Hi all

Another knackering day at work - and when I got home I made myself hoover and wash the kitchen floor It was just too filthy to bear!
B is much happier than last week so that's good and I bought her nursery photo as she looks so happy on it

Mammyjo - hope you get a date soon - top of the list is good!

Oooggs - sorry you feel so lousy - I don't miss that side of pregnancy one little bit!

Eddas - sorry about the name thing - i've been freting all day - was that name of personal significance? So sorry to go throwing my considerable and thoughtless weight around

Caz - hope you and dh are ok - sorry again about your news.

SOL - hope the green snot goes away soon! It's a shame we can't sell it isn't it? I'd have made a fortune out of B!

Elkie - hope D and dp are both on the road to recovery soon. Sorry you're so knackered - but it will get better - how many weeks are you now?

Hi to Dippy and everyone else

Sexonlegs · 17/06/2008 20:15

Evening.

NL, you are a mad woman! Hoovering and cleaning the floor!!! Hope it made you feel better.

Elkie, hope you are feeling ok.

Ange, how was Izzy when you took her to the docs the other day?

Brain emptied. Had a really boring day at work. Dh came home at 6 and went straight to bed with a v dodgy tummy. Thank God we have 2 bathrooms is all I can say. Have kept the girls well away and tbh I haven't been in to see him. It looks as tho I shall be sleeping elsewhere tonight. K is also coughing her head off - again.

So, all in all I am feeling extremely tired and stressed

Sorry for the whinge.

NorthernLurker · 17/06/2008 20:32

Oh no a poorly dh! Men are crap when they're ill aren't they - moan, winge, vom, wing and vom some more! Hope he's better soon.

Yes I am mad - but mad with a clean floor!

Eddas · 17/06/2008 20:32

N, don't worry about it, it was early, and it's dd's name which is why I took offence. Took us forever to think of her name anyway doesn't matter, personal tastes and all that.

Elkie, my 2 have been suffering with an odd virus or something. DD had it first, came over all hot and tired one afternoon, is now off her food, been like it around a week now. the food that is. and she's still ired. ds had it on friday, nursery phoned to say he'd come over very hot, i was on my way home at the time anyway. he was then very sleepy for a day or two and is off food. Maybe there's just something odd going round as EandH's little girl is similar to my dd today Hope d is better soon

Re sleeping, dd pretty much slept when she wanted too. ds has to fit in. bless him. he sleeps whilst dd is at preschool and i know he'd sleep longer if i didn't have to wake him to collect her. he will nap in his buggy but not properly so it's always in his cot. With dd she fell asleep on the sofa mainly but ds wouldn't sleep at all if i didn't put him in his room. Poor second borns

My friends mum's funeral is on tuesday I woke up at 3am this morning thinking about her, couldn't get back to sleep for what seemed like forever

NorthernLurker · 17/06/2008 20:39

Eddas - I though your dd's name began with an M but that's Pesha isn't it? Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh

NorthernLurker · 17/06/2008 20:40

I'm sorry about your bad night as well. Other people's grief is hard isn't it - because there's not much we can do with it iyswim - just have to feel it - I'm so sorry about your friend's mum.

CaptainDippy · 17/06/2008 20:40

...and poor third borns too!

Off to eat Indian (not the people, the food ) YUM!

NorthernLurker · 17/06/2008 20:41

oh yes third borns are lucky if we notice they are napping!

Eddas · 17/06/2008 20:41

don't beat yourself with a mop you mad woman! I'm a bit tetchy atm (see bottom of last post) If you met my dd she'd change your mind or maybe she could talk you into submission ds calls her gorga if that's any better

Eddas · 17/06/2008 20:43

i'm not testing any third born theories

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm curry

NorthernLurker · 17/06/2008 20:46

Oh I know she's lovely I did know one a while back that I didn't care for at all - that'll be the problem you see and when I was thinking about the name I didn't think of you because i could have sworn her name was 'something else'. Anyway - as long as I'm not excommunicated from the thread for being dim that's ok

NorthernLurker · 17/06/2008 20:48

Re third born theories - you say that now but when your ds is 5 I bet you think again - that's what I did - and look what a good effect it's had on my brain cells

StealthPolarBear · 17/06/2008 20:54

hi

Eddas · 17/06/2008 20:55

More likely to be me booted out for being stupid and hormonal!

i doubt very much we'll have anymore children. I'd love another baby but don't want another teenager in the house. I will make do with my friends and families babies, if they ever have any we're all 30ish so some of them will start soon surely

I may even career change and work with small people(children, not just people lacking in height such as myself)

Although, having said that if we win the lottery and dh can stop work i'd have 2 more don't like odd numbers and i'm one of 3 so that may have something to do with not wanting 3

Eddas · 17/06/2008 20:58

hi spb

dh is watching football he is watching Holland v Romania which i should care about(I have Holland in the sweepstake) but Holland are already through. When does it all finish? seems to have been on forever it's only been a week and a bit though.

NorthernLurker · 17/06/2008 21:03

Don't these football things last about a month? Hideous long time anyway. I'm one of 2 so 3 feels like a big step for me 4 is a country I won't be visiting! I have to go unpack my shopping now so see you all later

AngeG · 17/06/2008 21:06

Evening all

Eddas - I like the name Georgia, Izzy was almost called it My DH is watching football too.

SOl - Hope DH better soon. Doctors said the usual. Lungs clear, ears ok, just a virus/cold

Forgotten everything else

Nothing exciting going on here. Life very boring and monotonous (sp) atm

StealthPolarBear · 17/06/2008 21:11

is there football on?
Well, off to read book while DH watches a DVD, after a short lurjk. Very tired tonight and still feeling awful.

Sexonlegs · 17/06/2008 21:19

Hi Ange Lovely to see you.

Eddas, ikwym re not wanting 3 dc. It would have to be 4 if we were going for more than B and K, but I am not keen. Dh would like more, but then, let's face it, who does most of the childcare.......

SPB, sorry you are still feeling rough. Not sure if you do hugs, but hve one anyway

Just been naughty. The phone rang and I ignored it as I sensed it might be the mil It was!!!!!!

Saved!

StealthPolarBear · 17/06/2008 21:21

"It would have to be 4 if we were going for more than B and K, but I am not keen"
Why? Do you only have children in even numbers?
I do that all the time with PILs, thought it was normal

Sexonlegs · 17/06/2008 21:25

I just think 4 would be a better number - 2 each!

But, NO MORE FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right, may go to bed soon; I am shattered.

StealthPolarBear · 17/06/2008 21:27

lol at 2 each - is that how it works?
I may join you (well, not literally...For a start I don't think you live anywhere near me, and secondly what would I say to DH...I'll stop rambling)
Night!

Eddas · 17/06/2008 21:29

glad i'm not the only odd person sol

hi ange, my life is very samey and dull zzzzzzzzzzzzz

spb sorry you're not feeling well. what's with all the illness everywhere. i have been sneezing all day and i don't have hayfever

we're getting a replacement mattress delivered tomorrow and they're delivering around 7am too bloody early IMO, i'll have to be up and have stripped the bed by then. I suppose i should be dressed too, but then i may just shove a jumper on

Sexonlegs · 17/06/2008 21:32

SPB, absolutely pmsl! Sleep tight honey!!!!!

Eddas, blimey, 7.00 is v early indeed. Hope it is worth the early rise.

Right, am going to bed - the spare bed. think I am in for a shit nights sleep.

StealthPolarBear · 17/06/2008 21:33

7am!!
I feel OK at home but at work where I can't blow my nose like a trumpet every 30s and cough my guts up I suffer (lovely image). PLus I sneezed earlier and my ear went dead for about an hour, I was totally deaf and felt oncoordinated
Moan moan winge winge
