Hi there

Bumper / Bunter?!! Those meals are great - just the right texture and as they are just like 'real food' I have been tempted to cook one up for myself a few times

I feel like starting a new thread entitled 'If your a nasty wanker then fu*k off' but I think MN might remove it

I just hate how a perfectly nice thread can be going along (like about bumbo seats) and some upstart comes on saying 'why don't you actually sit behind your child so they can develop rather than sitting them in some contraption' I want to shout 'F off!' but wont - I'll only be acused of bullying again
Why is it that nasty rude people can post away being horrible to everyone and when I call them an arsehole - I get stoned

I feel a bit cheap now... I just looked at DKMA's So Baby website...wow!

I buy sainsburys basics ready meals for DS when I am having a lazy day, I get them for 40p from the reduced section

I think he may grow up with 'Ishoooooos'

Izzybel · 11/06/2008 14:18

Happy Birthday to Chloe!

What a scary thing to happen last night though, Trace. Hope she's okay now and has a lovely day despite that and having to see the Paed. Sounds like you've had a tough year.

DKMA, nice to see you.
Those baby meals look good, but at £2.25 each! I thought cow and gate jars were expensive at 96p.
Daisy, at you being 19 weeks already. It's so difficult not to worry isn't it, but you'll soon have a beautiful tiny bubba in your arms! and .

DD had her jab and screamed the place down! She's fine now, just eating her dinner.
I was asking the nurse about the MMR as we're still undecided and she was saying that the link to autism has been widely discredited, but now since hearing that many mners think that it has had something to do with their child's autism I am undecided again.

DKMA · 11/06/2008 14:19

Hey MHD - I have heard of celebs who do the kiddie food diet it's a good way to eat smaller portions I s'pose.

It's the passive agressive that I struggle with! I just get aggressive

DKMA · 11/06/2008 14:22

Hey Fury and Izzy

Fury - good point about the ready meals but I'd shit myself over the salt content? Or are they not as bad as they used to be?

HellHathNoFury · 11/06/2008 14:26

The basics range is low in salt (but yes they do have a little, but only a tiny amount) Hardly any compared to the other ranges.

I love them, they are low in salt, low in sugar, DS loves them and I have tried them all and whilst they are a bit bland they taste a damn site better than Annabel Karmel for a fraction of the cost.

I am tight though.

DKMA · 11/06/2008 14:30

worth bearing in mind then

HellHathNoFury · 11/06/2008 14:34

pah, don't listen to me though, I suck. Seriously.
People at work take the piss out of me all the time.

HellHathNoFury · 11/06/2008 14:40

Right, I'm off for a cup of tea and the like. Bye all!

Don't be so silly fury! You don't suck, you numpty!

I think those pots are great, tres expensivo though. I am trying, not very successfully though, to keep our weekly shop under £40, how difficult can it be with only 3 of us?! There's always something though, like friends over for dinner, or a picnic in the park. I'm just off now to a poncy kitchin shop to buy implements for baking a cake for DD's birthday. Am considering buying a piping bag!

lackaDAISYcal · 11/06/2008 14:54

lol DKMA...avert your eyes and step away from the thread. I've just been reaidn one in AIBU where the OP is getting accused of lying when all she said was her DP expects her to be happy for his layabout friend and she isn't. why oh why do people post in AIBU? do they never learn.

DD has the occasional kiddies ready meal, but am too stingy to buy them so opt for pasta and dolmio kiddy pasta sauce when speed is of the essence.

mhc, I bought 10 bimbles and 4 diddy diapers....so cute and fluffy.

If anyone is looking for nappy/nappy accessory bargains....check out this thread and link

bunting....my excuse for not being alpha mummy and buying rather than making cake is that we never have real flour in the house. And I wouldn't want to force gluten free on the guests

Oh, sainsbury's have offered me £15 in vouchers to make up for them trashing my gut for the next three months. Very generous of them
oh bugger...school run time!

bumper you don't need a piping bag - use a plastic food bag and chop off a teeny bit from the corner!

Obviously doesn't do fancy piping but why spend the money if you only need a basic pipe?

I use ready meals for DS sometimes, or sometimes I just give him low salt, low suger baked beans and toast which always goes down well. Or scrambled eggs.

HellHathNoFury · 11/06/2008 15:32

I just bought a breadmaker. Any recommendation on which yeast/flour to use?

sainsbos took my address and will send me some vouchers. Better than nothing I suppose.

fury, apparently the bread flour from Lidl is one of the better ones. foxy and jammy make their own bread. Must dig ours out fo the loft and try making some nice GF bread. I am sooo lazy when it comes to baking, and I used to do it all the time before being diagnosed.

farking hell...DD is having her first tantrum . She has been screaming for about 10 minutes because I won't let her get into the corner with all the cables etc. It's a real bona fide tantrum as well, with kicking and thumping and headbanging the floor and trying to bite me if I try to pick her up. I'm totally . I know the terrible twos refer to the second year, but 6 days after her birthday!!!!!!

Am trying to ignore her now, after having tried to cuddle her in and nothing is working.....sheesh.

I think she is still a bit unsettled after her jab yesterday, and inspite of a two hour nap this morning; she is still very tired.

Early nights all round in the boo household.

Interestingly DS never kicked off like this until around 20 months, but I'd heard that girls are more difficult.
