Hi, i think i should post this on April Thread as well! thank you very much to everyone who has left me a message

Hi everyone. Want to share something with you all. I am pregnant, in fact, i am just over 11 wks pregnant. I decided to keep quiet becos I was under massive pressure, as you know, theres 1 in 4 that the baby will have EB like Jim Jim, 2 in 4 that the baby will not have EB but a carrier like me and Martin, or 1 in 4 that the baby will not have EB and not even a carrier of the faulty gene if the baby has inherited both good genes from the parents. Jim Jim had two bad ones from each of us, he was affected. This time round, i was under massive pressue, went to have CVS last Thursday at PRM, the sample was then sent down to St.Thomas hospital in London, they told us it could take up to a week....honestly, it's a nerve wracking experience, I couldn't sleep properly for the last 6 nights, a day felt like a year, even this morning i woke up thinking what if the baby is affected, can I cope? will i cope? and you know, second time round is just very difficult, every pregnancy is unique, theres a possibily that the baby will be affected again...

Today I phoned my midwife at PRM at around 3pm, she said they haven't received anything from the Lab, will keep chasing, then I phoned my EB nurse, her phone was switched off, then i left a message...at around 4pm, my EB nurse phoned me...then my midwife phoned me as well....she said, you are having a baby girl and she's fine, not only she's fine, she has no EB gene at all, the bad gene didn't pass on, it stops here...I couldn't speak for a while, I was over the moon, then started crying..happy tears I suppose.

It was Jim Jim's birthday on Monday but he gave Mummy the biggest gift in life, I just want to say thank you for everyones support over the past year and I also want to let you all know that this baby girl is going to be a very special girl, shes due in Nov, we will have a very special Christmas this year!

Oh what lovely news Vio!! Don't go tiring yourself out on that walk now (i.e. walk slowly)!

GM - don't worry, we all know what you mean.

Okay, back to the grindstone. Those of you who work full time must be superwomen - I only do 20 hours, and that's from home, and there is stil NO TIME!

Sorry to have been absent for a day or two. To be honest I've had two dreadful days at work (B's fine though) but today I am feeling more positive about everything. Especially as we have exchanged contracts on our move!!! I'm so excited At work at lunch so no time to catch up but I've seen Vio's wonderful news - will just pop over to the thread! Back later

Fab news Vio! I am so pleased for you. Your post made me well up too. Lots of love to you xxx

Ellie, glad you all had a good time in Center Parcs. Hope CD is enjoying herself a bit more now

Pesha, do you really want 4 children?!

Runny, so glad your little problem turned out to be nothing untoward

Thanks to you all for being so nice to me. I am trying to put it to the back of my mind for now. I will save the stress for when I get a proper date through!! I am controlling the pain with diet just now, only get niggly pain mostly so I can live with that. Just hope it stays that way until the op comes round!

Hey ladies- been a very emotional day, especially after Vio';s wonderful news.

Took C for his first haircut this morning - he went beserk. Little short for my liking - but he looks so grown up now - I cried. again.

Off to baby sensory, after the few little steps that he has been doing over the past few days he decided to walk the entire length of the hall to the front of the class. Very proud mummy - I cried. Again.

Took him to be weighed at 12 months. 24lb. Didnt cry - thank god - but I could have

I am such a sap!!!!

Hi loves

Posted on the other thread, but also wanted to say a huge congratulations Vio. Fabulous news

NL, I wondered where you had got to. Glad you are feeling happier today and fab news about the exchange.

Oooggs, enjoy the party!

Hi MJ, glad your pains are not too bad. Still hoping to meet up at the end of August

GM, bless your heart Have a tissue

Hi everyone else - forgotten everything else - B is sat next to me talking incessantly.

Had a lovely day today. B's school was closed as it is being used as a polling station. A bit of a pita as Thursday is a work day. However, spent 5 hours at the farm feeding and holding animals, so can't complain. K in nursery so just me and B which is a rarity.

How is everyone?

GM - bless you crying all day. I agree with MJ, I am definitely much more emotional than I was pre-dc.

SOL - glad you had a nice day with B.

NL - sorry you've had a rough couiple of days at work but glad you're feeling more positive today.

Luce - glad you're enjoying the new pushchair, I love getting new pushchairs!! I do want the truth about having 4 dc! TBH I don't want 4 children but I still want to have another one if that makes any sense I'm 50/50, part of me would love to do it all again but another part feels like it would be going backwards to go through all that and wants to move forward. Not that its an option atm so not much point thinking about it really! Doesn't stop me getting broody though!

Oooggs - hope Jump was fun.

MJ - gald you're still managing to control pain with diet

Lol at Ellie and Elkie sat at their desks crying!!

I am and today. Insurance company sent us an email last thursday at half 3 saying they had made settlement payment by BACS and it would be cleared in 3-5 working days. Today is 5 days so had planned to go collect new car but no bloody money I rang up several times and spoke to several different people who said one person had put payment to go through but isn't senior enough to authorise that amount of money so had sent upstairs for them to do it and they hadn't Finally managed to speak to team leader who went running up and down stairs and to various different people and managed to get them to agree to make payment to go into bank account tomorrow by 12 and is going to keep checking all morning and will ring me if it goes in sooner so hopefully will be able to get my car tomorrow. If not I'm a bit stuck as we cant all go in J's car together as only 4 seat belts Don't get me started on that!!

I'm beginning to suspect we have a ghost!! At weekend when Ellie was here I put 8 choc mini rolls in a bag with a box of biscuits to take to party and left them there. Came back to it and all mini rolls had vanished Ellie, J and I all intensively questioned Matthew and Nathan (Maia was with her dad) and they seemed genuinely not to know what had happened and still no sign of mini rolls or wrappers anywhere. I suppose it is possible the dog ate them but seems highly unlikely that he would eat all 8 including wrappers without moving the bag they were in at all or leaving any trace.
Then Tuesday I bought Nath a pack of 5 pairs of new socks, he took them upstairs but next morning they had vanished. He tells me he used the lid of the dirty washing basket to try and get the hook off but couldn't so left them all there. The lid of the dirty washing basket is now placed neatly on top of a box on top of the wardrobe in my room, way out of N's reach. I didn't put it there and J says he didn't. No sign of the socks anywhere Things keep 'vanishing' in this house, I currently have no idea where my driving licence is!
