Now paint your face blue, and stick your tongue out at the world - end especially the half-wit-mid-life-crisis-lacking-common-sense-PMT-suffering-eejits we otherwise call men.

eandh, ratbunny, susie, UD - this one's for you

Evening - I have had a few MN free days and actually enjoyed E&H plus had some family problems (thankfully not mine) that I had to help with (hopefully sorted now)

Not been up to much, preschool trip to Farm on wednesday where Ellie and her 'boyfriend' insisted on being in the same car and being together all day , my Mum had Hattie so was nice to spend time with Ellie

PCF - Hows alex now

Wilkie - cant speak to you to jealous of car

Susie - half term next week but because of above mentioned family problems wont be able to make this week but school breaks up frfom 15th july to 8th september so hopefully catch up then

Ummmm cant remember who else hasd posted what??

susiecutiebananas · 23/05/2008 21:07

UD: I really do know how you feel! I have horrible insomnia ATM. Its like DH and Izzy torture me, they snore really really loudly so that it rubs it in for me that i'm awake and they're fast asleep happily dreaming.... I wish my TV did make tea.

I have a warm bath every night, with mug of warm milk with 2 sugars in it ( something to do with the chemical that is released or made more accessible when heating the milk with the sugar aids sleep... ) I also have a baileys too... sometimes it used to work, just now, it doesn't. I took herbal sleeping tablets, not much help but i did doze off eventually!

E&H shame about next week. NO worries though, we will be around most of the summer, we're going away first week of august and hoping for a week or 2 in september. so we should be able to see you some time.

theAfkaUrbanDryad · 24/05/2008 07:48

Susie - i daren't take any sleeping tablets as they really knock me for six. Also, things like Nytol and 5-Htp have valerian in them, which lowers blood pressure, which i really can't have as my BP is stupidly low anyway! Which is a bugger, as 5-HTP was the one thing that used to help with my depression!!

We are off to IL's today - they've just put a swimming in their garden and they're very keen for Z to try it out. i think i'll need to see how cold it is first!!

eandh · 24/05/2008 08:30

Oh my god pmsl myself my Mum just phoned and she has booked pantomine tickets for 29th December to take Ellie (I think Hattie to little thi syear), its only May FFS I know she likes to be organised but ????

SmoothandWilkie · 24/05/2008 12:21

Like mother like daughter EAH....!! You are very ANAL too.

BTW re text - you could call you business 'Iron Maiden' - geddit??

Yes yes - I have to announce - my H has bought me a brand new Peugeot 308 1.6HDI Sport in Black. I am allowed to brag because we have always had shite cars and this is the first time I have EVER had a brand new car so am very very excited. It arrived 7-10 days. Eek!

UD - swimming pool in garden! Now that IS posh!!

Susie - I know what you mean re DH torturing you - my DH just nods off within literally two minutes - it takes me an average of 45-1hr to get to sleep whilst he merrily snores and twitches next to me! [grr]

vinorouge · 24/05/2008 21:07

Hi there.

Hope you get family issues sorted E&H, seems to be one thing after another for you at the mo.

Wilkie - cool news about the new car. How exciting!

Susie - did you ever get Izzys passport sorted? SOunds like it will be well used - thats if your hols are abroad I suppose. Mine never are!

UD - hope the swimming pool was good.

Been to meet up with my brothers today which was cool. I let them run around after E while she fed the ducks (ate a lot of the bread herself I think). Older bro hadn't seen her since Dec so was amazed by how much she's changed. It meant a 2 hour drive each way and I ahd the dentist at 9am before I went so I'm ready for bed myself,. DH is away tonight. Normally I am the one of us who falls asleep straight away, last time I was pg I had huge probs sleeping for the last month or so, hoping that is delayed for a while cos I could do without it.

Life in the vino household is much the same. I found Ellen under her bed the other morning which amused me. Not sure if she had slept there or got there when she woke up. She was stuck! I had to loift the bed up to let her out so goodness knows how she got herself there in the first place.

Hope everybody is having a nice weekend. I plan to take the next cvouple of days easy. Got food shopping to do, washing, ironing type jobs, a it of work and just want to enjoy being at home.

DH has been ace today and almost finished putting up the blinds we bought in Feb. The ones in the bay window in our bedroom look cool. I feel full of admiration for him. I wonder if thats how he feels when he eats nice things I have made???

On that note. time for bed.

ladytophamhatt · 24/05/2008 21:17

WEvening ladies.

just popping in for some sympathy...G and ds3(but he's ok with it) both have tonsillitus.
G has been crying on and off all day, we've been up since 4am and awake on and of since about 2:30am.
Calpol, Nurofen and antibiotics aren't making much of a differnece simply because hes so over tired. He's prob only slept for 3-4 hours since 4am.

I've realised I am NOT a good mother when this tired....actually I'm not a good human when I'm this tired!!
I could have killed DH when he worked them all into a frenzy earlier, then fucked off to worked.

I could ( and probably should) go to bed now but teh big Dsses have only just gone so if i go now too I won't get any peace and quiet/'Me time' because it'll be morning again before I knwo it and so the battle commences.....
I think I could sleep for a week!

susiecutiebananas · 25/05/2008 00:29

You have my sympathy LTH Nice to see you BTW!
Being that tired is just like torture. Its utterly horrible I really hope you get some sleep tonight.

Can I just ask, how did you know he had tonsillitis? Izzy has bee coming down with something for a few days, thought it was going to e a cold and also she's teething horribly again with premolars. I noticed to day, she didn't drink hardly anything, and didn't want to br feed. She also was really grimacing when ever she did swallow. Her breath smells pretty horrible too.

BUT, she won't let me look i her mouth for love nor money. Last time the GP tried she wouldn't let him look ad then just bit the tongue depressor. It was really embarrassing as she wouldn't let it go! She's has a raised temp too and sounds v hoarse. Not sure if its 'just' a throat infection or tonsillitis.

Anyway, i'm off to try for a little bit of sleep myself. Pain killers starting to work and izzy is asleep for the time being...

ladytophamhatt · 25/05/2008 07:51

He's had it before susie, so I recognised teh symptons to start with.
His temp shot up to 105.3 (not sure what that is converted back, bloody high though) so I took him to teh docs and mentioned tonsillitus, she wasn't keen on trying to look but I asked her to look anyway....I'm sure I woudl ahve come home without any anti-b's otherwise.

Lo and behold his tonsils were huge and red, although not pussy yet....Ithink recognising the symptons meant I nipped it in teh bud.

He slept much better last night so I feel sane/human/less demonic today, I woke up this morning to the sound of the sesame street music because he was playing with his toys in the cot, not too early either, about 5:50 am. He's asleep again now so I think (and hope) he's on the mend.

On a less gloomy note, his room is nearly finished now, the new carpet will be going down in teh next week and the bunting for teh wall arrived....its going to look so lovely. I can't wait!
I've decided to put him straight into a bed when its finished so I'll have the tearful event of dismantling the cot again.
I've realised I'm actually not that keen on having another one so it'll go to teh charity shop or something. I'd love love love LOVE to be PG again and have another baby. To hold my own tiny newborn again, to rub my lips of his fluffy downy hair, to smell that gorgeous new baby small...a lovely new person that only wants me. To spend those late night hours when no-one else is awake and it feels like its just me and my baby in the world....
Buts that all I want.

I don't want another child.
and they to tend to have a habit of growing into those annoying, noisy, argumentative, messy, dirty, smelly things.
So ds4 is going to be my baby forever

seems like there are a lot of ill los on this thread.
pcf and lth hope they are better soon.
lth - your reminiscing about a baby made me feel broody too. I like the bit about being awake at night, and it feels like only you and the babe. Tho that feeling does wane when you havent slept properly for months
wilkie - Your peugeot sounds fab - what year is it?I am getting a new car too - we traded in the c*nt car (as I call it) and I am getting a fiesta turbo diesel. £35 a year to tax
eah - lol at your mum booking pantomime tickets so soon!
S is currently not letting me do anything. He had sickness and diarrhoea along with a fever yesterday, and today I think he has a really sore throat and still a bit of a fever. I have a table near the settee with everything I need (i.e. my pc and the tv remote, I dont need much!) so I can cuddle him until he drops off and then get online! bless him.
Well, I am single again! Dh decided he had used me enough and wants out again. I was REALLY angry at him - I mean, he led me to believe he was going to try again and I went so far to support him, and he was more than willing to have sex. But he is still a cock, and wants his freedom. So he can have it. He wants £10k of our equity (we were selling, and would have £40k) to set himself up and clear all his debts (including my new car). But I have decided to stay in the house, and wil remortageg with my parents so he can have his money and clear off.
I was thinking of arranging his access to S, so he can have him, perhaps midday sat to midday sun so it really disrupts his freedom. [evil ] But really, I am going to try to remain amicable for S's sake.
I got really sad and angry, then mum reminded me how little he did for me. I can imagine now, with S ill, he would still be wanting to go out etc and not want to stick around with me and him.
So I will have a new life. Mum will babysit, and I will get back into my martial arts, and maybe take an evening course. And I did nearly ask the doctor who saw S yesterday for a date, he was quite nice, but I thought it might be a bit soon. lol.
I think the evevnings will be the hard bit, but I need to get back into my music etc, and I always have mnet!

ladytophamhatt · 25/05/2008 12:44

Oh god, yes ratbunny...I agree I have no patience at all when any of them wake up now, including G.
Its only whn they're teeny that I like it....

eandh · 26/05/2008 07:48

Morning

LTH - Hope G had a good night

Rat - it really sounds as if you are 'keeping it together' iykwim, fantastic news that your Mum and Dad can help you stay in house and at car tax thats brilliant (eandh ponders how much the people carrier is going to cost this year )

Its pouring down here, dh at work, my parents are out for day and spent yesterday afternoon at IL's so dont fancy going there again. I do need to pick up an crome electric fire (the ones with pebbles and ble flames) that I got on ebay for £40 (the one in B&Q was £199) I spent yesterday morning demolishing the fireplace that was in our front room, previous people had tiled the wall and floor so had to smash/chisel all tiles/adhesive off, Ellie was fab and was sweeping up for me. We got a lovely oak surround with granite looking heart/backing reduced from £299 to £109 in B&Q. May pop out later and get some paint samples we are contemplating between olive green on feature wall with biscuit colour on rest of them or maybe damson and cream, I love damson but not sure it isnt 'to much'. Or lounge has our stairs in it so its a big job to paint all of it so need to persuade parents or PIL to have the dd's one weekend soon

ladytophamhatt · 26/05/2008 08:06

been up since 3:50am...so it was deffo not a good night.

god knows how many times I was up with him before that aswell.

he's crying for something agaian now....no idea what we wants. doing my head in tbh.

eandh · 26/05/2008 08:19

aaaarghh I hate that non stop crying for no specific reason, normally H starts then E joins in and I start sounding like a fishwife telling them to be quiet

Mini lay in for me they didnt wake up till 6.45 (in fact I was awake in bed having a cup of tea and watching GMTV before they came in) DH just phoned and said that Ellie was in Hatties bed and they were cuddled up together when he left at 5am so that could be why they slept in for a bit

PCF - another one with working DH today 8am-7.30pm. Crap. Am so bored already!

EAH - love the sound of olive and biscuit and may just steal the colour for our new lounge!! or bedroom - hmm, can't deide which. Not a fan of Damson personally. Am also gonna check out ebay as the fire and fire surround in new house is HIDEOUS!

LTH - poor G

Ratbunny - what an absolute nightmare. Cut your losses and run.

Vino - keep dreaming that you are having a little girl and also dreamt that she came early. That is my prediction.

AM GONNA RUN A SWEEPSTAKE: £2 to enter (my Paypal is [email protected]) and you have to guess the weight of Vino's baby. Anyone can enter. Whoever is closest gets all the money

Me first (just copy and paste the list if you wanna join in):

Wilkie: 8lb 3oz

vinorouge · 26/05/2008 12:50

Wilkie - DH and I were shopping earlier and chatting about baby. He thinks its a girl and I think its a boy. We have agreed on a girls first name but not middle name - AND IT'S SECRET. No further on boys name though. I would love it if it was early cos feel huge and heavy. Think I have stretch marks on my bump [big sigh from vino. I managed not to get any last time but looks like I won't be so lucky this time.

Rat - we just swopped our diesel fiesta for my dads diesel focus. I was quite keen on the cheap tax too! Loved our fiesta, you can fit loads in them, my pliko used to fit in the footwell of the back seats if we needed the boot for everything else when we went away for the weekend. Also when the back seats are down you can fit tons in - going to the tip/getting stuff from ikea etc.

Having a lazy day as we are all knackered. Well DH and I are. Think I will lie on the sofa watching the sound of music this aft.

eandh · 26/05/2008 13:01

wilkie will paypal money in week vut

Wilkie 8lb 3oz
EandH 8lb 8oz

Fire is gorgeous was in its box she bought it plugged its in once and never used it since. Have taken girls to mcdonalds for lunch to break thge day up and got paint samples on wall, am loving Dulux feature wall 'overtley olive' with soft stone for other walls

SmoothandWilkie · 26/05/2008 18:41

Vino - you can twist your nipples and masturbate from 37 weeks to try and bring on early labour!! Excellent - what more could a girl want (worked for me though - 9 days early)

GOD I AM SO BORED! It has been the most boringest boring day from boringsville. J fell over when he was running and smacked his lip on the patio door frame - it poured with blood and is really fat now. My poor little man Gave him an icepop and cuddles.

Other than that - nothing to report. Yet another viewer didn't turn up today!
