Hi Runny

Wow what a busy few weeks you've had.

Hooray to J getting excited about school and enjoying being in the water

Enjoy your wine and lay-in tomorrow.
xx

lexilex · 20/06/2008 22:08

it will be good to know if some of the 4 year old are being strange in the run up to sept? ds has developed some very weird obsessions at playschool, and we think its down to him being worried bout starting school.

dp is being ok, but spending most of his time at his mates on the ps3, so dont really see him much, it made me see have much he actully does round the house and with the kids now though. ive been so busy. x

Sexonlegs · 20/06/2008 22:09

Runny, great to see you. I was going to ask on here as to your whereabouts! Now we know!!

Lexilex, my 14 mth old dd is Katie

Right. Off to bed. K already sounding unsettled. She is refusing medised these days. I used to be able to put it in her bottle, but she has cottoned on to it. Tries using the syringe too but she dribbles it out of her mouth the monkey.

Thoughts??

Sexonlegs · 20/06/2008 22:11

Bollocks, she is well awake. Best be off - see you tomorrow

AngeG · 20/06/2008 22:12

Thoughts on Medicine. Izzy will only take medicine from a neurofen syringe. It's flat not pointy at the end and she doesn't spit so much out. Whereas with a normal syringe she spits it all out everywhere.

Night. Hope you have a good night. x

Oh Bless you Ds lexilex. J doesn't seem to upset by the thought atm.

How much longer is DP laid up for?

AngeG · 20/06/2008 22:12

x posts SOL. Hope she settles ok xx

AngeG · 20/06/2008 22:14

CaptainDippy · 20/06/2008 22:25

Night all xx

elkiedee · 20/06/2008 23:04

Goodnight all, I've obviously missed all the fun again, this thread has filled up as fast as they used to in our really hyper days - before lots of us went back to work?

I went to the funeral of a family friend this afternoon, my mum and dh came down and both her sisters and dh/dp were there, and my cousin's wife and teenage daughter. The service was very moving, hymns and prayers and a Maori song (the dead man was a New Zealander as were my grandparents), and it was in a beautiful church in Fulham (and I'm not even religious). Interestingly, following recent conversations, there were 2 babies there (I think probably Bruce's dp's grandchildren). People afterwards were talking about wanting to call him up and say "you should have been there" (sniff). Then I had a ridiculously roundabout journey home from the opposite side of London as my aunt doesn't like the tube.

Welcome Lexilex.

We must find a better way of getting D to sleep, current system has gone a bit pearshaped. Tonight when he wouldn't sit still let alone lie down I ended up taking him in the buggy for a slightly longer walk than usual. I brought him home thinking at least he's quieter now, he might drink his milk and he fell asleep just as I'd given up hope. Now I just need to remember where I hid our second landline phone from him.

Caz, sorry the test went

lexilex · 21/06/2008 00:01

is anyone still up??? or am i just crazy?? xxxx

Pisha · 21/06/2008 00:16

still up but talking to friend whose scared to leave her dh

lexilex · 21/06/2008 00:19

hiya, i hope things arnt to be bad with your friend. xxxx

Pisha · 21/06/2008 00:29

its been going on a long time and we've had a lot of these late night calls. Hes controlling and manipulative and a complete *@#$!

dont know how to help her!

lexilex · 21/06/2008 00:35

i know how that feels, my mate has finally come out of a relationship like that, and i think its for good this time, but the worst thing you can do is to tell her to get out. unfortunatly is something she can only do herself when shes ready, and the more people go on the more she will want to prove that everything is ok, all you can do is be there for the bad times, for someone for her to talk too and one day she will realise. xxx

CaptainDippy · 21/06/2008 08:49

Oh for your friend Pisha xx

Morning - off to granny's 90th celebrations today, so will be back tomorrow evening - "see" you ladies then

AngeG · 21/06/2008 09:02

Morning

Have a good time Dippy.

for your friend Pesha.

Hope the scan goes ok for DP lexilex and that he's back to work soon.

Elkie - Glad the funeral went ok. Hope you found the phone. We're also hiding phones and remotes from Izzy.

Still a bit overcast here today. Will probably brave it and take DC to the preschool fair.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Sexonlegs · 21/06/2008 09:24

Morning all.

Pisha, hope your friend is ok; what a horrible situation to be in.

Dippy, enjoy the 90th

Elkie, glad the funeral went well.

Morning Ange Good luck with the pre-school fair.

Grey here today and raining.

Night was ok thankfully. B came in at 6, but we persuaded her to disappear, so she went downstairs and watched a dvd and ate shreddies bless her. She came back up at 8.15 and K was still asleep!

Now all up. Feel awful - probably how the dc are feeling.

Feeling really bored with life too. I know I have no reason to complain, when you look at what some are going through on mn. Just feel is this it??

I'll shut up now!

runnyhabbit · 21/06/2008 09:57

Morning all

I've actually managed to read some of the thread Dh has taken the boys out for their haircut, and said he might go and look at tvs. Which actually means, he could be coming home with a new one later this afternoon

Btw - don't know if anyone has said anything about the Sex and the City film, but I went see it and, it was FAB. Proper girlie film, and even though I can't remember the last time I saw SATC on tv, its made me want to buy the series, lol

lexilex - Welcome to the madhouse I've got 2 boys. Joshua was 3 in May, and William is my April baby J starts school in Sept, and his school takes them full time after a few weeks. These weekly sessions really seem to help him understand that its "his" school.
I'm getting quite excited at the thought of school fayres etc (does that make me sad) Dh also seems to think that its only a matter of time before I'm on the PTA board...can't think what he means

Off to enjoy a shower, in peace Such a luxury!

Have a nice day
x

cazboldy · 21/06/2008 11:30

Lexi - so you have 3 dc atm

Moly is my april baby, and I have 4 older ones.

James 11, Caitlin 8, Harry 7 and Charlie 2

SOL - we too have croup in the house! Harry started barking last night.......

Dippy - have a good time

Elkie - the funeral sounded nice (as far as that is possible iykwim)

Wow to all these first steps.......Molly is nearly there......

Oooggs - sounds manky, but all I could manage to eat was cheddars - you know those little cheese biscuits - when i was bad.......I can't even face them now though!

There is a small possibility of a new job (again)

The advert says "spacious 3 bed bungalow" the question is how spacious?????

I have found the blokes home number - turns out to be a chap we know quite well. He has dc of Caitlin and harry's age, and We met him out bowling a while back........If dh doesn't ring him, who thinks I should??????

Last but not least I think I have found Dancer (the shetland pony) a husband and am going to go and have a look and see about her becoming a Mummy!!!!

Add to that that we need to give the cow a bath and a haircut today, and my life is as mad as usual

cazboldy · 21/06/2008 11:31

Molly I must learn to check my messages.....

runnyhabbit · 21/06/2008 12:31

message from mammyjo

"I was admitted again last night with pain. I am going to theatre this afternoon to get my gallbladder out. I am really pleased but very scared too!"

I texted back asking if her dh could keep me/us posted, if he had the time.

So pleased that she is finally going to get this sorted.

cazboldy · 21/06/2008 12:42

Good Luck Mammyjo! xxxx

Sexonlegs · 21/06/2008 13:23

Thanks Runny. Please send mj lots of love. Delighted she will finally be able to get treated and be on the mend soon.

Caz, to croup. We have a humidifier which we bought a while ago and it has been money well spent. Do you have one?

Feel rough as hell today.

Hope everyone is ok. x
