Hi Simpson

Shame you can't make it but totally understand what is like managing two. I am always a bit wary with the DTs when I go out incase one of them starts creating! If both of them do I've had it!

I have held of with the aptamil as just introduced some solids. Thought my DD would be a nightmare as she is so bad with her milk but she has taken to it quite well and seems to be enjoying it. Only having once a day at moment and is not affecting her milk feeds at all - she is so predicable and no matter what always only takes between 20-25oz a day. She sleeps 7-7 so I really can't complain (dreamfeed 11ish). I am also leaving longer beween her feeds and whilst she still takes the same it means we do not have half an hour of stress and crying but takes around 4-5oz happily in 5 mins.

I will try the aptamil when I know all ok with solids or she goes backwards with milk feeds.

You will love Sex and The City! Bring a tissue I had a few tears!

Have a good afternoon!

Inspiring discussions about weaning.

Can they eat rice cakes now?

Filly - found these sugar free rusks in local organic shop. They come in orange too. Rusks all say 7 months. Why is that? It says they have to get used to purees but Sabela doesn't like purees. ??? Am I a bad mummy to give them to her?

Naetha - Was the broccoli stem pureed or whole?

susiemj · 25/06/2008 17:19

OMG Ange - gorgeous pics. Have to get some of Sabela!

lilyloo · 25/06/2008 17:27

Lilyloo - I was in tchibo today and they had a travel cot for £29. They had baby sleeping bags too but can't remember how much they were.

simpson · 25/06/2008 18:30

well DD just gone to bed only had 3.5 ozs some how I don't think that will last her till 6.00am. Might be in for a bad night tonight. Oh well...

On the plus side picked up my DS's pic from playgroup and it is absolutely gorgeous!! Just have to work out how many to get now. DH wants to get one for every relative of his back in Ireland...

Fragolina · 25/06/2008 19:11

Am just going to start catching up - how was the meet up yesterday - so of all who made it. Need some advice though on my other thread here especially from those who've had previous experience of using a childminder. The more I tihnk of it, the less happy I am.

simpson · 25/06/2008 19:30

Fragolina - have posted on your other thread.

Mixed mama - good luck for turkey tonight. How are things at work?

susiemj · 25/06/2008 20:21

GO Turkey!

mixedmama · 25/06/2008 20:41

Ahhhh I cant take it. Football is so much stress.

mixedmama · 25/06/2008 20:47

Frag had a look at your thread, think I would not be happy.... I am inclined to say that if the more you think about the less happy you are then maybe she isnt the right one. I know when i dont like something the smaller things seem bigger and bug me more iyswim.

Housemum · 25/06/2008 21:02

Susiemj - think rusks say 7 mths because of the gluten in them - supposed to wait until after 6 mths for gluten. Have just tried Amelie with first bits of finger food - she tried one rice cake and managed about half (the little cow & gate ones), but when I gave her another later she spat it out - and I mean spat as it travelled over the table rather than just dribbling it out! Obviously not a fan...

Fragolina · 25/06/2008 21:04

Go Turkey! Are you on the edge of your seat mixedmama? Caught up on thread, and have now forgotten everything I've been reading for the past hour! Can't even blame pregnancy brain

At least Turkey bloody qualified and went out in the semis not much consolation now I know!!

mixedmama · 25/06/2008 21:51

Gutted and so close, we played the best we have this tournament and they were shite. Oh well. Onto the World Cup

It was only DS2 and me at home and his little face was a picture everytime i jumped up and screamed, he must have thought i was nuts. Luckily he went to bed at half time and I tried to tone it down.

simpson · 25/06/2008 21:59
