March 2007: Babies no longer: the road to Toddlerdom

1000 replies

MrLSG · 01/05/2008 22:50

MrsLSG suggested it, so her it is...

I've observed that calling Toby a baby isn't really accurate anymore, he (as one of the younger March babies - actually being born in April) is now toddlering (or is that staggering?), hence the title of the thread.

Sorry if Dad's aren't allowed around here: But Toby just loved joining in garden football with his big brother and dad earlier tonight.

Rosylily · 27/06/2008 10:28

ooh Foxy that skirt is gorgeous and a fantastic bargain!

look what else you can get on ebay!

Kitty it was so lovely to watch Ronnie's birth!
Aww, it was so much more meaningfull than any old birth story because it was you. It really brought it all back.
And by the way you were looking lovely in the film. I know you were tired in some of the shots but generally you were looking really pretty. (And your house is fabulous of course)

Rosylily · 27/06/2008 10:34

Sponge that was a brilliant sleep through!

Rosylily · 27/06/2008 11:05

Divastrop · 27/06/2008 11:33

foxyat you being a size 10!

why is your dh being an arse?

hi sponge

evenhope · 28/06/2008 12:29

Hi all, just got back from a week in the Netherlands. Just read the thread but there's far too much to catch up with!

DD had a great week, there were fish and ducks and goats, sheep, donkeys on the park. The first time she saw the baby goats she squatted down next to them making kissing noises

She also entertained everyone in the bar by dancing to the live entertainment, especially when she incorporated "head shoulders knees and toes" into it.

All animals make a baaing noise with a wide-opened mouth, and other than "up up" and "dat" she still doesn't speak.

We hired bicycles because our villa was so far away from everything else. DS got a baby-seat on the back of his. We put her on it and he set off with her wailing like a fire-engine all the way, looking like a rag-doll from the back. When we caught up she looked at me with a drooping lip and said "mum-mum-mum up-up-up". After that DH hired a bike with a burley and she was happy to sit in that.

Piffle · 28/06/2008 21:35

at breaks away evenhope!!!
omg
Finn self weaned off boob...

Rosylily · 29/06/2008 08:53

Evenhope your trip sounds really fabulous. lol at the antics of your little dd

Piffle I'm sure you are a bit sad about the end of breast feeding. I will be sorry when Hasan stops though I would like him to show a little less interest at this stage! how is your new kitchen coming along?

I had a fabulous day yesterday at a summer festival. the kids had a ball, managed to drag dh along and he enjoyed it. I bumped into an old friend who I used to have the serious hots for and it was so great to see him again.
Best of all I spent the afternoon learning to drum, samba style and I loved it! Really want to join a samba band now

spongecake · 29/06/2008 21:13

your day sounds lovely rosy, esp the drumming am also still bf but think/ hope he is losing interest-did a exploratory squeeze the other day and covered ds face with milk

have loads of stuff on ebay in attempt to pay for holiday. we will be spending the time in the park at this rate

waves to all, have admin to do...

Rosylily · 30/06/2008 07:42

Reverssy/ fellow dr who freaks fans I'm suffering an anxiety attack....is David tennant leaving dr who? (weep)

Piffle · 30/06/2008 12:26

seems inescapable conclusion after Saturdays episode rosy
trés sad indeed if so...
Finn has his first pointy dog teeth through. Teeth number 13&14
these were buggers he has been so grumpy
he demanded his boob back last night!!!!! 5 days off it, presumably down to teething then?
still only one feed a day but nice for us.
he is mental climber atm up on toilet seat, then on the cistern then attepting the windowsill
my hiding place for my cleaning stuff [sigh]
he is a menace at times!!
But gorgeous beyond words at all times!

kiwibella · 30/06/2008 13:48

Piffle... Kate is also a climber and the toilet a fav obstacle! However, my girl is clearly nuts because she always lifts up the toilet seat before climbing on to it. You'd think this effort would be easier without a big hole in the middle.... needless to say, we try to keep the bathroom door closed now.

Glad that everyone has been enjoying the sunshine this weekend . Evenhope, your holiday sounds delish - I love the thought of your girl whirring behind on her bro's bike!!! She's so clever with her action songs

Hope you all have a lazy Monday .

kittywise · 30/06/2008 13:55

hello all, hope you all had a fab weekend

Piffle for you, I'm not ready to give up bf, no way, luckily Ron is still as obsessed as ever!

Evenhope, sounds like a great holiday, must have been great to cycle round everywhere.

Rosy, have you read "journey of souls"?
Ds1 says DT is not leaving yet he makes a copy of himself or something. ds1 seems to be the font of all knowledge regarding dr who

Rosylily · 01/07/2008 08:09
