Where is everyone???

Morning!

Weather a bit cloudy here today, but a bit of a relief from the mega heat we have had since the weekend. K and B were both awake in the night and I am sure it was probably due to the heat. Plus there was a fly in B's room.

Just back from Jo Jingles and K sparko in the car whilst I am a
obv v busy with housework She has her MMR this afternoon and I feel v nervous about it.

What's everyone up to?

StealthPolarBear · 11/06/2008 11:21

Just popping in say hello Was in London training all day yesterday and babysitting for friends yesterday evening (mad) so no time to catch up - what's the latest!!?

I the usual - tired over-worked, under-paid etc etc

Sexonlegs · 11/06/2008 11:34

Hi SPB, I don't know why I am worried tbh as she has been fine with the others. B was also fine with all the others. I just feel uneasy. I think it is because she just seems so small still. She is pretty petite.

CaptainDippy · 11/06/2008 12:34

She'll be fine sweetie xx Gotta buzz and get my oldest from pre-school ......

elkiedee · 11/06/2008 13:44

SOL, I'm sure K will be fine, I get so nervous taking D for his jabs and last time we ended up taking him 3 times (he had a temperature and I got the date wrong the first 2 times!) - MMR due at start of July (late because 12 month set was done at 13 months).

cazboldy · 11/06/2008 18:19

Hello all

I am exhausted!

last night ds1 had a cricket match. arrived home via my dad at about 8.45, and burst into tears. He had been hit on the ankle bone by a cricket ball and was in quite a lot of pain Stuck it on a chair with some frozen veg in a towel while dh went to look round at the farm, but by the time he got back had decided it warranted a trip to a&e!

Arrived at the hospital at 10.15 pm, left at 1.25 am...... got into bed at 2 am and up again at 5.45 to get them all up and ready as I have been on a trip with ds2 and his class today........

other than the bus ride this is honestly the first time I have sat down all day!!

Going back to ds1's ankle, he had it x-rayed, and they were a little concerned about his circulation as his foot went purple, but decided it was just severe bruising, and he has got to keep off it as much as possible for a few days - so could have been worse...........

CaptainDippy · 11/06/2008 19:34

Goodness Caz - what a day!! Glad DS' ankle isn't worse, poor love. xx

PillockOfTheCommunity · 11/06/2008 19:38

StealthPolarBear · 11/06/2008 20:03

StealthPolarBear · 11/06/2008 20:08

I know it's silly but I've just been worried as everyne else's baby seems to have been doing this for months
How are you CD? Feeling any better? Did you ever get a GP appointment?

Doobydoo · 11/06/2008 20:08

Too fed up to post. Will only whinge.
Great about T SPB

CaptainDippy · 11/06/2008 20:21

Nope, still not gone to GP - just soooo manic, I know I should. Don't be worried about T SPB - every baby does things at their own pae - my DD1 was the slowest of the slow, trust me - She didn't walk til she was 2, didn't talk til she was 3 - didn't get any teeth til she was 2 either, bless her. She is "all there" for a 4.5 yr old now though

StealthPolarBear · 11/06/2008 20:31

what's up Dooby?
I know CD - it's fine on MN but I mean in RL, it's hard when all his little friends seem way ahead of him. Still, they can't wee in the air (all girls)

Evening

Caz, what a day and a half! Poor ds. Hope he is ok. Sport is just so bad for you !!

Dooby, not like you to be down. Hope you are ok. xx

SPB, ikwym re comparing other babies with K. As CD says, they all develop at such different rates.

POTC, lovely to see you. You haven't been on for an age have you. Must look at the facebook pics.

Hi to everyone else.

The jabs were ok. K cried loads
She has been whingy all day - even before the jabs. I can only assume it is teeth. Couldn't wait to get out of the house this evening for my body sculpt class. Now drinking red wine and eating pringles [naughty]!

oooggs · 11/06/2008 21:36

I feel terrible, so sick 24/7

no katy - dh was working last night, it didn't gt much better and ended up with Erin in with me and in her sleep she nearly fell off our bed

worked out today it is top two back teeth - bless her

he is home this evening and bedtime was a lot less stressful but back to on my own tomorrow

weather fantastic

hope everyone is well

caz - poor ds1

elkiedee · 11/06/2008 23:31

Don't worry SPB.

I was very cross with the complete stranger in the playground the other night who expressed shock that D wasn't walking at a whole 13 months. Grrr. I don't think we have long to wait now though anyway but honestly, how rude! I'm sure they'll all get there.

I was sick for the first time this morning, mixed feelings - it's not nice and I'm not looking forward to that part of being pg but at least I know my body's reacting the way it did last time - not every day but I felt sick sooner and occasionally was from 10 weeks on last time. I hope I can still get icepops in December, I'm going to look weird aren't I?

Goodnight to everyone who had a sensibly early night (dp was working late and finally got home to get D to settle to sleep just after 10)

CaptainDippy · 11/06/2008 23:34

You could make you own Elkie

Just had Chinese and DVD with DH, off to bed now, night all. xx

Pisha · 12/06/2008 00:00

at the chinese dippy!!

Laptop seems to be behaving itself so far tonight so posting while i can!

D still not walking either and tbh I'm getting bored waiting! Problem is he wants to be everywhere doing all the things that the older dc do and wants to get out pushchair when we're out and it'd all be so much easier and less frustrating for him if he could walk. Don't think its going to be too long but hes still not quite there.

Haven't heard anything about when D's mmr is but then Nathan still not had his pre school jabs so I shouldn't be surprised!

Nathan cracked me up earlier. We were doing his reading words and he had 'pest', he sounded it out and said 'pest! Like 'pissed pest off'!'

I'm sure theres loads more I wanted to say to you ll but tired now after drunken late night last night so need to go to bed!

Mwah x x

CaptainDippy · 12/06/2008 09:44

Phoebe's a bit like that, Pisha .... desperat to be off nad out and waddling along after her big sisters. She got absolutely filthy crawling round the park yesterday, bless her. Not sure she'll be walking anytime soon though

Morning all!
