Good afternoon!
SG sounds like your DD is doing wonderfully at school! Good for her You are right to be proud.
Daisy, I had one of those ECG things when I was pregnant with DD. Everything was fine with me, in the end. Hope it is with you too.
Jammy, was the man at the bus stop old? Just before christmas there was a woman who came talking to me, whilst I was shopping, and pointed to DD saying "how old is he?" I wouldn't have minded but she had a pink hat on, a dark pink coat and pink gloves (I like pink ).
Ria, hope you have a nice time with your sister!
Hi MHC and Fairyfay

I'm a little worried today. I was giving DD a bath this morning and I thought her eyes looked funny. When I looked closer I notice that one pupil was noticably more dialated than the other. She's been ok in herself, no difference to her personality and they seemed more normal afterwards, but I have just been a bit concerned as we had another falling of the bed incident the other day and a few days ago she slipped in the bath. God I feel like such a terrible mother!

I keep trying the HV but there is no answer! DD is asleep now.
Sorry for the ramble.

lackaDAISYcal · 26/06/2008 14:26

thanks izzybel...I'm sure it's just down to my iron levels. Had my bloods so will find out next week when I go back for the ECG.

You should mabe take DD to the doctors just to be on the safe side. She might have had a bit of concussion, or it could just be a problem with her eyes. One of my pupils is slightly bigger than the other due to a congenital eye defect. the pupil is bigger to let in more light to the damaged optical nerve.....this was missed by everyone until I was 12 years old and it was too late to do anything about it!

my kitchen is still a bombsite....I haven't done any washing up since Tuesday and there is laundry in various stages of the process all over the floor.

am off to do something about it while DD is asleep and before the school run.

Izzybel · 26/06/2008 14:45

Thanks Daisy. I think I'll give the doctors a ring and make an appointment just to be sure. She's awake now and they look totally normal now, but better to be safe than sorry!

I have shed loads of washing to do, but it has been torrential raining so it's almost impossible to get it done. I only have a washer/dryer so it takes hours to dry on the drying cycle and it means that I can't put anything in the washing machine while stuff is drying anyway!

See ya later xx

justRia · 26/06/2008 14:45

Hi all. thanks for you wishes, I spent the morning with Dsis as I was so wound up I was sick, filled the sink to wash up and went to clean the bathroom instead[lush]. it was annoying DH so he said I had to go to DMs the minute they arrived, we had breakfast and bucks fizz. yum, and it's FANTASTIC to see her and I dont know why I got in such a state (was awake from 5am waiting for a suitable time to go and decorate DMs house with balloons etc!!!)

hope your tests go ok daisy, glad DD a bit perkier norty.

jammy, that maths question last night, I would have managed 4 divided by 1 with a bit of thought, but the square route or whatever was way beyond me. I sm a bit dim with numbers.

hi izzy, mhc fairy & everyone

dd woke up screaming 20 mins ago and has only stopped cos i shoved a bottle in her gob. She is really bunged up and it looks like her nose has been bleeding. she wont let me near it to see whether its actually bleeding or if she has just scratched herself.

bottle all gone, and she seems chirpier, but still wont let me near her nose.

It's peeing down as well and I have to do the school run in a minute

obviously a north / south divide today....its sunny and warm here

Daisy...hope tests are ok...and DDs nose.....didn't you get a dishwasher for your washing up not so long ago?

Ria - glad you've seen your sister and you feel better.....I get in a state like that about everything and anything and its very irritating!

Although I've just been to a friends for lunch and kept it down (a major achievement for me!!)

Izzybel · 26/06/2008 15:08

Poor DD Daisy. I wonder if she has banged it. Hope she's ok
Rang Doctors. They are closed so I rang NHS direct. The nurse said that it sounds like one pupil was just slow to react at the time and it is not the result of a head injury .
I just have to keep an eye on her.
Glad you had a nice time with your sister Ria.
Well done to your DS for taking a step, MHC!
DD isn't walking yet or taken any steps, except for on where she just went thud to the floor! It was quite funny [cruel]. She looks so smug when she walks with her walker though. She gets a big grin on her face as if to say "aren't I a clever girl!"

LittleMissNorty · 26/06/2008 15:11

That's a relief Izzy....NHS are very good for worries I've found in the past.

My DD does the same thing with her walkers, and then lets go, realises she's standing unaided, and promptly falls over

Izzybel · 26/06/2008 15:11

of those of you who are having sunny days! It's absolutely pissing it down here. Don't think that I'll be taking the dog out in this, no siree!

Hi Norty

Hi

My dog's been for a swim as its so hot....DD in a sundress and covered in sun cream...

Think we're due to get the rain at the weekend though [typical]

Izzybel · 26/06/2008 15:16

Sundress and suncream! DD has a cardigan on!

LittleMissNorty · 26/06/2008 15:18

Perhaps its heading this way....or perhaps towards MHC....

right, must go and look like I'm doing something for when DH gets home....more blardy footie tonight, so expect I'll be on later. x

Izzybel · 26/06/2008 15:21

Right I'd best go as DD is causing havock around the computer table, pulling all the stuff off!

See you all later!

Izzybel · 26/06/2008 15:23

LOL Norty! DP always says that I do bugger all all day and then as he pulls into the drive I get the vacuum cleaner out (not true!)

Oops sorry! Have DD on my lap.

lackaDAISYcal · 26/06/2008 16:05

check your emails ladies...I've just heard from M&B that I have got re-useable nappies and skincare products.

I'm hoping that she hasn't sent out the big things yet and those double buggies are still mine!

DD OK, i think she just scratched herself which is why she woke up screaming. she had a bottle of milk and is now right as rain. She's only slept for 30 mins today though so I'll hopefully get her in bed early tonight.

Norty, I did get a dishwasher...the doing of the dishes chore has been replaced by the unloading/reloading the dishwasher chore though ....what i really need is a little lady who does
