LOL Daisy - I swear I've never even tasted the stuff. Now Mad Dog 20/20 tis another story.

Hi Izzy - that's a lot of teeth. My DD has just 2, they appeared 3 months ago & since then nothing.

lackaDAISYcal · 14/06/2008 22:28

hi izzy

you are getting the teething over in one hit arent' you?

tallulah...bucky is quite nice actually. My gran used to drink it (as a tonic rather than she was a wee stained wino ) and we used to sneak sips when I was about 15/16.....I'm sure if I tasted it now I'd think differently though.

am off to bed......DS really excited about Father's Day so will no doubt be up at the crack of dawn...and I've agreed to let DH lie in as long as he likes

It's really strange. They just seem to appear all of a sudden. She hasn't really been bothered with any of them either, except for the top back ones that came through in blood blisters. Those she was really upset with, but only for a day. No trouble with any of the others [touches wood].

Happy Birthday Baby Sputnik!!!

We have just walked 7.75 miles It was part of DH's present a long lie in while we went out. Then we're taking him to Starbucks when we are out this afternoon.

LittleMissNorty · 15/06/2008 11:25

Happy birthday to Baby Sputnik

Daddy had a lie-in this morning and tea in bed with DD (whilst MS has kicked in here and I had head down the loo )

LittleMissNorty · 15/06/2008 11:29

Daisy you may be able to help here

Izzybel · 15/06/2008 16:54

Happy Birthday Baby Sputnik!
Hope all the dads have had good Fathers Days!
Sorry your morning sickness has kicked in Norty.
Been quiet on here today, but I guess you are probably all out doing things for Fathers day .
We have been to Camelot today. It has been really good. DD came on some of the rides, which made me nervous, but she loved it!

Seansgirlthesequel · 15/06/2008 19:17

Happy Birthday Baby Sputnik, hope the weather is warmer over in Italy than here!

Thank you all so much for you birthday wishes, he had (and we did - DH, me, and DD) all had a fab day with loads of family in our garden for bbq, it was a trifle busy and chaotic but went well. Or in my case too well (had massive hangover this morning) oops!

Am very have missed other los birthday, but belated birthday wishes to all our beautiful los and hasn't the year flown by????!

On the teeth subject ds seems to be doing quite well on the teeth front he has eight, I thought he was behind as dd had eight earlier than 1 ! And news of the week he has started crawling and crusing all together on one day last week and as be has waited so long can already get quite a speed on! DD has already requested a stairgate on her bedroom to protect her sylvainian families, polly pocket etc etc....

Am very behind on all the news, so am going to fill in the blanks. But am very to say that I am unable to come to meet up , as on holiday on Mallorca (), am feeling like am missing out as have missed any meet ups, I am going to make every effort to come to the next.

lackaDAISYcal · 15/06/2008 19:58

Eveining all

Happy Birthday Baby Sputnik and I hope you had a lovely day.

Sounds like a good day SG . And LOL at DD wanting a stairgate for her room

Fairy, I hope DD wasn't too challenging for you at the tea party.

Tallulah I hope DD's party went well too.

DD took her first two steps today ......but we all missed it . She was in the sitting room with grandma and stepped from the chair to the window. DH, DS and I were in the garage with grandad looking at his latest toys he's made. I think grandma is very made up that she saw it first.

DH got his lie in this morning and I think he was very greatful for it. Then DS decided, as a special Father's Day treat, he would take him to see the new Meerkat enclosure at Tropical World . There were loads of butterflies today and they have new birds as well, and DD was fascinated by it all. She loved the Meerkats, who kept coming over to the barrier to see her, and she thought the nocturnal house was very funny.

I have got to the bottom of DDs recent bad skin outbreak. DH has been putting the liquid detergent in the fabric conditioner drawer of our new machine . so all our clothes have been washed in water and then rinsed in detergent.....nice. No wonder her nappy area is red raw . DH is suitably chastened.

Good evening

I too am very for missing birthdays.

So a belated birthday to all I have missed and a happy birthday for today to little sputnik .

T'has beed a busy week with the little fella noe walking we went and got him his first pair of shoes yesterday - which was a quest for the holy grail (sp?) as he seems to have the worlds wides feet which most shops around here didn't have in stock!!

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend and are not too worn out after running about after dh / dp's?
My dh just asked me to go fetch him a drink as it is still fathers day - to which my reply was 'your not my friggin father and your son is in bed now so the games over - get your own' cos I'm a miserable cow

lackaDAISYcal · 15/06/2008 20:03

hey DKMA....loving your style re DH

Mine actually did tea tonight and is now doing the washing up.....being pregnant is a great excuse for wriggling out fo things

Did you get some shoes in the end? Great news on him walking

OP posts:
DKMA · 15/06/2008 20:04

No I do not speak with a Northern Irish accent - so that should have said 'now walking' not 'noe walking'

DKMA · 15/06/2008 20:06

Hi Daisy - yes we did manage to find some - in the 3rd shop we went to! Very cute but it looks like he's trying to walk with lead boots on! I suppose he'll get used to them? He'll only be wearing them when he plays outside or is going to the pub etc

lackaDAISYcal · 15/06/2008 20:07

OMG...on Eastenders Dawn is going to put fake tan on Summer

I'm a bit confused with her birthday though, as I'm pretty sure she had already had her baby before I had DD

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/06/2008 20:08

Evening all

LOL at stairgate request SG, and oh dear about the washing Daisy.

DH enjoyed his lie in too. And this afternoon we went shopping and I got us take out frappucino drinks from Starbucks which we took to the park and drank while we pushed the jamlet on the swings. She had given him a Starbucks card for Xmas and it only had 65p left on it, which he gave me to use up when paying for the drinks, so I reloaded it for him as a father's day gift from the Jamlet He was suitably impressed.

Now that she's got the hang of bum shuffling, there's no stopping her by the way! She was all over the living room this evening, trying to play with the DVD player, pulling all the books off her bookcase, chasing toys around the room, putting her birthday cards into the bin ... And no, I'm not sorry she's moving and getting into mischief - I loved it! She looked so happy that she could really get about where she wanted, and the look of mischief on her face every time she decided to make another beeline for the DVD player

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/06/2008 20:13

at your response to DH, DKMA!

Our shopping this afternoon was spending the jam;et's birthday money: we bought her this and these. Can't get her to wear the glasses though. Our main aim for them is to try to protect her eyes from pollen, as she's suffering with hayfever. But they also look cool (If she'll keep them on for more than a nano-second)

lackaDAISYcal · 15/06/2008 20:17

Aw jammy.....that's sweet (your thoughts on DDs mobility rather than reloading DHs Starbuck's card )

Soon you'll have to wipe her prints off the TV every evening before you sit down to watch

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 15/06/2008 20:17

I can hear DH snoring instead of watching the fecking football....its loud enough (tele and the snoring)

We've been discussing decorating today...OMG, we've got to do our bedroom, then do spare room which will become DD's room and then current nursery will be for new LO...then dining room needs doing.

Got to get fitted wardrobes, all furniture for DDs room, new carpets in both bedrooms.....arrggghhh....all before Xmas and while I'm still able to help.....don't know where to start!!

Hope all the parties went well

LittleMissNorty · 15/06/2008 20:18

Great news about the shuffling Jammy and steps Daisy . Coincidentally, my Dd took her first steps today as well....but with her walker, and she was soon on her arse
