Well, we're enjoying a beer after a hectic day. Jamlet was asleep before I could put her in her cot tonight. I did just have to go up and settle her when she woke crying but it only took a couple of minutes and I hope that'll be that until morning now.

Fairy, I hope you get some break from stress from DD. Hopefully it won't last long and the next phase will see her being super calm and helpful [hopeful emoticon] And I am v of your spa day, and of having such a thoughtful DH.

FrazzledFairyFay · 13/06/2008 20:44

Thanks Jammy - the thought of Wednesday is keeping me going... Also, knowing that Dh is off work all next week so at least there will be 2 of us to deal with her

Sputnik · 13/06/2008 20:49

You have my sympathy Fairy, potty training was the worst part of parenting I have done so far. With DD we gave her a sticker on the potty for every wee, that seemed to work. 1 year on (well 10 1/2 months) we have just about cracked poos. She never pooed herself, thankfully, but was insisting on a nappy.

FrazzledFairyFay · 13/06/2008 20:51

Thanks Sputnik. The most frustrating thing is that she was dry and clean for several weeks - day and night, and just seems to have regressed. As Daisy said, this too will pass. I just wish it would blardy hurry up

FrazzledFairyFay · 13/06/2008 21:01

Thanks again for all the sympathy. Dh is out so I'm going to bed with my magazine. Have good weekends everyone.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/06/2008 21:06

Night Fairy. Hope the birthday picnic goes well.

I am off too. SeansGirl and MHC - Happy Birthday to your LOs for tomorrow

lackaDAISYcal · 13/06/2008 21:14

we got a pampers kandoo pack that included a reward book and stickers. DS really responded to it after months of not having much success. I don't know if they still do it, but I think it was a freebie from their parenting club.

Our friends were having ishoos with their 3.5 yesr old DD pooing her pants (she used to run into corners and do it and would sit in poo for ever given the chance!) and they knocked it on the head with a star chart on the toilet door. she got a star for every time she pooed in the toilet and after so many stars was getting her bedroom decorated just how she wanted it...pink with stars not surprisingly!

fury, if you are lurking, I hope you're feeling better today

ooh, got an email about the mother and baby awards...testers will be notified soon; fingers crossed.

Can't remember if it was before or after I was pregnant that I filled out the initial email though so not sure if I wanted to test twin buggies or not

not sure having all the testers e-mail addresses visible to all in the header was such good form though . I saw yours on there holly!

buntinglicious · 13/06/2008 21:47

Me too but I didn't see all the emails?

lackaDAISYcal · 13/06/2008 22:03

there was a huge list of them showing on mine, but only as far as J in the alphabet

CAn you remember when you filled in the initial form?

I'm hoping I get picked.

did you get some useful stuff from the cost of living thread bumper?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/06/2008 06:39

What a crap night After getting up to settle her (she never really woke, aws jusy crying in sleep and settled at just a hand on tummy) 6 times between 12.30 and 1.30 I gave in and fed her, then she woke at 5am! I changed her and managed to get her to snooze in bed with us for an hour, but not good

I also get the testing email, but saw no list of recipients

Aw MHC, that's bad being sick on a birthday Hope it doesn't ruin the day. Two children (sisters) have pulled out of our party due to sickness That's our guest list cut in half! But at least it's sunny.

No nap for me, got to tidy up ready for this afternoon. Thankfully I bought a cake in the end, despite good intentions to bake, so there should be plenty of time instead of having to work flat out to fit it all in.

buntinglicious · 14/06/2008 13:56

Hi all,

Happy Birthday babyMHC and babySG! MHC sorry about the sickness.

Jammy hope you have a good party. We are going to a 1st birthday bbq this afternoon.

Can we have a tooth count? DD got two at once when she was 9 months but nada since. When can I expect the next ones?

LittleMissNorty · 14/06/2008 15:15

Poor you. I think a fake birthday is definitely called for.

lackaDAISYcal · 14/06/2008 17:32

evening

I am officially a Breast Buddy . I have a little badge and everything. Next step is doing Mother supporter stuff with the ABM, then the ABM Breast Feeding Counsellor course.

Can't wait to put things in practice now

sorry to hear about the poorliness mhc and jammy, but I hope DS had a good birthday regardless mhc. I've been feeling very ropey today and my tummy is deciding whether to accept or reject the plate of spag bol I've just eaten.

DH says the toys on that site are too expensive.....spoilsport

Has anyone read any good books lately? I am doing an Amazon order for DD's birthday stuff and want to get some books for me too.

lackaDAISYcal · 14/06/2008 17:34

oh, and DD had five teeth. two on the bottom that came together, then her top two, and then one on the left at the top over a month ago, but no sign of it's partner yet!

I wonder why I can see all the email addressess on the M&B award email?
