Now paint your face blue, and stick your tongue out at the world - end especially the half-wit-mid-life-crisis-lacking-common-sense-PMT-suffering-eejits we otherwise call men.

eandh, ratbunny, susie, UD - this one's for you

I cant even see your profile wilkie

Gorgeous pics of dj Lizz btw. Hair looks very natural.

Dragonhart · 28/05/2008 11:18

Shimmer- DH took me to Paris as a surpise to propose (before children when we were still slightly romantic ) and I loved it. It was my favourite holiday ever. DH wanted to ask me at the top of the eiffle tower (cheesy I know) but I was too scared as it was windy so he asked me in a little garden at the bottom. Hope you have a great time xxx

SmoothandWilkie · 28/05/2008 11:58

Now?

eandh · 28/05/2008 13:38

Wilkie - the top one is adorable that would look fab cropped in on his face in black & white (I've still got that photo software if you want me to have a play with it)

Well popped to town and met my Mum for tea and cake (no cake for me though ) got a fewe bits of shopping, home around 10.30 and Hattie slept from then till 12.30 so I have painted another two walls in the lounge (opted for biscuit crumb in the end which is only about a shade darker than what we have but it looks so much fresher) got the dreaded stair wall to do and then the landing and the horrible glossing job (in toatl whole of staircase, 6 door frames, skirting boards in lounge, landing and on stairs) My dad coming at weekend to fix the new fireplace to wall and board up some glass panelling that we don't like. Decided not to bother renewing floor yet as Hattie needs to be potty trained and they still drop stuff all over it so the laminate stays for a few years then we'll have carpet again

laughalot · 28/05/2008 13:48

laughalot · 28/05/2008 13:49

How could I forget you eah however we spoke a few mins ago

Lizzzombie · 28/05/2008 15:01

eah - you need to change your MN name to wonderwoman! I am so impressed by the amount you get done in one day! How many cups of coffee/red bulls do you drink???
Dragon - Was talking to a mate of mine at the weekend who has a 6 mo DS. She is planning his catholic christening at the moment, so he can get into the local catholic primary and eventually the secondary school which is the best in the area is catholic. ??!! Her DP is a very lapsed catholic so that is their tenuous link to it, but there is NO WAY I could be thinking that far ahead! Who knows whats round the corner? (am planning on winning the lotto or the Premium Bonds!)
Wilkie - I can only see the top photo, and its adorable! He looks so grown up.

DJ was just drinking from his new big boy straw cup thing, and I had to wonder where my little baby has gone to....
btw - THIS DOES NOT MAKE ME BROODY!!!

Lizzzombie · 28/05/2008 15:03

ps. Guess what I am doing tomorrow....
a photo shoot for the Sun newspaper! £200 cash in hand and expenses paid. Before and After photos for testing various cellulite creams. Yes. I have no shame! Will let you know when its published!!!!

wonderwomanakaeandh · 28/05/2008 15:36

Lizz how did you get to do that (mmmm seriously interested in making extra £'s, am contemplating taking ironing in to do at home as saddo I am I like ironing and could earn some extra money)

Change of name just for you

wonderwomanakaeandh · 28/05/2008 15:37

Ps I dont like coffee or red bull but am very impulsive and impatient hence things did decoded and done very quickly in the eandh household

theAfkaUrbanDryad · 28/05/2008 18:21

Hello all! Just a quick hello to see how everyone's doing!

I can't see your piccies Liz but Wilkie just how gorgeous is your little man?! He is utterly scrumptious!

There are new pics up on my facebook though, if anyone wants to look!

Reggiee · 28/05/2008 19:10

Kiki - have texted Vino for you.

Reggiee · 28/05/2008 19:10

Has anyone heard from Susie today?

Dragonhart · 28/05/2008 19:17

Very cute Wilkie. And I agree Lizz, how grown up are they all looking! Seems like over night Ruth is looking like a little girl rather than a baby girl.

Laughalot- A bit stuck on names tbh. Like Anne, Rachael and Naomi for girls but boys are a bit harder. Like Michael but HATE Mike and most people are known by nicknames arent they. Like Jude but not sure about the whole Jude Law thing and the name books say it is a variant of Judas so not sure about that either. Also like Nathan but not sure if I like it enough. Maybe this means it is a girl?!

Lizz- it really pisses me off when people get their children baptised to get into a school. When my niece was baptised, there was a 4yo and her little sister who were blatantly getting christened to get into a school. We got Luke and Ruth baptised because it was important to us not becuase the caltholic school is the best in the area (which it is not here btw).

Lizzzombie · 28/05/2008 19:23

UD - am a div, was spelling your new name wrong. You are officially one of my MN mates again!
WonderwomanE&H - thats more like it! Will ask the journalist if she is looking for anyone else to write about. (its the health bit, so will be to do with weight loss etc) One of my mates is PR for a herbal slimming pill brand is always looking for case studies (and they pay like £100 everytime they use your case study as an example somewhere!) - but you have to take the pills. They really work though - apparently.
Another of my mates did a piece for the Sun last week. Got the £200, AND got to kep the "after" clothes she was styled in!
Dragon - Nathan is a good name. I don't envy you having to choose names! We couldn't agree on anything at all.

Lizzzombie · 28/05/2008 19:26

Here is the article about my friend.
UD - you met her on the Breast Feeding Picnic last summer - and she did NOT look like this!

2Happy · 28/05/2008 19:28

Thanks for all the opinions on pre-school. I think it's unsettling me because I've always had doubts about that primary school. There are 2 other options - one is very good but is in totally the opposite direction for both dh and my's work, and a long way from the childminder's - and since dh and I start work at 8, we rely on her to drop ds1 off. The other one is just a little further than his current playgroup, and I think I want to explore that one really. DH - because I work over the border, ds1 is in the Scottish system ATM and would be due to go to school in 2 years time, when he is (just) 5. But if he goes to the other school I'm considering, it's in England, and I think that may mean he goes a year in september, which is way to soon....gah! It's all too stressful. And if dh and I move to my parent's house, it would be yet another different school, but which uses the pre-school at his current place!! Stoopid.

Cute kids all
LIzz - oops to the bitching, well done on the contract
LTH hope he sleeps well tonight
RGee - I'm sure kw3 was planning to come to the meetup. I guess where depends on the weather - if it's nice it's got to be the beach. Or Alnwick Castle Gardens (though they're really expensive). There's softplay in Alnwick and Berwick if it rains.

Stuck at home tomorrow, car's being serviced. Fecking petrol cost 115.9p/litre today . Oh, and yay to the Apprentice last night, though I think he should have fired 2 of them!

OP posts:
vinorouge · 28/05/2008 20:20

Thanks for the text Rgee - I sold the pliko on monday, I don't know, it never rains but it pours! My phil and teds arrived today so dh has the job of assembling it tonight.

theAfkaUrbanDryad · 28/05/2008 20:33

2Happy - can't get it cheaper than 117.9p per litre round here!

SmoothandWilkie · 28/05/2008 20:39

Evening all - loads of chatting so sorry for lack of personals!

Petrol 115.9 here. What a f*cking nightmare. Hate Labour. HAte Gordon Brown. Hate living in this country where we are taxed on our taxes. Bah. Rant over.

Shite weather today

theAfkaUrbanDryad · 28/05/2008 20:52

New Zacky pics here, here, here and here

SmoothandWilkie · 28/05/2008 20:58

My GOD UD - he is an absolute Mini-Me of you! So cute and LOVE the hair in the highchair one

wonderwomanakaeandh · 28/05/2008 20:59

eandh warbles about the 'good ol days' where I used to put £10 a week petrol in my car and always have 3/4 - full tank, now I have to put £20 a week minimum and avoid driving if I can help it

wonderwomanakaeandh · 28/05/2008 21:01

spoooky wilkie - just msn UD the exact same comment
