We have given up on the footy since Poland made such a hash of it (BIL is NZ born Polish so we adopted them)

Hi foxy. Can't DP pay the late-night price instead? maybe not...

It is our WA tomorrow. 12 years. I have planned NOTHING for the first time ever, not a card, present or special breakfast. I was going to buy DH a compost bin (him being so full of shite) but couldn't afford the one in the local garden centre and couldn't be arsed to drive any further to get a cheaper one. Although, he is cooking at the school BBQ tomorrow (instead of cooking me something special and letting me stay in bed all day etc) so he doesn't deserve anything

foxythesnowfox · 20/06/2008 22:42

LOL Ria! WA are over-rated IMHO.

Not sour grapes on my part or anything

having reluctantly watch HFW go on about chickens I gave it some thought before I bought it (being a nasty tesco value bird girl out of current neccessity), but why shouldn't they - free range or battery - eat whatever they fancy. It wouldn't worry me if the bloody thing had eaten fillet steak (except that is too good for a chicken and I'll have it instead!). But anyway, will stop observing before I get trashed by a worm-freedom-fighter or similar

I do object to fish-meal though cos it makes the eggs taste manky. Maybe they don't feed them that anymore?

LOL Ria ...but, we got a really cheap deal on our compost bin through the council. One that would cost £30 in a garden centre, we paid £10 delivered. Check your local council's website

Is there some sort of football competition on at the minute?

afaik chickens are omnivorous like us and pigs.

mhc, I'm with you on the Roman Empire; all that decadence and laying around eating...although knowing my karma, I'd probably have been a slave......or thrown into fight my corner with the lions!

I'm orf to bed....hopefully DDs skinful of carbs will mean a good night sleep for everyone.

Catch y'all in the morrow.

I think our council d o that. I just didn't think of it in time. It's his b'day soon...

I think I'll call it a day too,I have nothing valid to add either. I will not let DH put MTV "best ever ..." on at midnight tonight. I need sleep.

lackaDAISYcal · 21/06/2008 10:55

morning all.

FOXY.....can you give any words of wisdom over here?

OP posts:
lackaDAISYcal · 21/06/2008 10:57

ria....you can always order it and then make him up a wee "arriving soon..." voucher to go in his birthday card

just enjoying Saturday kitchen while the boys are at swimming. Doing the garden this afternoon while the weather holds....she says as the first spots of rain have hit the window...bugger!

Happy Birthday DSs for Andie and Fury

am i the only one with no life today?

Am having a sofa day as i feel fecking knackered and it's raining so I can't get in the garden....although the boys are digging me a cabbage patch

and if my bloody cat uses my bump as a springboard to launch herself to the other end of the sofa one more time I'm going to strangle her

Well that sounds more comfortable than the missing consonant that my brain added to retal!

My legs ache! I walked 11.5 miles this morning, and some of it was pretty miserable Some of the footpaths were so overgrown I had to push my way through the vegetation, so i got soaked through even though it wasn't actually raining and one of my wrists got all swollen with stinging nettle stings. And some paths were so muddy that I almost slipped over several times, and I forgot to take any snacks with me so after 8 miles I was worn out! But thankfully I went past a newsagents so a Snickers bar and a can of pop gave me the sugar rush i needed to finish off.

lackaDAISYcal · 21/06/2008 15:38

sorry about your shitty walk Jammy. You must feel very proud of yourself though

ahaha mhc...all clear now!

duly posted on that thread Daisy

We are watching Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, having gone to our local 'old fashioned' sweet shop and bought a huge amount of sherbert fountains, candy necklaces, sherbert pips, lemonade crystals, toffee bon bons, fried eggs, cola bottles etc etc.

I hasten to add they are being rationed out! Although I am bouncing off the walls!

I ration all the DCs sweets.....one for them, half a packet for me.....one for them, quarter of a packet for me.....one for them, the rest of the packet for me

sounds like a good day foxy. We have watched Ghostbusters and are now watching some crap Hulk film on ITV. Am biding my time till the kids are in bed and I can have chicken fried rice, chips and curry sauce for tea. Everytime DH asks what I want to eat he gets the same reply. not sure if it's a better or worse craving than the Galaxy I scoffed all through DD's pregnancy!

and thanks for posting on the duchesses thread

That supersizers was good mhc...brought back loads of memories for me, but don't they both eat like pigs!
