Bunny didn't make it - but DP took him after work last night as he couldn't be left any longer. As I thought, he was very poorly. Poor DP told the vet he felt guilty because he thought we had been neglecting him but the vet said it could have happened in 24 hours - rabbits apparently are very good at hiding illness to avoid showing weakness. Anyway - without too much detail maggots and flies were involved and DP was very upset!

C seems to have dropped his morning sleep on a "normal" day - that is a stay in the house day - but could sleep 3 hours in the afternoon if left, usually he goes to sleep about 1.30 and I wake him for the school run.

He didn't go to sleep until 11pm last night and we had to wake him at 0930 this morning to go and get the new car!

Talking of the new car DP is currently sitting outside in the car with the hand book. I told him he is very geeky!

AprilMeadow · 21/06/2008 21:04

sorry to hear about the rabbit Sky

Have uploaded some 'work in progress' pictures of the new house

AbbyLou · 21/06/2008 21:09

Oh my god your house is a mansion! It's gorgeous! Think your kitchen is the same size as my downstairs!

Madamejaffa · 21/06/2008 21:56

Looking good AM! How exciting!

Poor Bunny SKY, sorry.

elkiedee · 21/06/2008 22:40

Sky, sorry about Bunny.

I guess it's the effect of the film but I'm shocked by how much the price of SATC complete on DVD has gone up, I was looking to see if there were any bargain buys for someone who mentioned it earlier but cheapest is nearly £100. I own it but I'm wondering if I should sell on ebay to raise money for a double buggy - the ones up for sale there look set to easily exceed what I paid for it.

Lupins71 · 22/06/2008 08:07

SKY poor bunny, hopefully hopping around in bunny heaven with big pile of carrots now

AM yummy house - its bloomin massive, hope it all gets finished soon

ELK if youi need the money then go for it - what are you going to get more use out of and now is te perfect time to sell them

My dog is on his last legs in this house, I wont go into too muc detail needless to say he ad left me 2 very large presents last night and didnt even ask to go out - what with is bloody barking as well he is seriously pushing his luck, trouble is he is nearly 10 and such a cute old fart and such a charachter in his own way but he is such work

Managed on 4 painkillers again yesterday went to bed at 8.30 but ended up reading till 11.30 - has anyone else read Labyrinth Kate Mosse I am near the end and am hooked

Was anyone else really cold last night dd was in with me we has thick duvet, light quilt and heavy wool blanket - it be nippy in the coontry

Have a good day all, must say have just started missing dp a bit - only taken over a week hahahahaha

largeginandtonic · 22/06/2008 13:03

Sky poor bunny!

TYG your dh needs a wake up call, i think you absolutely need a weekend spa break before the little man arrives. Him and S can look after A for a while. You need to re coup before all the huffing and puffing starts

April i cant waitto see your house! It looks gorgeous you lucky thing.

MrsJB i got the invite today, dh away again then and pretty sure i only have B so am planning to be in Plymouth staying with my mam for a rest. If i am up this way will deffo come though How is the non smoking going? Is it getting any easier?

Lups do you feel yuk during pregnancy, sickness etc? I hope you dont. Mine is lifting, i am starting to feel human again and my lovely friend bought me a box of KK's yesterday to say thank you for having her 4 for 2 days.

Did i tell you about that? She called me late on Wednesday night and asked me to come over. She is 21 weeks preg, i rean down the road in my barefeet (she is only 6 doors away) and found her half naked and very upset, she had passed 2 palm sized clots and had a big bleed. I took one look at it and made her phone the midwife who of course told her to go in. She has been bleeding on and off since the preg began, i suspected a low lying placenta. The hospital scanned her, baby all fine but placenta low. It had clotted around the cervix and that was why she was bleding. They have no idea if it will move up or stay put and clot again. She will be watched carefully now. She is moving in August I really like her, she is preg with #5 and we get on very well. I will miss her terribly.

Farcking poo pants to it all.

Anyway i ate a KK and felt good as i assume that i will be back to normal in no time

Oh god the weight...

I showed dh the buggy, he likes it too but it wont fir through the door. I am getting this one in marine i think.

Pink i hope the Christening is going well! Bet you and Lexie look gorgeous. Pics very soon please!!

Lupins71 · 22/06/2008 13:39

LGT I get really horrid sickness when pg - can only eat lemony things! I walked into one of farmer Jims fields earlier and it bloody stank! Ohh the whiffs of the countryside are gonna play havock with my sensitive tummy, I love the Jane pushchairs - I owned a powertrack 360 for a short while and really should have kept it it was a dream to push and te seats are really well padded, the handbrakes are essensial - gutted the buzz doesnt have one, As for te weight I am still carrying 10lb of post-arlen blubber - maybe I can exchange it iykwim. at your friend I hope she and baby are ok - how scary, I really hope they do keep a very close eye on her. I looked into some stats and a report of pregnancies following classic sections - unfortunatley theres a 25% neonatal death rate - only 1 of those was through uterine rupture, doesnt bode well, I will speak to quack tomorrow and will hopefully be armed with more info, tis hard to stop my mind racing ahead - I was thinking the other day xmas wasnt really that long after all we are nearly July already and now I face the possibility of having 3 at xmas - I know my date will be later than that but you know the history its not out of the question . Right the ironing pile calls while A is sleeping.

WTF Ebay have banned me because 2 of my parcels havent arrived - one of them is sat here because the postman delivered it back to me this morning - I cant even let the buyer know as my account is totally blocked I am getting really fed up with all thier red tape - it used to be a great place to make a few extra £ but know what with all the charges and nonsense that is Ebay, really now they are aiming at a business market - my mum has a business account her fees are nearly £200 a month on there plus paypal fee's and her fee's are reduced sometimes because she is a business account holder - nonsense nonsense nonsense!!! how am I supposed to maintain a buggy fetish is I cant flippin sell all my old crap!

madeindevon2 · 22/06/2008 14:15

my poor ds is in bed still ill. taking him back to docs tomorrow.hes constantly ill at the moment.
he's up and down (probably in cycles of calpol/nurofen) slept 9.30 til 11.30. had 2 spoons of lunch, 5oz milk then fell asleep on me about 12.45 and has been in bed again ever since.

one doc said throat infection, another said "Just a virus" but he just doenst seem to be fighting it off..
dh isnt here either. hes with his other kids at his mums.

MKG · 22/06/2008 14:27

Hello to all--

Lups--I hope this week brings you some sense of direction. I can't imagine how worried you are on top of being sick as a dog.

Lg&T I hope your friend does well. It sucks when we finally connect with someone and then they go away. As adults I've noticed that there are very few people I truly call friends.

MKG · 22/06/2008 14:28

MID2- let him sleep it off. I almost never give my kids medicine, I just pump them full of fluids and put them to bed.

JamInMyWellies · 22/06/2008 14:34

MID poor DS tis crap when they are feeling poorly.

AM you gaff looks fab.

LG&T I really feel for your friend I had a major low lying placenta with A and was in and out of hospital the last couple of months of my preg with big clots. It moved out of the way and I had, as you know the parch naturally. Tell her not to worry too much but to just take things easy.

LUPS bloody ebay.

TILY MrsJB hows the no smoking going?

DP is on his way home from the stag wkend. The groom ended up in hospital last night after falling down some steps while drunken peeing against a wall. Apparantly his eye is so swollen it wont open and he has a row of stiches up above it. The bride is not going to be HP. I defo would not like to be him when he gets home.

Trekked up to London yesterday to go to Taste of London. All the top London resteraunts haves stalls in Regents Park and you can do tasting menus. Mucho yummyness. Although kind of forgot how knackering things like that are when you are preggo. Was knackered with a giant headache last night. And I cannot get over the amount of unhelpful numpty tube users there are . Not once did someone offer to give me a hand lumping Archie up and down the stairs.

Madamejaffa · 22/06/2008 21:22

Tilly, your were asking about goobers other thread on our other one. Didn't want to link it on the thread as she'll be watching it. here it is

Jam, still going good, it is getting easier, just seem to have a wobble in the evening, but I am not undoing the last 9 days.

Lg&t, glad it arrived, would love you to be there obviously if you are around but would also love you to be resting at your Mums. Hope all stays well with your friend. must have been scary but I bet she was pleased to have you around.

Lupins, I hope you hear what you are hoping for at the dr's tomorow.

Madamejaffa · 22/06/2008 21:24

Ohhhh tilly, just seen you've found it. xx

elkiedee · 22/06/2008 21:43

LGT, eek about your friend, is she moving far? I'm sure she'll miss you too. Hope her pregnancy keeps for as long as possible.

AprilMeadow · 23/06/2008 08:59

Morning all

Taking Ella for her 1st haircut this morning - not sure what she will look like when done, i guess it depends how still she sits

twelveyeargap · 23/06/2008 09:57

It will look very cute AM. It will probably just take ages, because they'll get a piece ready to cut and then she'll move

Thinking of you today Lupins.

LG&T - That is ALWAYS happening to me. I make a lovely friend and then they bugger off on me.

How was the Christening, PJ?

I'm shattered. I think I may have overdone it yesterday. I cleared about 6 bin bags of rubbish from the cellar, re-arranged the remaining stuff and cleaned it. Shame nobody but me goes down there to see it. DH "didn't realise" what I was up to until I was almost finished and said I shouldn't have been lifting heavy stuff. Errrr.... Don't know what he thought I was doing down there for 4 hours. Anyway, he loaded up the car for the dump and helped with that. And we bought a fold-y up ladder for £65 with which we can access the loft. Slightly cheaper than the £1300 built-in option. There's a cubby on the top landing where we can store the ladder so it's really no different to a "proper" loft ladder. I'm going to get stuff ready to go up in the loft this week and DH will heft it up there for me. Even I'm not that brave at 35 weeks pregnant. Next Sunday I'm 30, so whilst I can't be arsed "celebrating", I don't plan on doing housework either and then the Sunday after that I'll be 37 weeks, so the "birthing room" has to be ready for action, hence the sudden push to sort the house. Blimey.

My downstairs toilet still isn't fixed? Leak in soil pipe temporarily fixed, but because the toilet was "built in" as I mentioned before, they can't connect the toilet to the outlet. The plumber brought a mate round on Friday evening and after three hours of farting around, they were stumped. Whole cistern hidey whole malarky has to be demolished to connect the toilet back up. I swear, the thing is bomb-proof. It would be the only part of our house left standing if there was an earthquake. Told DH we should just buy a cheap "normal" toilet and decorate around it instead of trying to re-build the box around the old toilet and then have to demolish it again if something else goes wrong. Can you imagine? Argh.

Waffle, waffle...

Giving A a short morning nap didn't work. She still couldn't sleep in the afternoon. Bugger. Would have been very handy to still have her on two two-hour naps when the baby arrived. Oh well. Keeping her up as long as possible this morning and going to try for one long lunchtime sleep. She doesn't seem too deranged yet.

Now where is my midwife? She was supposed to be here around 9. I wonder is she at a birth and can't phone? We were talking about kids sleeping in bed with their mothers last time I saw her and she mentioned that her son slept in her bed every night until recently. He's 12. I hope my face didn't register the gasp I had to hold in. Is it just me or does that strike anyone else as slightly odd? I can only presume that she's single...

twelveyeargap · 23/06/2008 10:03

Ooh and I ordered a big larder press from Ikea. (A press is a cupboard in Ireland, by the way - I still can't say "airing cupboard". I have to say "hot press".) Can't wait to build it and get all my baking and grocery items in there. Means I'll be able to stock up at Costco on huuuuuuge amounts of dried goods and also have lots of space in my nice tidy cellar for cleaning products. Isn't it a nice feeling when you finally get something done that you've been meaning to do for months? Aaaahhhhh.

JamInMyWellies · 23/06/2008 10:05

Boody nora TYG can you imagine it. I dont hink i owuld have been able to stop myself saying are oyu mad woman. Also you are mad will you calm down you have a teenage daughter and a husband surely they should be doing all this sorting out.

Well DP got back from the stag in one piece shame the groom didnt.

What the fook is going on with the daytime sleeps. I know it can happen at this stage but why has he decided that one nap a day is sufficient, grr. He is upstairs now putting on a show for all his teddies lots of singing and chatting. Will have to attempt to keep him sane until lunch tom and hope for a vvv long afternoon sleep. I cant be getting more pregnant and Archie not snoozing in the day.

Bet Ella look slovely after the haircut. We havnt given A one yet.

Congrats on the no smpoking Mrs JB you guys have done so well.

Use Firefox as your browser. Then you can download the English (British) dictionary add-on for it and it checks your spelling as you type online.

Glad DH survived.

twelveyeargap · 23/06/2008 10:38

Oooh, just re-read that. What happened to the groom?

My DH broke his shoulder on his stag weekend.

JamInMyWellies · 23/06/2008 10:44

I use firefox how would I go about downloading spell thingy thats if it works on a mac.

Oh the groom nearly got arrested for some nakendness at Ascot then while vvv drunk tried to stand and pee against a wall near a flight of stairs and fell down them trip to casualty in an ambulance. They all seemed v proud that they had managed to tick several of the stag do must haves.

OP posts:
elkiedee · 23/06/2008 11:18

You've got the nesting badly TYG.

But Jam, get a 13 year old to spend the day cleaning the cellar out? At that age I probably wouldn't have been out of bed most of the morning, I did do some looking after my brother and less but some with my sister but they would have been a little older than A.

Oops at the stag do, is the wedding still going ahead?

AprilMeadow · 23/06/2008 12:23

Both my monkies look cute after their haircuts. Ella sat still the entire time! She doesnt look much different just looks neater. Jack had his done as a grade 3 so doesnt look totally squadie but not far off

Been out in the garden cleaning all the kids toys so that they dont all look the same nasty green colour.

Kiddies are off to nursery in half hour and then i will be attacking the supermarket and starting the mamouth job of cleaning our house (not the new one)

Pink, hope L's Christening went well and that you had lovely weather.

TYG defiantely sounds like a case of nesting to me
