post? as in Royal Mail kind? nothing of that sort here...

I'm at work, you'll just have to wait for all the details

I had good fun though, we went out just us Friday night, then he came to football Saturday, we went on a pub crawl bike ride Sunday, and played in the garden on Monday. Nothing terribly exciting but it was really nice to have someone to share things with.

sorry, almost got soppy there

bil phoned an hour before i'm due to drop off dc to say they couldn't have them. No idea why, he was fighting back tears so hope all is ok with them

Am now a bit worried that i'll have to find alternative childcare, which i won't be able to afford

sorry to be self-sbsorbed, again

Eddas · 07/05/2008 13:03

i need someone to give me a virtual slap please

as i said in my last post bil phoned and said can't have dc today and said something like they had a problem, was fighting back tears. My overactive imagination is coming into play and i'm now thinking they can't have dc anymore. Now he didn't mention one thing about the dc, not one. But i've had a feeling for a while it's quite hard for sil coping with them all. But we have always said to just tell us and we'll sort it out(ie find an alternative) but she's not the osrt to tell me. When I got back from picking up dd there was a missed call from them so I rang back(have rung a few times now) and they're not answering. Now i've convinced myself the problem is with caring for my dc because i'm sure sil would leave it to bil to break the news so to speak.

Please tell me to stop being silly and get on with something until they ring me back. It's driving me nuts, or rather I am driving myself nuts.

Pisha · 07/05/2008 13:22

Stop being silly and get on with something until they ring you back!!

Would BIL be close to tears though if it was just that they couldn't have your dc anymore? I would think more its that they've had a problem at their end and couldn't have them today. Surely if they were going to say they couldn't do it anymore it would be a clam, considered phone call and BIL would have a speech worked out explaining why they felt they couldn't and how sorry they were etc etc, not just a teary call?!

Pisha · 07/05/2008 13:23

Oh, forgot

Is that better?!

Eddas · 07/05/2008 13:27

yes you're probably right, see i knew i needed a slap I just need something to take my mind off it.

Thing is in i'm in a house with a 3 yo and 1yo so no-one to tell me to stop being silly hence the need for mn. tis my saviour some days

Eddas · 07/05/2008 13:30

you're right with the cloe to tears thing. and i'm sure they wouldn't just let me donw now, they'd say once you find something. Or i'd hope they would.

My imagination just gets the better of me if i don't know why. I just imagine why IYSWIM. I'm a nightmare with uncertainty. I've always hated it. Probably why I still live where i grew up and why i didn't want to go to uni

Also, re not answering their phoen, they do sometimes have problems with it, so i may be really being silly. I'll probably be too to post the reason once i know it

anyway sorry to go on

geordieminx · 07/05/2008 13:57

Do you think they have just had a row or something Eddas? Thats what I would think.

Anytime is good for me - just need to hand over the helm to S pot and off we go!!!

StealthPolarBear · 07/05/2008 15:03

"One of them asked me what I do with the babies when I take the older ones to school "

WTF?>? Was that meant to imply you couldn't cope with the school run??
Eddas - very weird! You have done all you can saying they need to tell you, I bet as Gm said they had had a row. Hope it is nothing more serious.
Lucewheel - you poor thing, S still not sleeping any better? :-(

StealthPolarBear · 07/05/2008 15:06

I need help:

Dear Owner,

Please accept this letter as notice of our intention to take Tristan out of XXX nursery, effective immediately.

Yours sincerely,

I need a summary sentence which is nice enough (they have been fantastic with this - "sorry to hear that, we'll keep him on our books etc so if you want to bring him back...") but we are obviously taking him out as we are unhappy. Something along the lines of "Thank you for the care you have provided Tristan while he has been with you" but that is too much iyswim. Any ideas?

geordieminx · 07/05/2008 15:16

Dear Owner of crap nursery;

Please accept this letter as notice that we shall be terminatig our contract with you, with immediate effect.

I would like to take this oportunity to thank you for the csre that you have provided over the past 2 months (ALTHOUGH REALLY IT HAS BEEN SHIT AND I WOULDNT ENTRUST MY NEIGHBOURS DOG IN YOUR CARE).

Kind Regards

Stealtbbear

StealthPolarBear · 07/05/2008 15:21

lol
Shall I just send you round?

geordieminx · 07/05/2008 15:27

StealthPolarBear · 07/05/2008 15:31

Stressed?

geordieminx · 07/05/2008 15:32

just a bit fecked off with life in general...

Sexonlegs · 07/05/2008 17:07

Hi folks

Oh GM you sound in a black mood. Anything in particular or just life in general?

Eddas, sounds a bit strange re your bil. Hope all is ok.

SPB, re letter:

Please accept this letter as notice of our intention to take Tristan out of XXX nursery, effective immediately.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Best wishes for the future.

Yours sincerely,
SPB

How is everyone else?

MJ, where are you??? Got roped in to fishing with dh??

Ange, how is Izzy now?

Luce, hope S is over his sick bug.

All ok here.

Too hot though!! I think it is the extremes. Last week it was 8 degrees and raining. This week, it is 24 degrees and boiling hot.

Supposed to be starting aerobics again tonight after not having been for years. The thought of it fills me with horror! Esp in this heat.

geordieminx · 07/05/2008 17:14

No, nothing in particular SOL - just fecked off with life in general.

C been whingey and clingy and wouldnt have a nap. Ended up sticking him in the bath for half an hour with all his toys to keep him occupied!!! Seem to work right enough!!

Weather is glorious here too - I certainly wouldnt want to be doing anything aerobic!!!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 07/05/2008 17:17

SPB - I have no idea....think he was just curious as to how I managed!
