DD slept until 2:30 today and is still flipping grumpy!

She has realised she can climb onto the windowsill via the sofa as well......although she only managed the sofa once and is now stuck on the floor and getting very angry.

no idea on the monsoon sale holly, sorry. There were a few things reduced when I was on there yesterday, but not much. I think most sales start at the end of June don't they?

I quite often go out to hang the washing out daisy and turn around to find ds stood on the living room windowsill grinning at me! He is a little bugger!!

I hope the bits I want are reduced in Monsoon. I have chosen a few things for a wedding in August as all my dressy dresses are a size 10 or 12! Maybe I shouldn't be so sodding fat!!

I can't stop checking my emails to see if any of the testers have been chosen yet. I even keep looking on the M&B forum to see if anyone on there has heard anything either...it is a trying experience! The spelling and grammer and liberal use of the words "hunni" and "(((huggggs))" make me fall off my chair and roll around the floor in a foetal position screaming "MY EYES, MY EYES"!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 19/06/2008 16:10

Afternoon all. Had a good day out with the jamlet, see you've all been chatty.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAGGINS!!!

I went to the GP this morning, to get her to check if there was a reason why with DH still hurt. Seems I have a bit of internal scarring from the stitches And the answer apparently is to grin and bear it, as the more we do, the more the scarring should break down. That's the theory anyway. But the good news is she wrote prescriptions for everything I use while I can still get them free

We then walked 4.5 miles up to my work because I'd left my sponsor form there and I wanted to take it to baby group this afternoon, then got the bus back to babygroup and had a good time there, though the jamlet did poke one little girl in the face twice and make her cry and pull a little boy's hair and make him cry too But it was a good plan to take the sponsor form in as I got loads of people to sign in

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 19/06/2008 16:13

Did you notice my unsubtle mention of the fact that I'm looking for sponsorship there??

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 19/06/2008 16:15

lackaDAISYcal · 19/06/2008 16:18

I've sponsored you already Jammy

I'm sure DH is pleased at the fact that you need to do it more Jammy......no consolation for you though. I'd suggest ooodles of KY Jelly if that's not too personal.

We are rich ...albeit very temporarily . the sale of DHs old house completed yesterday and the money is in the bank....Unfortunately most of it is spoken for paying off debts and us living on it for the next couple of years

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 19/06/2008 16:20

Quick daisy, buy a pushchair and some new shoes [grin}!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 19/06/2008 16:21

Yes, thanks Daisy - I meant to say that earlier, very remiss of me.

DH does indeed seem pleased

Good news about the house sale. Shame it's spoken for though.

lackaDAISYcal · 19/06/2008 16:23

unfortunately it's all in DHs account so I have no fecking access to it, or I would! He is meant to be home tonight, but he did mention something about the airport

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 19/06/2008 16:41

Shame daisy! Make sure he buys you something pretty!

Can anyone explain to me why the manufacturers of ice cream cones would put artificial sweetners in them? I just went to the kitchen to get ds a breadstick to keep him going until dinner and we have run out (need to go shopping badly) and the only thing I could find to give him was an ice cream cone. I gave it to him and them looked on the pack at the ingredients. I am now ! Why would you do it? WHY? What do you fill ice cream cones with? Ice bloody cream! What is ice cream full of? Sugar! What is the point? Why could they not have just put good old sugar in? It makes me cross! I hate artificial sweetners, work of the devil!

lackaDAISYcal · 19/06/2008 16:55

no words of wisdom to that holly...but totally agree on artificial sweeteners. aspartamine makes DS go loopy!

When we can we expect the "you've got pushchairs/highchairs/car seats email from Jessica? I'm getting impatient and I neeeeeeeeeeed to know

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 19/06/2008 17:22

I can't remember from last year daisy. I'm sure it was a couple of days between me applying and her emailing me back. I shall let you know if I hear anything. I've got my fingers, toes, arms and legs crossed!

I'm going to have an ice cream now, seeing as the dcs can't have the cones anymore! Damn !

Thanks MHC

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 19/06/2008 17:50

I am indeed an alpha mummy (not)!

How are the chickens?

I'm bored. Dp is playing golf and the dcs are destroying stuff playing upstairs. There is so much housework to be done that I just done know where to start. Maybe I'll just sit here and close my eyes!

I fucking hate that cow and gate advert with the laughing babies, it should be banned. What a crock of shit!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 19/06/2008 18:18

Good luck with the essay MHC!

lackaDAISYcal · 19/06/2008 18:42

Thanks for the support mhc, but I think least said soonest mended on that other thread.

holly, you need to do the double dash around each word. I'm crossing everything I can as well. Will she have say, two or three different testers doing say double buggies or carseats?....aaargh give over woman, it's in the hands of the gods now!

DD has a streaming cold and mine is stepping up a gear; I feel rubbish and my throat is all scratchy. I wish DH would hurry up and get home.

IIRC last year there was about 6 testers in each catagory, testing 4-5 products each. I was doing travel systems with 6 other people. I got 4 travel systems to test, some people got different ones to me, some got the same. It was all divided up. I think each product gets tested by 2-3 people and as they have to pass it to 5 made up friends that makes 10-15 people testing each product. Which is why it takes her so long to divide up who tests what. There are 25-30 catagories, so that is 150 odd testers (probably more for the smaller things like nappies) that she has to choose. I really don't fancy her job!!
