A, filly
Can't believe George will be 6 months old tommorrow where did that all go?
Been a busy day today. I had my blood tests this morning to see if I have anemia plus they are testing for a couple of other things. Get results in about a week.
Boys have been very helpful today. My little ones are just loving having them here
Thats about it realy.
George has his last lot of jabs tomm. A bit late I know but he was poorly when he was supposed to have them so this is when they could fit him in.
Well take care all xx

Not sure if that was a vote from Susie for A or not!!

Obviously I'm in favour of A ....go on...I've been desperate to choose a title for months now...I normally submit my ideas then realise someone has already gotten around to setting up a new thread ....

Pera meant to say i also disagree with hv. It's one thing at a time ane the feeding first , then when that works you can sustitute rocking and so on . Small steps i say i only doing same but using dummy instead of feed!

2 for A
1 for D

Anymore ?

Hi all

Susie, well done to Sabela for the weight gain. She clearly prefers solids. I am starting nathan tomorrow.

Pera, I think you and not your hv has the right end of the stick. Being rocked is not worth getting up fo. But what is worth a try is pat and put down from the baby whisperer. You pat baby until calm, then put down, if crying pick up pat and put down etc. It works with nathan to the extend that sometimes patting him makes him go to sleep

We had quite a good night here, with no fever and no need for calpol. Nathan fed every three hours and then woke again at 7 which made me groan. He had icy feet as he was under blanket rather than in grobag so I put him on my chest under the duvet and he went back to sleep. My back started hurting so I put him between us and next thing I knew it was 8.45! Havent had so much sleep in ages. Nathan is grumpy today rhough, just not his happy self.

Well, Ladies, I was fretting about DD eating too much solids and not enough BM and this week she has put on 200g! I'm very pleased. Porridge etc full steam ahead!

Food GLorious Food!

Nights still easier. Esp putting her to bed. Sod the HV pera, go with your instinct. I'm going to try something similar a bit further down the line.

2/3 of a slicew Lucky! That's great.

Hello everyone,

Feeling a little bored today...wishing I was at work today ...got 2 months of maternity leave left to go still though....think my brain needs an exercise....

Anyone watching THIS MORNING at the moment. There is a section on Freebirthing coming up at 11:55am (no medical intervention, mw etc present at birth) - would love to see how the last done it??

Lilyloo - like D!

morning everyone

Blubell - I have also been diagnosed with PND - not the same symptoms as yours, mine is more that I get unbelievably irritable/angry about nothing and it's really affecting my relationship with DP. But we just have to remember that it is a recognised condition and it will pass, especially if you seek help, which it sounds like you're doing.

Susie/Lilyloo/other mums of non-sleepy babies! - We had a bit of a breakthrough here last night, in that I didn't feed DD during the night! Woo-hoo! Admittedly I was up from about 3.30 till 4.45, rocking madly, but she wasn't upset, just wouldn't settle if I put her back down. My HV said that this was pointless approach because I'm just substituting the breast for rocking, but I figure that if she goes a few nights without being fed, she might start to realise it's not worth waking up. I think it's worth a try anyway. I think it helped me to resign myself to the fact of not having enough sleep for a few days (so as not to give in and feed her) and because I was pretty sure she didn't need to be fed because she's never that hungry first thing in the morning.

LuckySalem - great to hear the BLW is going well. How many times a day are you offering food?

Report
lilyloo · 09/07/2008 10:36

Susie i agree i think day time sleeps are crucial in getting better sleep at night.
We just did one feed again last night and from her 2.30 feed she slept until 7

I think we will get there slowly but surely. Her naps were much better yesterday !

Susie i think they are just more efficient at feedding and obv don't need as much as they getting topped up with food. However i noticed that dropping couple of night feeds means huuuge boobies in the morning so shows how much she was getting even when they were only 2/3 min feeds!

Right ladies what title then ?

A "Food, glorious food...there's nothing quite like it!"

B 1 is crawling who's next?

C time for some proper dinner?

D 'where? did you put that brocoli?'

Quick poll please then i will do it unless anyone else wants

Gingeme - enjoy having all your boys staying!! Even if you have to fight for the PC!! My DD's routine very similar bed 6.30pmish feed 5 am down again till 8am. She has dropped the 5am feed a couple of times but don't think it will happen till she has solids.

Lucky - think I will take some jars, blender and feed her what we eat too. DD is a definate little madam DH went to put her down again tonight (final feed in room dimmed light etc) she was not having any of it, I go in & try and she has 6 ozs!! So who knows what she will be like when we try solids and going on hols 2 wks after weaning her.

Good evening ladies.
Sorry if I'm not around as much the next four weeks as I have my big boys staying for a bit and not only is it alot busier I don't get a word in edge ways as far as the pc is concerned
George is now sleeping from 7-5am then having a bottle, playing for a bit then sleeping till about 7.30. Hes eating loads now. A bit of puree a bit of real food too. He is also combat crawling properly now and sitting all on his own
I did wizz through the thread.
Can highly recomend Metanium cream for sore bums.
Still in size 3 nappies here.
Well take care all. Will try to pop in if I can tear my teens from the pc.
Take care all

Lucky - does DD prefer to feed herself or you to feed her jars? Just asking coz am on holiday soon don't know whether to go the jar route or see if what we are eating is suitable?

Bluebell - Sorry have not said "hi". Glad you are getting help and hope things improve. Ruby sounds lovely.
