Morning dippy and anyone ELSE AROUND

Very quiet on here lately

Have tidied boy's bedroom. Need to hoover stairs and upstairs but can't really as J is upstairs sleeping. Came round this morning after work and filled up my car with petrol before it all got too busy!

Need to go into town really and do D's passport but just want to sit and do nothing! Have run out of steam now after several weeks of non stop cleaning, painting and running round after 4 3 children! Could really do with just one child free day or even half day when i could do what I want and not be constantly hassled and having to do a million things at once

Sorry for rant but needed to moan to someone! Have missed you all!!

CaptainDippy · 12/06/2008 11:31

We've missed you too!

Doobydoo · 12/06/2008 12:40

Hi All.Hope tha day is going well.Taking ds1 to taekwondo grading at 3pm.Dp usually takes him as it can go on for yonks. Will take M to park, hope it dosen't rain.
M had 2 totally monstrous poos this morning!Infact I was actually frightened of the 2nd one
Hope all are well

CaptainDippy · 12/06/2008 16:00

LOL Dooby Off to Dysoning and then collect girlies .......

NorthernLurker · 12/06/2008 16:24

Hi all

Sorry to have been a bit absent. Like us all i'm just very busy with 'stuff' - work and the gilrs and the house and what was the other thing?

Oh yes - the husband

B is totally doing my head in today. All she wants to do is scream at me Dd1 is having a crisis of confidence about everything and I've had a pretty miserable day at work. I know you've all heard this ad nauseum but I am desperate to get out! Nothing has come up on the NHS web this week or in the papers so I'm off to do a bit of web rummaging now!

Sorry to be so blooming miserable as well but I feel a bit down about it all. Feel like a rubbish mother and that B is shouting at me because I've left her all day for a job I don't like anymore.

Hope everybody else is ok and the pregnant ladies are blooming

Bramshott · 12/06/2008 16:34

Dippy - I'm sure we can work something out on the 28th. It may be that I pop into Lewes in the morning, and then we could meet at the beach (either in Eastbourne or elsewhere) either for lunch or just after lunch?

O is vomitting at the moment. Mostly eating biscuits and drinking water. Should I be encouraging her to drink milk or avoiding it?

CaptainDippy · 12/06/2008 16:47

Not a bad mummy. I'm sure there's plenty of reason why B is being so screamy - probably just being a one year old (teeth, frustration etc etc etc) You need to get out of that job asap if it is making you feel so low. xxxx Easier said than done, I know. xxxx

Bramshott - sounds good - I think there's something going on in Eastbourne on the 28th, but need to get my diary to figure out what - perhaps we could go to that for some fun!!!?

CaptainDippy · 12/06/2008 16:49

Ah, yes, have remembered - there's NCT antenatal going on that day (I'm not involved in that, I just booked it! ) A wee trip to the seadie may be in order then What time do you think you would be leaving? (Not trying to get rid of you, just planning my day )??

CaptainDippy · 12/06/2008 16:50

seaside

NorthernLurker · 12/06/2008 17:01

Some of the time work is fine but today I had patronising meeting with my 'new' line manager and then many grumbles etc from all my staff. I fix one thing and something else goes wrong. I never get a chance to think beyond the immediate situation in front of us and develop any sort of strategy and I am interrupted constantly. Then I come home and do exactly the same I can't afford to keep B in nursery unless I'm at work and i can't face packing it in, getting another job and having to start her at nursery again so I'll just carry on. I don't want to be a sahm, I do want to work - just less than I'm doing now and in a better job!

Am very of the seaside as well!

NorthernLurker · 12/06/2008 17:03

Sorry - should have said - thanks dippy - i know it's not me really ( i hope) - just felt that way.

Sexonlegs · 12/06/2008 19:31

Evening

NL, really sorry you are having a rough time atm. Definitely sounds like a new job is needed. Good luck with the hunting.

Pisha, sounds like you have been manic. Good to see your laptop is behaving itself!

Bramshott, hope O is better soon. When K was vomiting, we just gave her water. Once she had stopped being sick she was on the old pasta, potato's etc and milk.

Hi Dippy!

All ok here. Absolutely exhausted though and have the worst headache which is making me dizzy. Thankfully B and K have been great this evening.

Hope everyone is ok. xx

evening

NorthernLurker · 12/06/2008 19:58

Hi Oooggs

I'm waiting on a pizza being delivered (with ice cream) Dh is out tonight at a meeting so I'm ordering in. Me - comfort eat? Never!

oooggs · 12/06/2008 20:12

ohhhhhhh I could just eat that

NorthernLurker · 12/06/2008 20:20

Definately not Oooggs sorry!

Shame to disappoint but the ice cream is alongside the pizza - or it will be when it gets here!

Doobydoo · 12/06/2008 20:39

Hi All.Read posts and all I wanted to say has flown out of my head
Hope you find a decent job NL
bRAMSHOTT i WOULD STICK WITH WATER ETC TOO.For a bit.
OOGGGS hope yuo doing ok.
Thats it.Sorry.
Am off to badger ds1 to get ready for bed.He has been home edded for a couple o years and is going to get a shock in Sept when he stars school.and has to be up and go to bed at a decent timeI have already said i am not nagging him to do his homework etc and if he dosen,t get it done by a reasonable time that is his prob.I may sound harsh but i just don't want to get in the habit of nagging re homework etc.
I think he may be the type of child that runs away from the circus to become an accountant

Bramshott · 12/06/2008 20:43

Thanks for the advice. I went for water, 2 plain baby biscuits and 1/4 of a banana. That went in at 6.00 and hasn't come back yet [fingers crossed emoticon]. Glad I didn't try the milk.

Dippy - We'll fit in with you, just tell me what suits you. You said you had to be somewhere else at 3.00 didn't you? I suppose we could also do it the other way round - beach with you in the morning and then lunch in Lewes (depending on whether these friends want the delight of my two for lunch!)

Sexonlegs · 12/06/2008 21:02

I think we are ready for our holiday. Finally got everything in bags and sorted out route planner etc. Been doing a passable impression of a headless chicken all week.

Have had a tough couple of days with the little man. Clingy, whingy and not sleeping much. He got 3 teeth in the last 4 days, the most recent being his first back tooth. The bad news is I can feel 3 more under the surface of the gum. Thank goodness I'm still bf, it's the only thing that seems to comfort him.

Not looking forward to drive to Portsmouth tomorrow. DH in his wisdom decided we didn't need an extra day off, so we're leaving Manchester at 5pm on a Friday. I'm doing the first bit of sitting in traffic driving.I fully intend to do bugger all try and relax once we get to France

Hope you all have a good week while I'm away. If you could all do a reverse rain dance for me I'd appreciate it

Hi Dooby & Oooggs.

Hectic day for us today. I was out at the Bon Jovi concert last night Didn't get in until 1am. Izzy was up at 6.30am
Had to get J to pre-school for his leavers photo at 10am then to different pre-school for 12noon, then pick him up at 1.45 to be at the hospital at 2.40pm for a check up on J's ears. Dropped J at mum & dads after that and now home.

Relaxing with a malibu and lemonade now

Off to bed soon.
