Happy birthday Lucky!

Simpson - BB spitting incident was the worst thing I had ever seen was absolutely mortified for the guy spat at. Have not seen papers today but it is still on live at the moment.

What is it with DD today - mine has been a nightmare too. I am convinced it is the weather - in bed just in vest 2nite!

Having been up since 2 this morning with the worst toothache ever I was not in the mood for tears and tantrums! Dentist tomorrow - I hope he can sort it - I can't go through the pain any more. Sorry for moaning but not getting much symapathy at home from DH and DS1 but when it's the other way round I am supposed to be there for all the TLC!!!!!
DS2 is such a godsend, still smiling and gurgling no matter what is going on!

Right just going to watch BB and will give lowdown later Simpson.

Have a good evening!

I'm on the wine to numb the pain!

justkeepswimming · 29/06/2008 21:27

happy birthday lucky i guess birthdays do lose some of their magic as you get older...

simpson - enjoy your wine
i'm having some too...

orchestra concert went well last night - all my important/obvious bit were fine, so my mistakes don't matter
won a bottle of wine in the raffle, which has now gone, glug glug...

knackered as didn't get to bed till midnight, but ds2 having woken 4 times the night before (9, 10, 11 & 4.30), only woke once (3.30). law of sod i guess as i was hoping dh would have to do controlled crying for me whilst i was out!

he had some more rice cake today, plus some carrot. slept through tea tho.
got some asparagus to try tomorrow...

gingeme - glad ds3 had fun.

um, that'll do i think, wine & tiredness going to head

gingeme · 29/06/2008 21:45

Happy birthday lucky.
Had a bit of a mishap today. I was sitting on my sofa with George near me laying on his back. David was 'Mumming' wanting a drink and dh was telling me about his friend passing his bus driving test when 'thud' George had rolled onto the floor . Dh said hed never seen me move so fast to pick him up. Mind you he didn't cry very much and was soon giggling at David playing boo! with him . Mind you David rolled off our bed atleast three times at this age. Theyre sooo fast
All ok he ate loads for his tea. Tried a fromage frais today. He looooooooooooooooooved it
Im feeling very sore and sunburned now. Trouble is it was pretty over cast when we did the toddle so I didn't bother with cream. Youd have thought I'd learn by now

madmouse · 29/06/2008 22:03

hi all

surprised to read about it being hot? Not here in the midlands, fairly cool

today was the big day, dh is now ordained, ie a member of the clergy. It was a great service (long...glad parents took Nathan out ofr a bit) and a nice little reception after, organised entirely by others .

nathan did really well. At the start of the service I had settled him asleep (by allowing him for once to use me as a dummy then the organ played a loud fanfare for the procession of the bishop etc. Poor thing wide awake and did not sleep until the end of the service 2 hours later, when he napped in my arms, dh then my dad. He was overtired though by the time we came home, ut I am so proud of my little man. It is sometimes quite overwhelming, as Nathan is quite famous in the diocese, due to his illness, then miraculous recovery and the fact that everyone has been praying for him, so they all want to touch/hold/cuddle and in the end you just have to say no. he is asleep now. me too soon

LuckySalem · 29/06/2008 22:07

Cheers for that Lilly - Will look at tomorrow, Haven't got the patience to look now. LOL

I don't know if this will work but here is a pic of me! haha

me

simpson · 29/06/2008 22:11

Mrs BakerGirl - what have you done to me??!! I watched the last 10 mins of BB tonight and am hooked!! Don't know who anyone is though.

Madmouse - glad your DH's big day went well and Nathan handled it ok. Hopefully he will be so knackered he will sleep well tonight (DS not DH!!)

Angechica - Woo hoo Spain!!

LuckySalem · 29/06/2008 22:20

bb9 spitting

simpson · 29/06/2008 22:39

Cheers for that lucky unfortunately I might become a new BB fan!!

LuckySalem · 29/06/2008 22:41

I hate it, Esp after all this! They need to put some normal people in instead of people who hate each other before they've even met!

simpson · 29/06/2008 22:47

You can tell how bored I must be in the evenings though if BB is the best thing to watch!! Have not watched it since series 2 though.

mixedmama · 30/06/2008 09:55

Morning ladies, have just caught up altho i suspect you guys have posted loads in the time i have caught up.

First things first woo hoo for Spain Ange and susie. Glad the thieving Germans didnt win. Still bitter - sorry to any Germans.

Simpson - a bit late, but sorry about Dh accidnet.

Naetha - dont think I can use Bupa (we have it at work) as it is a longstanding problem and have already been seen for it.

Lucky - DS2 fell off the sofa quite early on was so freaked out, but it happens.

simpson · 30/06/2008 13:06

Mrs BakerGirl - hope dentist sorts out toothache.

I am trying to get organised and sort out DS's birthday presents & party even though his birthday is not until the end of August!! It will not be a panic to sort out then and spread the cost. We are away for 2 weeks in August too. Wanted to hire bouncy castle but have just found a small one in early learning for £20!! Result!! Ds hungry best go and sort out lunch...

lilyloo · 30/06/2008 13:17

Gingeme poor George hope he recovered now!

Simpson wow super organised
I am hoping to get bouncy castle organised for dd's christening this week!

Lucky what about going shoulder length , sweeping long fringe and layered into your face. I would also put some low/highlights in too!

DD is making a really odd noise like a low growl do you think she could have sore throat or it's just new noise she has found. It sounds quite hoarse , is it worth trip to docs as she won't do it when she is ther i can guarantee or would you leave it ?

OP posts:
simpson · 30/06/2008 13:39

Lilyloo - if DD seems ok in herself otherwise I would not bother with docs. Try giving her drink of cooled boiled water to see if that helps. But it might be new noise as you said!!

DS not keen on big bouncy castles as he has been pushed off before by older kids etc so saw this one and have reserved it!! Its quite small though can only get 2/3 kids on it but perfect for our sized garden and for nervous DS!!

lilyloo · 30/06/2008 15:54

Thanks Simpson think your right, i nkow what you mean r/e bouncy castles the big ones get a bit silly tbh so at least with a small one they can;t spoil it for ds.

dear all well home first night away from home - and all was well charlie slept pretty much as normal in her little travel cot.

lots of loading and unloading car though as had to stay at my brothers in the evening and mums in the day as they are having building work done.

Charlie i think has also dropped 11pm dream feed. went to feed her friday night and she refused it ans slept through last night i didnt give it to her and a few little grizzles but slept through til the morning so if true great news.

filly cant remember how old t is but there is a growth spurt around 24 weeks apparently.

charlie suddenly become interested in food and is changing really quickly at the moment in what she can do - at the moment she is holding a teething ring and biting down on it she couldnt get it to her mouth just a few days ago with enough continual precision.

Dh back tomorrow - we have missed him.

to all

simpson · 30/06/2008 18:56

Evening all!

DD been down for 10 mins DS watching telly tubbies. He was playing in garden with little boy from next door (who is 5 & plays VERY nicely with him) when all of a sudden 4 boys of about 8/9 joined in. Just about to tell them to go away they are too big/rough, break DS's toys in past etc. When they shout that DS's ball stuck at top of tree next door.He has only had it 24 hrs as won it at fete yesterday. They could only have put it there deliberately I think as its so high. Then they buggered off!! Took 20 mins to get it down. Grrr.

Lily - that is another reason for small bouncy castle as we can have it in our garden as apposed to grassy verge outside for a bigger one and can tell the bigger kids to piss off then!

Nicky - well done Charlie for dropping night feed!!

LuckySalem · 30/06/2008 19:26

Righ had a horrid day today.... (not really but felt it) DD been up since 4:20am [yawn] She hasn't slept apart from 45 mins this afternoon. she had a meltdown and collapsed about 6:45 and is sleeping on the sofa at the moment.

I've been busy today - Have emptied cat box & fryer. Been shopping & Swimming and arranged a haircut for Thursday.

Lilly - Thanks for the advice, i've told them they I want some sort of colour (lighter) and a drastic cut. I'm thinking of going REALLY short.... i'm a little scared about it but I really need a low maintenance haircut cos I really don't bother with my hair and now its got so long I can't actually brush underneath it and I think there is about 30 knots in it all.

Mum & Dad are back from their cruise tomorrow so going down there to feed their cats and take some milk & bread.

Right oh all, i'll probably be here a little longer but am going to bed soon. Early night needed! lol

MrsBakerGirl · 30/06/2008 20:32

Hi all!

Simpson - feeling better thanks, has given me temporary filling to see if ok otherwise will need root canal. Still a bit tender so will wait till Wednesday to see whether need to go back sooner! Back there next Monday anyway.

DH at Wimbledon all day with clients!!!! What I would do to have a day on my own, thinking about myself and not having to watch the clock!!!

DD was a nightmare before bed - screamed for 45 mins everytime I put the bottle near her. Thank god my mum had come over to help.

Need a glass of wine with Big Brother!

I am dreaming of dropping the dream feed ........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

lilyloo · 30/06/2008 20:34

I am dreaming of just having to do the dream feed

Am watching the tennis..........(bites nails). Go Murray!

justkeepswimming · 30/06/2008 21:28

me too!

should be in bed - ds2 up 4 times last night....

bed tennis bed tennis bed tennis.....

simpson · 30/06/2008 21:29

DD has not fed that well today either but I think it is the heat. Although she did have a massive 8 ozs before bed which is a lot for her so hopefully no night wakings.

DS had total melt down at bathtime after all the excitement of ball in tree. The guy next door managed to get it down & DS thought he HELPED as he lifted him up to shake tree etc. Poor DD was in the front room on her own but she was very good. Did miss out her bath tonight though as I could not be bothered.

Does anyone else bath their LO every night?

AngeChica · 30/06/2008 21:30

Am also trying to fill out tax credits form. Grr!

Why do they have to make it so complicated? They should just change our tax bracket at source I reckon.

justkeepswimming · 30/06/2008 21:32

yay andy

simpson - both of them every other night, unless beach/sand/sunscreen/mud/etc...

nite all
