Now paint your face blue, and stick your tongue out at the world - end especially the half-wit-mid-life-crisis-lacking-common-sense-PMT-suffering-eejits we otherwise call men.

eandh, ratbunny, susie, UD - this one's for you

heh - it's in the garden at the moment! It's his favourite thing though - he heads straight for it whenever we go out there so i can have a fag to play!

laughalot · 04/06/2008 18:53

Where are you all come and play ..........

Reggiee · 04/06/2008 19:44

Hi Lal. Was thinking the same

2Happy · 04/06/2008 19:47

Pah I am just 'pah' today am feeling sad as sold the pram I had for Ellie when she was a tiny tiny weeny baby, I remember being so excited ordering it and my parents let me have all the matching accessories and now its gone (I don't use it and it was in the way but still )

Reggiee · 04/06/2008 20:13

Eah are you getting broody ??

2H it's nearly APPRENTICE-time!! I love the interviews

wonderwomanakaeandh · 04/06/2008 20:45

no no no no just a little that the teemy weeny cuddly stage has gone and never to be repeated

My mum and dad just phoned to ask me to look for a holiday for next year online (friends 'big' birthday) and not only are they abandoning me over easter weekend when dh will be working, plus the school holidays they are awsay for my 30th birthday and thery hadnt even realised I have been winding them up a treat saying how they wouldnt have done that to their precious first born child and they have obviously fell for it as Mum just phoned back to see if they had flights available to come home that day I have said I was joking but have reserved weekend after birthday for them to have the kids all weekend (I can ask MIL to have them birthday weekend )

2Happy · 04/06/2008 20:54

Me too, Reg, but often reckon they could show more of the actual interviews. Did you watch the programme about the 5 remaining candidates?

eandh - someone at work thought I was pg today, I think my horrified reaction managed to convince them otherwise . Could not be less broody TBH. I think dh wants another one though!! So emotional to lose the teeny tiny things though...

Hi all. I am feeling huge. Sure I am about the size I was with Ruth at the end so I will probably be enormous by the time I go to a friends wedding at 37wks! and my hands and legs are swollen already. Think I will have to take my wedding rings off soon.

Ok winge over.

2happy- When I was about 7, we moved form Wales to scotland and becuase the systems are different, I had to go up a year and my sister had to go down. Luke would start in two years time in scotland too, and while I am worried about him starting school when he is only just 4, I have no clue what I would do with him for another year!

Also- I know that they are all different but before I put Luke and Ruth in the same room, I was getting up about 2-3 times with both of them seperately, so 4-6 times a night. Since they have been in the same room they have barely woken in the night, no bad dreams from Luke and Ruth doesnt seem to get up as much with her teeth (so suspect it could have been her waking up scared). That is the good part.

The bad part is that I am up earlier with them as if one wakes, they start to play and ther is no chance of getting them back to sleep again. Also, yesterday morning I went into the bedroom as heard them up, and Luke was standing on blankets that are next to the window and Ruth's cot and he was pulling the wall paper off and feeding it to Ruth! So good and bad!!

Loosh- That is terrible, and horrible to happen a the start of the holiday too. Maybe it would be worth contacting the organisation/people you booked it from to let them know what happened so that it doesnt happen to anyone else?

Wilkie- You are definately not worrying about nothing! Make sure that the incident is formally recorded and that both of you have a copy, and maybe it is worth visiting afew times when they dont know you are coming if you can just to make sure it was a one off!

Kat- Happy birthday for ds. Hope he had a lovely day.

Ratbunny- We went to see Thomas (think there is still a picture on my profile) and Luke loved it. Actually I had a good day too. Appart from being there at the start of the day and getting covered in black wet ash when they started the steam engine!

EAH- Have you looked at the behaviour threads about tantrums? There is some really good advice there and lots of sympathy! Luke is having more and more but he is still young enough to be pretty easily distracted esp with a bribe. Dreading when they get worse though as he is so big and strong, I have no idea how I would contain him if we were out!

Hi to everyone else. Hope alls well.

theAfkaUrbanDryad · 05/06/2008 19:40

evening all! Just thought i'd bump this back up on my threads list...nothing to report really, went to see a MNer today in Reading who has a 7.5 month baby who is extremely cute and we had a lovely day in the sunshine (although i think i've burned my back)

Still nothing from the Housing Association, don't know how long it's all going to take! Grr....

SmoothandWilkie · 06/06/2008 11:45

Hello all.

UD - how are things with you and DH at the moment? Did I miss something about the housing association?

Vino - not long to go now. Are you getting excited (or just fed up)

DH - nice to hear from you!! Have you any inkling of what you're having. I think a boy!

Reggie/2Happy - what do you reckon on the Apprentice then? I can't STAND Alex and not overkeen on Claire but think she will win.

EAH - How inconsiderate of your M&D although secretly I would have been a bit annoyed actually! But then I am like that

Erm, erm erm - have I missed anyone else?? Sorry if so...

Things to report:

Got my new car, gorgeous and sexy. I LOVE IT. It had NO miles on it when we got it so I was loathe to drive it and add mileage. DH being ultra annoying though and keeps polishing the little marks off it all the time. Won't last long!

House SHOULD be complete on 27/06 but I will believe it when I see it. The mortgage comapny are dragging their heels with the survey which is SO frustrating as everyone is ready to go!

Have found J a new nursery where we are moving to, it is LOVELY and he starts there in August.

Not much else to report. At work and you lot seem to have disappeared today.

wonderwomanakaeandh · 06/06/2008 12:03

Wilkie - was thinking about you this morning and wondering where you had dissapeared to, glad you got nursery sorted and fingers crossed for the 27th June.

Update on Mum & Dad, Mum was in town earlier (shes got the girls today as IL's going on holiday) and they booked their holiday and are coming back on my birthday (late on a friday evening) so they can have the girls on the saturday night I was joking when I said it but Mum said they didnt mind and they'll have another holiday later in the year (although she is kindly arranging that around Ellie starting school so that she can pick her up for me one day a week in late spetember) I love my Mum

Not much else to report, E&H now have proper physical fights normally Hattie pulling Ellies hair or hitting her and Ellie picking Hattie up and shutting her in another room

UD - did you post your message 3 times to bump the thread

I think DH having a boy and Vino a girl

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm cant think what else to type about (am in a meeting at the moment and meant to be typing the minutes but they are waffling at the mo )

Reggiee · 06/06/2008 13:34

Eah pmsl that you are mn-ing whilst in a meeting
Hi Wilkie. YOu have been busy in your absence.

Just a quick post to say I'm about to head off on my first weekend away with dh and some friends, and leaving lo with grandparents . Can't wait! I'm booked in to the all spa tomorrow afternoon whilst dh plays golf.

BTW lo is ridiculously cute at the moment, she is unbelievably gorgeous, but I am beginning to see the start of things to come .... tantrums ahoy....

Catch up next week. I hope there's lots of posts to come back to.
Have good weekends.

theSuburbanDryad · 06/06/2008 18:09

Heh - i'm not sure what happened when i posted 3 times! Bizarre...

I'm applying for HA house at the moment on the basis that dh and i are splitting up and there's no way in hell I'll be able to rent privately. But i haven't even had a letter acknowledging my application yet! Anyone got any idea how long these things take?

Vino - Z is being very cute lately, but has already started the tantrums! I literally have no idea what sets him off, but i think it's because he can't always communicate his wants/needs! The signing helps though - i sign to him what i think might the problem (hungry/thirsty etc) and then he seems to remember he can do it! Strange child!

2Happy · 06/06/2008 19:48

Ah well, wilkie, send him off to polish the car, gives you more time for MNing! Glad to hear about the new nursery
Reggie - have a lovely weekend. When you get back we must sort meetup plans out!
DH - that's really interesting about R and L. Will probably end up getting a bed for ds2 sooner or later (before he breaks the cot like ds1 did!)
Loosh - I've got ds's cup, BTW. You left it at AB's, and dh was going to drop it off on monday as he had a horse visit near Seahouses - but of course that plan didn't work out (yeah, like dh would ever have remembered anyway!!!). Do you want me to post it?
UD - did he do the whole Cornwall "time to think" () thing? I take it if he did it didn't change anything
eandh - also PMSLing at you MNing during a meeting!

IL's took the boys for a bit today, so i went for a walk in the hills which was lovely. feel a bit odd this evening, not sure if it's my body going into shock at getting exercise or the bug I have ATM. I have totaly lost my voice, which is great for the kids - ds1 "can't hear" when I tell him not to do something . Humph. dh is watching the apprentice, which I've already seen, so I'll spend the evening on MN

Hi all. Not had chance to catch up for a few days/week.....but here now. Can't sleep, is the start of a few weeks of broken sleep before the birth? i had that last time.

I went to bed at 10 after a long day at a wedding but then was awake again about midnight and got up at 1 cos I needed a wee (again) and soem gaviscon. Going to do some ironing now but thought I'd mn first.

I am a bit fed up now cos bump is so heavy and sticks out ridiculousl. Come on little one!

Had lovely day at the wedding and the cake I'd helped make looked gorgeous but am not so sure on taste of the bits I made. Had a terrible time making it and spent most of the time crying. Never offering to do that again.
