Had a bit of a scare with D this evening, temperature, off his food, very unhappy. He didn't seem well this morning but then perked up considerably, and just before I left he tried to get into CM's washing machine. Then met him and dp in park, he didn't seem to want to play so took him home, he had a bit of a nap and woke up wailing again. We rang a friend in a panic who advised undressing him down to his vest, got her son to bring round a fan, and I got him some milk. I was much reassured when D not only swallowed his milk but sat up and stole peas off dp's plate, ate some of the food in his own bowl, and then crawled off to play with his toys. It's such a relief when our normal lively baby reappears - and though he cried again, I can tell the difference between not having his own way tantrums and real distress.

As I currently feel cold and shivery when it's not cold at all, quite a lot of the time, seems to be a pregnancy thing with me, dp is going to have to look out for when D may be overheated and overdressed.

elkie - did he have his mmr recently? That often throws them out. Sponging with a luke warm wet cloth works very well for temperatues and yes it is a relief to get the happy baby back isn't it?
