Now paint your face blue, and stick your tongue out at the world - end especially the half-wit-mid-life-crisis-lacking-common-sense-PMT-suffering-eejits we otherwise call men.

eandh, ratbunny, susie, UD - this one's for you

2H - have tried again. Let me know when you get it and I can send you all my details. Last email went to a hotmail account! Thurs good for a meet.

katwith3kittens · 13/06/2008 13:13

Yeah .... c'mon Reggie lets get this sorted now

Thurs or Fri would be good for me, having said that I've just this minute got off the phone from arranging to go round for coffee on Thurs, but I'm sure that can be changed as it was quite casual. Fri we do Tiny Talk but thats done by 10.45.

Hope all these accident prone children are now OK. Did I not mention that those plastic chairs are more trouble than they are worth ??

Right, LO playing with a pan of water in the garden. Anything for a quiet time.Looks soaked. better go.Car half packed.

Reggiee · 13/06/2008 13:17

Wilkiepedia · 13/06/2008 14:42

Is it really bad that I feel the need to be one of those incredibly irritating people and text Vino every day to see 'Haven't you had that baby yet...' AND she still has 2 weeks to go!!

Sorry Vin, will try and restrain myself...

wonderwomanakaeandh · 13/06/2008 15:03

I remember when Eddas was expecting both of hers she got so pissed off with thos texts/calls (both of hers were 2 weeks late) in fact I even started a jokey thread on MN asking 'eddas you had that baby yet' wasnt that funny really

2Happy · 13/06/2008 16:37

Hum, speaking as someone who went 2 weeks over with both bastards darlings, that last month reallllly drags!

Reg, apologies, I do have a hotmail ad, but rarely use it. Have replied to you both

Evening all! Wilkie - loving the new name!

We ended up just going to the park in the end there was a gap in the clouds so i put Z's rain suit on and his wellies and let him get muddy. He loves it! Guess that's what i get for having a boy - or shouldn't i gender stereotype?

Wilkie - anecdote for you. We had the most annoying woman in the shop today at 5 to 5! Every frame was too thick, or too thin, or too wide, or too narrow, or too light, or too bold. She's been in before and she's such a ditherer! I just wanted to smack her forehead with a PD ruler! She wants varifocals as well, but there's no way i'm dispensing her varifocals. She'll have single vision readers and be happy with them!

Sorry to rant at you - but short of phoning one of my old friends from specsavers you're the only person I know who'll understand!

2Happy - you'll have to share the crap parent award with me too. Z picked up a knife (fortunately not a very sharp one) from the kitchen side yesterday and then wailed when i took it off him. No wonder knife crime is going up in the UK! We've also had the falling off chairs, tables, sofas...i'm not sure Z is even a human child - i think he may be part monkey!!

Wilkiepedia · 13/06/2008 19:49

UD you should have measured her PD wrong and then given her varifocals. That would have f*cked with her head

I used to avoid customers like that, like the plague!!

Wilkiepedia · 13/06/2008 19:50

Oh and I once tried to do a tonometer reading on a bloke, it wouldn't work and I just couldn't manage it when he piped up 'Erm, that's my GLASS eye...'

Reggiee · 13/06/2008 20:15

Evening. Anyone there?

wonderwomanakaeandh · 13/06/2008 20:24

I'm here, dh has football on again, I should be sorting washing but cant be bothered

wonderwomanakaeandh · 13/06/2008 20:27

oh and girls had fab time at my nans with my Mum they have come home with a gorgeous dress each from Asda (cream base with yellow/orange flowers very unusual and quirky my Nan has fab taste) and £30 each to pay in their savings accounts

Plus my friend who moved to USA last year is over here on holiday and bought ellies bday present from last year plus hattie's 1st present in, but I wasnt there so missed her, Ellie has a gorgeous deep purple sun dress and Hattie cropped trousers and smock top, now I need to catch up with her to give her her ds's present and an outfit for her dd who was born on boxing day (although I did send an outfit when she was born but it cost so much in postage )

Reggiee · 13/06/2008 20:34

Hi Eah. I asked dh earlier what was on tv tonight, and he said cricket, football and golf . Funnily enough, he is actually now playing golf on his PS3! At least I have avoided Big Borther (so far) this year. Series 1-7 I was a big fan, but can't be bothered with it anymore.
Asda have some really nice clothes. I bought lo a lovely sundress from there for a bargain £4 - it reminded me of the ones I used to wear when I was little!
UD - it takes me ages to choose which glasses to buy (you'd hate me as a customer ) as I can't see whether they look nice or not.

Reggiee · 13/06/2008 20:35

Wilkie - great name btw. Can we ask you anything now and you'll know the answer

wonderwomanakaeandh · 13/06/2008 20:36

I'll be glad when normal tv back

so what did you think of teh apprentcie, I texct laughalot and said Claire or Lee to win, I'm glad Lee won. Wasnt Helene a moany bitch?

Wilkiepedia · 13/06/2008 21:13

Hello I'm here too...

I thought Claire SHOULD have won, even though I didn't like her. Helene was a PITA!

Yes Reggiee, you can ask me anything and will have the answer

DH is watching the football after watching golf all day at work. MEN! Do my friggin head in.

Mind you, I did have a good old sob to 'Beaches' last night, god, I couldn't stop! Having a child of your own brings whole new meanings to films!!

BTW, anyone else PTSL at the tip of the day. EAH excluded, does anyone actually do that????

Reggiee · 13/06/2008 21:49

Agree re Helene, although if you saw the programme afterwards, to give her credit she did admit she seemed moany. Glad Lee won but agree Claire should have got it. Claire reminded me of Ruth Badger from Apprentice2.
Off to find the tip of the day....

Reggiee · 13/06/2008 21:52

PMSL wilkie As if it is hard to change a pillow case. Have you ever done that then Eah
Alternative tip - put two sheets on the bed so after rampant hard loving making lurve no-one has to sleep in the wet patch

Wilkiepedia · 13/06/2008 21:56

Alternatively, do the sex waddle to the bathroom to dispose of the milky love piss...you know the one, you have finished making lurve, DH legs it to the bathroom to grab loo roll whilst you lay in bed, attempting to look sexy and post-coital whilst squeezing your pelvic muscles hard to stop the slime dribbling onto the sheets. Then, DH returns clutching the loo roll which you clamp between you legs and hoist yourself off the bed, and off you waddle to the bathroom, loo roll still clutched between legs until you reach the safety of the bathroom...

Or is that just me??

TIP OF THE DAY (BTW) WAS: Put two or more pillow cases on your child's pillow when they have a cold and blocked nose, then when they have slimed all over the pillow during the night, it's a quick change - no fuss?!?!?!

WTF?

vinorouge · 13/06/2008 22:11

ErmI would just turn the pillow over so they had the clean side til morning!

Wilkie - the post sex waddle sounds famililar, tis the reason Iused to keep baby wipes in mybedside drawer....not much call for them these days though! Rest assured I will text you as soon as the baby is born!Bump is large now. People I don;t know are commenting on it. Wil get DHto take a pic. An electrician came to fit my new oven today and took one look at me and laughed. I was v pleased with him tho as thought he was just coming to give me a price but fitted it for £35 yippeee.

I wanted Claire to win but have to confess Lee reminded me abit of my first boyf so was quite pleaased for him.

DH went to ikea totnight to get furniture for babys room so we are going to set that up this weekend plus I have my new oven to test out. Will be making raspberry pine nut bars which are naughty but nice.

wilkie - rofl! you have such a way with words!
rgee - was that coffee maker a freebie from them or did you buy it after testing it??
eah - £600 for Butlins?? are they mad?!
Vino - Hope all is going well. My next door neighbour is now 6 days overdue, and going mad. They have been to the hospital about 5 times with various twinges but she keeps getting sent home again. With her DS1, he had a short umbilical cord so couldn't get out and she had to have an emergency C section. They cant pick out the length of the cord on a scan as its soft tissue, and she is really worried it could happen again. (the baby just ends up bouncing on the uterous trying to get out) I'd never heard of that at all until she told me. I'm sure its very rare though. She has a c'section booked for Wednesday. Apparently you can't have an induction if you have had a c-section before . I didn't know that either.

Right, best get my arse off to work. And try to get my target of store cards before they send me off to GE credit school to be re-taught how to sell them. (YES - really!) although, if they are willing to pay expenses etc for attending it, it could be a fun day out!
