Couldn't think of anything contraversial!

Thanks for the reassurance - I know I shouldn't worry. I think in part I am worried because so many close friends and family seem to have trouble conceiving or have had m/c's and so to me the odds of everything going ok seem so small. The cramps are also two different sets - one high up more in my stomach which I'm sure are digestion related, but the others are low down just like period pains. They are the ones which make me worry. Anyway I feel better for having told you all, and a lot better for knowing some of you have had the same thing and everything been ok. Roll on Monday.

Eli, it sounds like you have had a lovely day. Such a nice way to do it all too. The cake sounds wonderful - all this talk of cake lately is making me crave it like mad! We are going to be much more low key with baby-to-be. DD had a BBQ at home so not too bad, but practically everyone we know came and it ended up being quite stressful.

I got into Christmas decorations when nesting EV - I decorated the whole house from top to toe with lights and matching decorations. It was hideous. I now have enough Christmas trimmings to do at least 4 trees and about 3 houses. I would have a clear out, but with this one due in early Jan I have a feeling they might get put to use again this year . I would like to get the cleaning type of nesting though, my house is a mess. I have fallen off the flylady wagon in style.

Oops - not sure how I managed that.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 23/06/2008 21:43

Okay - I've removed 2 people off the FB group as of just now.

All the rest of the list had at least 1 other mutual friend.

Hope that's okay with everyone.

Lennied, my cramps were the low down period ones - and I had bleeding too. I think most people I was pg with had low down period pains for a while, its the uterus stretching...and you feel it much more with the second one, apparently. Trust me, after 4 m/cs I did my research when I had cramps, I must have asked a million people about them

Always stressful though, till they're gone. So I would succumb to cake craving or Xmas decorating or whatever helps you feel comforted

I love this weather! Would so love to pretend to be doing gardening, or even hanging washing, to be out in it - but tomorrow is D-day for the loft (stair breakthrough day) so I have to pack, tidy, cover in dust sheets, and tomorrow morning seal all doors and leave. Very silly of me, its just a house, but I slept badly and woke up feeling just as I did when 9 months pregnant - you know, that sinking feeling of 'omg this baby/stairs has to come OUT/DOWN, I've changed my mind, I don't really want a baby/loft'

Indith · 24/06/2008 11:20

Hello! The Isle of Mann is beautiful when sunny and seriously wet when not. Ds, who has been an angel for his daddy and slept in until gone 10 in the morning was wide awake when I got home at gone midnight (bloody ferries) and didn't go back to sleep for hours.

Glad you had a good holiday Lennied And naming day thingy Eli

BP there is plenty of nutritional value in biscuits

Right I have to clean and tidy this house and start getting stuff together for next trip to parentals, we have wedding dress material Tis crazy in this house at the moment, cousin visiting when I get back from mum's, then off to France, then get keys for new rented house with damp proofing and double glazing the day after we get back and have to be out of here by the end of that week at which point I have a Guide Camp so I'll be leaving to go on camp from one house and coming back to another, and when I do dp will be away with work! Oh yes, and dp is going away with work next week too....Really must get off my arse and clean so I can attempt to pack some boxes in the loft. Of course after Guide Camp will be almost wedding time and I have no clue what is going on. Argh! Remind me why all this is a good idea!

jabberwocky · 24/06/2008 13:44

Margo, that reminds me I must update pics on FB Good idea for clearing out, it made me nervous having people on there that I didn't know so I had kind of backed off of it for a while.

Indith - I'm exhausted jsut reading your post!

accessorizequeen · 24/06/2008 14:19

I'm going to add some photos tonight, spent hours sorting through them last night! Two cameras and a mac I don't yet properly understand grrr. Wld love to see new photos from all Dec 06 babies & mums!

Indith, when are you back in Hull again? Will you collapse entirely when you get here?! erm, you have remembered you're pg too in all of us, how do you keep up! Still, you are more than a decade younger than me

Indith · 24/06/2008 15:50

Photos are on my to do list......

House is clean, third load of washing on, landlord has been to re-grout the shower (it started leaking into the dining room!)having lunch. Next task involves sitting though. Uni e-mail expires at the end of the month so sorting out address changes etc.

PG AQ? Are you sure you mean me? I'm not pg, who told you that? Am back Thurs night til Monday, perhaps a morning this time!

accessorizequeen · 24/06/2008 16:34

Do you mean this Thurs, indith? Can do Friday morning although the garden is being redone so absolute chaos!

LenniEd · 24/06/2008 19:43

Thanks Eli.

Indith, I'm not sure that I have the energy to even contemplate your crazy existence! Make sure you take time to enjoy the wedding preparations though, I look back very fondly on those mad months. Makes me go all weak at the knees with the romance of it all. Where in France are you going? I would like to go to France next year for our hols - I fancy a nice villa with lots of red wine to drink and brie on fresh baguettes. Not missing wine and cheese at all....

Mmm, cake batter. Dammit, I am going to have to make a cake before long, can't hold out much longer. If only I could decide what kind it would already be done.

accessorizequeen · 24/06/2008 19:48

mmmmmm brie. aq salivates all over keyboard.....

accessorizequeen · 24/06/2008 22:56

indith, could possibly do sat morn, have to chat to dp about weekend arrangements as ds1 away all weekend!

Photos on fb, and I've invited you to join us Lennied!

LenniEd · 24/06/2008 23:37

AQ - thanks. Have posted a message on there. I have had a look at your pictures too - they are so cute! I don't know how to do mine but you can see DD on my profile if you look at my photos.

Does anyone have any good car recommendations? I need to change my car and want one with a bigger distance between the front and back seats as DD is kicking my seat now and her car seat is meant to last until she is 4! I still want a small car though. Any ideas on small cars with spacious back seats??!

jabberwocky · 25/06/2008 01:05

Do you have Scions over there? I love my XB.

LenniEd · 25/06/2008 13:18

Don't think we do - unless it's just me who hasn't seen one. Will have a look though - thanks Jabber. Have had a Punto Grande recommended on my thread on products (by Gloria), a Mercedes A Class (most likely out of my price range) and a VW Golf. Had a look at a friend's Vauxhall Astra today and that looks no better than my Megane. I find cars so stressful. DH needs to change his too and he will be even harder to find one for.

DD has had her first waterproof jacket and trousers bought at the weekend (she'd outgrown her waterproof all-in-one) and is currently out gardening in the rain with DH and his friend. She looks so cute, but so grown up. I'm starting to wish I could keep her like this forever.

Gloria42 · 25/06/2008 14:01

LenniEd, I'm no car expert but DP has a merc and DB has a Golf and neither can take ISOFIX. We were told that certain car manufacturers do their own carseats so they make a point of not supplying the right connectors.

castlesintheair · 25/06/2008 17:38

I think the A class is really cool. That's what I'd get if I had a choice. DH has a smart car which is great too but only good if it's you driving + 1 LO of course.

Has anyone else got hayfever? It's so awful at the moment I feel like I have flu There's a sign outside DD1's nursery saying there's a case of Scarlet Fever, so maybe I've got that as well

castlesintheair · 25/06/2008 17:40

p.s. saw your pix on FB AQ. You look dead glam. Being PG with twins obviously suits you

Olihan · 25/06/2008 19:20

Ooh, AQ, I'm so of your bump!

Who is on the FB group - someone from London with an I? I've guessed which ones Eli and LennieD are but I'm stuck on that one. Gloria?

LenniEd · 25/06/2008 19:46

Hi Oli - I have posted on the Wall part who I am just in case - I can't work out how to post photos on though? I would like to put one of DD on where AQ has put hers - and AQ you do look really well, can't believe you've got 2 tucked up in there! I am starting to go through the podgy looking phase now, can't wait for a proper bump now so I stop getting the fat looks off people.

Castles - I like the A Class too, and the fuel economy is really good. Am looking at that, the Fiat Punto and the Ford Focus Hatchback now I think.

LenniEd · 25/06/2008 19:49

And I forgot to say BP - that pre-holiday checklist got me too - but you will be glad to come home to a clean house. I cam home to a tip and it was a bit miserable after a nice holiday.

babypowder · 25/06/2008 20:39

I can't believe how busy you pg women are! How do you do it?

Slowly getting prepared for the holiday. I'm sure Genghis Khan carried less with him than we are for 2 weeks in Brittany. (mmm cider Benefits to not being pg!)

DD2 still isn't talking. She sings loads - proper nursery rhymes - but doesn't speak. I know that in a couple of months, when I'm desperate for her to be quiet for 2minutes I'll wonder what I was so worried about [hollow laugh] [brave ]

babypowder · 26/06/2008 13:37

Look at that. Killed it dead.
