Just gone up to check DD and she is wide awake probably woken up by her big brother so I have fed her and she took 5 ozs in 5 mins flat!! DS now asleep.

Sorry to hear you have had a pants few hrs. Sounds like DP was tired if he had been working nights.

LuckySalem · 02/07/2008 20:38

I really like this but don't think i'll be bothered to style it

this is good too

Hope these two work

LuckySalem · 02/07/2008 20:39

Ignore that last one it didn't pick the specific ones I meant.

LuckySalem · 02/07/2008 20:40

here you go this is the one I wont be bothered to style

simpson · 02/07/2008 20:41

Lucky - I like the first one with "what do you think" link.

LuckySalem · 02/07/2008 20:42

I'm having trouble deciding! lol

PLus i'm really worried that having it cut short will make my face look HUGE!! Also I don't want a cut that's too old cos "yes I'm a mummy, but i'm only 24!!"

lilyloo · 02/07/2008 20:42

Lucky think the 2nd one would be the easiest to maintain daily but not the colour ? too dark for you.
Do you mean the shoulder length one for last link it might just look like a shorter version of what you have and shoulder length not good really as hair always flicks out !

OP posts:
simpson · 02/07/2008 20:42

Oh no now I have changed mind like your latest one - Lucky.

LuckySalem · 02/07/2008 20:43

Cheers - I am leaning more towards either the first or second one. Lilly I was thinking more of blonde with highlights in not red. However, last time I went and had highlights done they put copper in too and it went really well so may go with that if they suggest it.

lilyloo · 02/07/2008 20:44

I also like the won't be bothered to style like the colour too!
You could do that quite easily with hair straighteners but maybe a longer sweeping fringe so you can tie it back on a bad day

OP posts:
LuckySalem · 02/07/2008 20:45

Simpson - That's my fave but I won't style it and I know it'll just look like a mop on my head. I don't know how to style hair or do make-up. LOL (i'm so not a girl... lmao)

LuckySalem · 02/07/2008 20:46

Ohhh, I didn't think of that!! that's a cheating way of getting the one I want!! Mwah haha!! I'm gonna have to dig out my straighteners now (if I can find them)

LuckySalem · 02/07/2008 20:47

Lilly & Simpson - Don't think I'm not being nice but Im gonna start a thread for a majority opinion (is that ok?)

lilyloo · 02/07/2008 20:48

I think the first may be too short and choppy so will need styling every day where as thew others you could get away with !

I do think a few variations of blonde and red would suit you. Do you have foils ?

OP posts:
LuckySalem · 02/07/2008 20:49

yeh normally just foils. I don't have "full head" IYKWIM

lilyloo · 02/07/2008 20:49

No that's fine better get majority vote

OP posts:
lilyloo · 02/07/2008 20:49

You could have low and highlights then !

OP posts:
simpson · 02/07/2008 20:51

Lucky - the more opinions you get the better!! Let me know which style you go for.

lilyloo · 02/07/2008 20:52

Lucky mine is pretty similair to won't be bothered but longer fringe so i can tie it back.
It's easy to do with straighteners but has less body.
Mine is shoulder length and it is a nightmare as flicks out so go shorter like that length actaully!

OP posts:
LuckySalem · 02/07/2008 20:56

Right I've started my thread - Most of my opinion will rest on you 2 though. I just want to make sure i'm not commiting suicide and paying for it too

Thanks everyone and i'll post a pic (or a link to it cos MN won't let me post pics )

LuckySalem · 02/07/2008 20:57

Oh forgot to say my apt is at 11am tomorrow. [crossed fingers]]

simpson · 02/07/2008 22:33

Lucky - good luck tomorrow. We are going to hire out saw4 in the next couple of days. Will let you know what i think!!

AngeChica · 03/07/2008 08:21

Mornig all.

Well I actually went out last night to a bar in Newcastle. Was driving though so didn't get tipsy. I felt like a frumpy lump though.

Friends who moved abroad are visiting this week, not staying with us but have lots on with them.

DS has spent the last week blowing raspberries non stop. It's cute but produces huge amounts of dribble, soaks through lots of bibs each day. Hopefully he'll learn something new to practise soon!

mixedmama · 03/07/2008 08:54

Mornign everyone,

Had a very productive day at work yesterday, not sure why... doesnt happen very often either.

Ont he food topic DH is picking up the boys today as I am going to go home and make the most of the afternoon, abit of a tidy up (altho fairly tidy for once after having to tidy for SIL baby shower at the weekend - which went very well and seem to have a much improved relationship going on). Plus I have a squash, some courgettes etc that I was planning to cook for DS2 otherwise poor thing is going to be eating porridge forever.

I dont have a blender though so am going to mash and mash and mash and hope for the best.

Lucky - I like all the choppy styles. I knwo your aprehension tho, I had a my hair cut a while back and I normally always have long layers and a wispy side fringe. My hair is really thick and I was contemplating a fringe and the hairdresser suggested some shorted layers to make it less heavy, she showed me a pic where the length was still there but it was "messy" so i wouldnt have to bother with it too much. So I decided to have a proper fringe a la Nelly Furtado - big mistake, she cut my hair soooooo short (for me) so my fridge looks awful and I look a little like Suzy Quatro.... but at least my hair grows fairly quickly.

madmouse · 03/07/2008 09:24

JKS how is your throat/voice?

sorry lucky, not much help on hair. Mine is long and in a ponytail (due to little hands) and I am keeping it that way.

simpson - forget it and move on, not the end of the world!

laughed so much last night like I haven't since before Nathan was born. He was sitting on dh's lap after dinner and he was a bit bored, so I gave him my empty diet coke can, as he loves the red and the shiny silver. Having just learned to bat his penguin toy he now bats everything else to see if it makes a sound (including me )so the can went off the table and he looked after it like 'ah, where did that go? Then we gave him two and he mowed them off the table, again looking after them, and on and on, it sounds silly but it was sooo funny. And it is lovely to see how quickly he picks things up. With his history I guess I am just a bit more watchful of his development.

tomorrow I am taking him to the osteopath. He does not use his right hand enough and we had assumed that this was stemming from his brain injury and on the advice of Nathan's consultant we have an appointment with the gp to ask for special physio, but my parents have just been and my stepmum thinks it could be related to his rotational forceps at birth. The osteopath will be ablle to see at the first meeting whether he can help. Here's hoping...
