Couldn't think of anything contraversial!

Ah yes - I've a dolly mad dd2. She was cuddling her doll as she was going to bed tonight.

Dd1 only likes them because dd2 likes them.
Grr.

Sounds familiar, Margo!

AQ, here: www.elc.co.uk/toy-42733?&category_id=600&parent_category_id=534&parent_category_id=534

My links never work, so if you want to have a look, ELC and search for mini sizzling kitchen. They can play sitting down, or put it on a table if they're into hovering upright like dd2

Elibean · 03/07/2008 21:47

knew it wouldn't

Just put httplinkybit

Indith · 03/07/2008 21:57

doh!

httplinybit without the spaces! tis the [[ that make it know it is a link!

Indith · 03/07/2008 21:59

and if you want it to say this kitchen instead of the long address then httpbit leave a space this kitchen without the spaces between the words and the brackets.

accessorizequeen · 03/07/2008 22:17

Ok, I've got the link now!! Hmm, not too pricey, was thinking something to entertain him when dt's arrive, might do the trick!
Funnily enough, I didn't do blw and ds2 is quite fab with fork and spoon, so sweet when he's concentrating. I wish I had done it more though and I'm certainly not pureeing stuff at night this time round!

ev, how're you feeling?

EustaciaVye · 04/07/2008 07:37

AQ, not feeling too bad today thanks. The first thing my course taught me was to set aside a 20 min worry time every day. if I feel anxious about anything I'm not allowed to worry then but I have to write it down and then deal with it in my worry time. Sounds weird but it might help me realise when I look at my list that things arent that bad.

castlesintheair · 04/07/2008 11:02

Eli, which playhouse do you have? Am just in the process of getting one. My DCs want the one my neighbour has which is wooden, on stilts, has a slide and costs £300 I think! I was thinking more along the lines of a big plastic one.

Aww, tell DD1 not to worry about school Eli. DS didn't know anyone either in Reception, and he doesn't make friends as easily as DD1 due to language difficulties, but he has so many friends now and absolutely loves school .

Glad you are feeling ok EV. I think it's a great idea to set aside time to worry. I find myself doing it before I go to bed. Probably explains why I never get any sleep

EustaciaVye · 04/07/2008 13:05

Castles - we have this playhouse.

EustaciaVye · 04/07/2008 13:06

Have been on phone to the insurance company so they now have all the details. Will be glad when it is all sorted tbh.

LenniEd · 04/07/2008 14:52

Hi all,

My internet is off - AGAIN! Phone line fault has reappeared. Will be back soon hopefully! EV - glad you are getting things sorted.

Have a good weekend everyone.

EustaciaVye · 04/07/2008 15:59

Dd2 has just spent 25 minutes stacking 6 peek-a-blocks together. She finds it hilarious when the topple over and I'm amazed she can stack all 6 into a tower. DD1 used to throw a wobbly when they fell over when she was this age, so they have been buried deep in a toy box for a long time.

Elibean · 04/07/2008 18:27

Thank you Indith, rescued by a 'spurt [dd1's word for expert)

Always wondered how to do the instead of long address bit, and never got around to asking anyone!

Thanks, Castles, suspect its me worrying more than dd1, who bounced back very fast, or has seemed to. I think she always needs to connect with the adult first, then branch out into friendships from there - she did the same at pre-school, and has lots of pals now. I can actually remember how huge everything looks when you're at a new school stage....

EV, glad you're worry-time is helping (makes sense to me) and v impressed at SIX bricks

Playhouse is a simple wooden one with two windows and a door, from Summer playhouses, and I will attempt link as soon as dds are in bed and I'm not rushing. It was pretty reasonably priced compared to some of the ones I saw online, amazing how much some cost!

Indith · 04/07/2008 19:45

Gah ds is teething again. Fangs are evil, so evil that ds has refused spag bol twice this week! Unheard of that is! Just put him back to bed screaming. In my defence he has had medised and time for it to kick in and was lying on the floor cuddling dou dou.

6 bricks! Very impressive, ds thinks bricks are there to be knocked over as soon as possible.

Dp home tonight! And cousin and family arriving tonight too.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 04/07/2008 20:03

I like the mini kitchen - not too big.

Oh and our boiler seems to be beyond repair. They're sending someone else to see it on Tuesday. I don't quite know how we'll afford a new one < & panicky>

OP posts:
Indith · 04/07/2008 20:16

RIP boiler

Could be worth contacting your council to see if there are any local grants for getting more efficient boilers

Elibean · 04/07/2008 22:06

Castles:

this playhouse

Elibean · 04/07/2008 22:07

almost worked

Elibean · 04/07/2008 22:09

poor boiler, poor Margo. We had same situation wiht ours last winter, wasn't as bad as we expected, but still not fun.

And poor ds, Indith, yes, fangs are horrid. dd2 currently has eczema all over chin from drooling, and a habit of putting her hands up to her face/ears and saying 'ow, ow, AIE' in piteous tones.

Elibean · 04/07/2008 22:10

Trying again, will give up and go to bed if it doens't work, whilst hanging head in shame...

Elibean · 04/07/2008 22:10

Bed.

accessorizequeen · 04/07/2008 22:13

Elibean's playhouse

Elibean · 04/07/2008 22:17

Damnation, how did you DO that?!? I'm sure I followed Indith's explanation....httplink playhouse minus the post and pre [[ spaces?
