We just rang him to say Good Luck etc and all the dc said "love you grandad" and it choked me up a bit ...

PillockOfTheCommunity · 03/06/2008 22:16

Eddas
J is going to stay with Justin for the Saturday night so I can come down on my own. (M will go from his dad's to my dad and spend the rest of the weekend there) so you're on

(can I admit now that I'm quite scared )

Can you recommend somewhere cheap near you and/or town to stay?

and, ahem, I hope I still get a party bag even though I'll have no children with me

elkiedee · 03/06/2008 22:49

NL, sorry about the job but glad that you're not too down about it.

Caz, hope your dad's op goes well.

D finally had the jabs he should have had about a month ago today, next ones due in about 4 weeks time. We had an awful time getting him to bed but I don't think it was about the jabs as such, he wailed at the time but not for very long. I think he's missing his usual trip to the park when we get him from the CM, due to horrible weather - it gives him a chance to bounce around.

The tiredness and waves of nausea, though I've still to be sick (expect it will come), are really setting in now.

elkiedee · 03/06/2008 23:28

A small piece of good news, that fraudulent transaction has been recredited to my bank account.

Eddas · 04/06/2008 07:51

good news about the paypal thing elkie. I had nausea with both my pgs but was only ever sick after brushing my teeth it was the toothpaste it tasted like anaseed(sp?) instead of mint, nice. Hope it passes for you soon

potc, hope your not scared of me you can have the party bag but i will warn you it's cd's plant idea so not very exciting you can take it home for M

my 2nd night in the new bed was lovely too shame about dd waking up at 6, but dh went downstairs and put on a dvd so she didn't wake me again til just gone 7. DD got into ds' cot again this am, it's very cute but i can just imagine it tipping over when she get's in and hurting them both. Not long and he'll be in a bed anyway probably

Bramshott · 04/06/2008 12:58

Sorry, I never did come back yesterday!

Dippy - thank you so much for sending the mascara. It's here, and it's fab!

Grandpa Howard's funeral was on Friday and it was a difficult day. He had planned it out how he wanted it and the service at his church after the crematorium was very moving. My brother had to read a reading called "Death is Nothing at All" and he found it really really hard. Anyway, we got through it. Granny is being amazing - strong, cheerful, busy etc, but it must be so difficult. I know Grandpa was over 80, but now every time I hear of or see 90 year olds I feel jealous!

Good news today as my brother, who has just been doing his finals, has got a really good job from September - singing at St George's Chapel Windsor, so will be living in Windsor Castle! Everyone is really pleased for him especially as he's had a really rough time with the stress of exams and Grandpa's death in the same week.

Sorry - very self-absorbed! Will try to get back into the swim of things . . .

mammyjo · 04/06/2008 14:12

Caz, have you heard anything yet? Thinking of you xxx

Bramshott, glad things went as well as could be expected last week

Won't be here for a couple of days as I am going to work tomorrow and Friday Really do not want to go as I am dreading my boss, apparently she has been vile again this week and generally having a go at everyone. I am not paid enough for that kind of crap!
Anyway, see you all at the weekend probably xx

elkiedee · 04/06/2008 14:46

Bramshott, glad funeral went ok. However old someone lives to be, it's not going to seem long enough if you love them.

AngeG · 04/06/2008 16:56

Hello all

Bramshott - Glad funeral went ok. Fantastic news about your brother.

MJ - Hope work isn't as bad as you think. Thinking of you.

Caz - Any news of dad? Benn thinking of you.

Elkie - Glad you got the paypal money back. How are you feeling? Did you have bad morning sickness with D? I'm sure you've already said and I've missed it.

Maveta -How is N now? Hope he's getting over the pox.

Dooby - Great about M hips

Dippy - Sorry about the car Have you made an appointment with GP?

Luce - Sorry about your problems with DD and school. Hope you managed to sort them out.

Eddas - about new bed!

That's it can't remember anything else. Hello to anyone I've missed.

Izzy had her MMR set of jabs on Monday. She was very good and didn't cry for long. One leg is very sore still with a lump around the site. She won't let me touch it Otherwise ok with them though.

Lots of love to you all xxx

cazboldy · 04/06/2008 17:01

back from school......

Dad had op and is all ok

They gave him an epidural instead of knocking him out.

Should be home Friday evening, and I will go and see him tomorrow.

Thanks for all your thoughts!

AngeG · 04/06/2008 17:04
