SPB - I told you - you don't need to wait for AF get on with it!!!

Eddas i want a new bed well actually a new mattress!

Hi to Luce, POTC, Bramshott, Ange, MJ and anyone I have missed!

Horrid day yesterday!

Was on the school run yesterday afternoon, and ds3 suddenly came over all funny. He was trembling, and a bit vacant, and breathing very oddly....it reminded me of when ds2 had his febrile convulsion

I started to panic a bit, and took him straight off to the doctors. She checked him all over, and luckily I had some calpol in my bag, so we dosed him up and sat with him in the doctors for half an hour or so, and she gave him a thorough check over for rashes etc. He also wet himself and didn't seem to notice

After a bit, he seemed a bit more lucid, and she said his chest had sounded a bit rattly, and that what concerned her was how quickly he had gotten ill...

She said to take him home and give him some nurofen aswell, and that if that didn't bring his fever down, or if I thought that he wasn't significantly better today, to take him back....

At tea time he ate all of his tea and was completely ok but then the medicine started to wear off, and he went back to how he had been before....

dosed him up again, and he had a good night's sleep, and does seem a bit better today

Doctor rang up to see how he is and said to take him back if I was at all worried, but atm I don't think there is anything much else they could do, and he seems ok, bless him

Really can't praise that doctor enough, she was lovely!

1st load is in the new washing machine

Sorry for the mega long post!

CaptainDippy · 03/06/2008 11:04

NorthernLurker · 03/06/2008 19:15

Hi all

well what a day I've had! I'll bore you all with it in a mo but the main thing I suppose is that I din't get the job. Interview was ok, some bits I felt I handled really well actually. In the feedback i got later this afternoon I basically got the sense that they were looking for somebody with more baseline knowledge of that area than they actually asked for in the spec. Anyway - I've realised that I totally don't care. The best thing about the job was the money and I don't really feel disappointed at all tbh - which is quite an odd feeling I'll put it down to the power of prayer!

The rest of day has been very tough though. It rained like you wouldn't believe here, we all got soaked on the way out this am and nursery had to totally change B's clothes. When we got to school and went to lock the girls bikes up I realised that I'd locked my keys in the garage! So I was late to work as I had to go buy a new lock for my bike as wey. My day was a mass of complicated, fiddly difficult issues to deal with and then I got wet on the way home. Oh and I've got my third period in a month (sorry if TMI)
On the plus side though dh is much better and I don't have to think about any of this anymore tonight. I'm going to go and see the SATC film on thursday and there's B's birthday party to look forward to on Saturday.

Thanks so for much for all the good wishes - it really made a difference for me.

Caz - sounds like a great GP - hope poor little ds3 continues to perk up
Dippy - did you get hold of your docs?
Eddas - really glad you are feeling a bit better

Hi to everyone else - apologies for boring you with such a self centred post!

CaptainDippy · 03/06/2008 19:49

not bored NL Glad you are feeling "at peace" about the job situ. xx RELAX now! Glad DH is feeling better too

I didn't get to docs as had nightmare of a pm. Car broke down Clutch completely gone Bonus is that I broke down outside the fire station so 4 burly firemen had to come out and push my car

NorthernLurker · 03/06/2008 20:01

Oh no Dippy - that's bad! I mean obviously the sight of four firemen pushing your car is always one to trasure but still. Oh dear. Can you get it fixed?

Some good news - it's stopped raining here at last!

Eddas · 03/06/2008 20:11

cd, sounds like me last wed except i didn't get the firemen will it cost much to fix[blonde emoticon]

nl, arse to getting soaked, glad you're upbeat about the job interview. Are you going to keep looking?

Eddas · 03/06/2008 20:22

BTW, dd is having a party on Sat 14th June if any of you fancy a trip to maidstone. they'll be party food and a party bag

PillockOfTheCommunity · 03/06/2008 20:27

What time is it Eddas? You know me, I'll go anywhere for party food

Eddas · 03/06/2008 20:36

lol it's 1.30-3.30

StealthPolarBear · 03/06/2008 20:38

hi everyome
NL, sorry about the ob, glad it went fairly well and you're feeling positive

OP posts:
PillockOfTheCommunity · 03/06/2008 20:39

It might just be do-able
If you want me to?

Eddas · 03/06/2008 20:47

that'd be lovely, i did think of you as i posted about it and maybe cd

Eddas · 03/06/2008 20:48

hi spb how are you? how's t?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 03/06/2008 20:51

Hi SPB how's that washing pile?

So, Eddas, do you think that if I arrange to just have J, or even better, neither of them, and book a room somewhere, you could convince dh to let you, me and possibly eandh out on the town???

NorthernLurker · 03/06/2008 20:55

Thanks Eddas - yes I will keep looking - i'm really keen to move tbh and I think that even with that being the case, the fact that I'm not fussed about not getting this one is a very strong sign that it wasn't the job for me!
