Evening lassies

Balls SPB to man flu Hope both your men are as right as rain soon. Pmsl at who's our Union?? We need one!

Oooggs, lovely pics indeed. J really looks so grown up.

GM, your holiday sounded fab, and your photos are lovely too. C is a gorgeous looking little boy

NL, hope you are ok. The thought of going back to work is probably worse than the reality although I appreciate things have gone on. Hope it all goes ok.

POTC, Justin's ex girlfriend sounded like an insecure and jealous nutcase. Can't believe she had a go at you for breastfeeding!! ope you are ok today and having a fab time with Pesha.

CD, where are you off to on your hols?

MJ, hope you are ok today and not in too much pain.

Have probably missed loads, but can't remember anything else.

Had a lovely day. Like Runny, we spent all day outside which was fab. Now exhausted having spent the last hour and a half ironing whilst dh sat on his arse reading "Car" magazine! Hey ho.

Hope everyone is well and having a lovely weekend. Off to bed now. B has alredy woken up complaining of a sore finger and K sounds really snuffly tonight so I am excpecting a disturbed night. Could be wrong.....

Night gorgeous mummies. xx

StealthPolarBear · 26/04/2008 22:36

Anyway, as I have had a glass (or two) of wine and am feeling sentimental I just want to apologise again for being completely self obsessed for the last month. I've really hated T being ill and now DH being pathetic ill is just the icing on the cake. But we were talking about it and it really made me think about how it must be to have a child with a serious or long term illness - for a start it would be 1000 times worse than a bit of poo, but also, to have no light at the end of the tunnel, or hope for a quick fix Really made me count my blessings, a normally healthy family.
Well now I've made you all miserable I think tonight would be a good time to post on the catch up thread. Off for another glass of wine for inspiration.

StealthPolarBear · 26/04/2008 22:38

Hi SOL
oooggs I missed your photos, J looks like a very handsome young man

geordieminx · 26/04/2008 22:48

SPB - Probably going to be 27-29th May? I know what you mean about thinking of poorly children..... every time I get fed up of C teething or whatever, or get upset when he is in pain I think of people like Vio and what she must have gone through

Lovely pics oooggss... Is E walking yet? Dont think you have mentioned it - if not s she fed up that J is away and she isnt? Or is she taking full advantage and letting him do all the fetching and carrying?

Off to the baby show tomorrow - went last year - 3 days before I had C

weeonion · 26/04/2008 22:49

gmm - u meeting us at 10?

geordieminx · 26/04/2008 22:52

StealthPolarBear · 26/04/2008 22:59

Just having a little cry after reading and posting on the catch up thread.

StealthPolarBear · 26/04/2008 22:59

catch up thread for anyone who needs it

StealthPolarBear · 26/04/2008 23:00

That wasn't meant to come across as "all go and read my post" - I promise!! I just had to search for ages as it doesn't have 2007 in the title so I thought I'd post a link

geordieminx · 26/04/2008 23:06

Awh thats lovely SPB.

C isnt talking at all... infact thats a lie he says AAAAAAAA Bu, ba ba ba, C and ggggggg.... obviously not in the order

StealthPolarBear · 26/04/2008 23:12

T does tend to communicate in amusing Homer Simpson style grunts "arrrrughhhhh???" can indicate surprise, questioning or amusement, depending on the context!
Well, better go to bed, no doubt he will be up and in our bed in half an hour or so. Kids eh, who'd have em?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 27/04/2008 01:02

Evenin' all
We have been out for a drink or two, Jamie and me are quite sober, Pesha is pished
The journey down was really good, did it in 3.5 hours which is less than usual, M3 was closed but I rang my friend (see below) and he talked me through a diversion and got me here safely

I'm really happy at the mo, a little confused too, but hoping that once everything 'comes out in the wash' that I might have found someone that makes me very happy. I miss him loads when we're apart and he's very very nice to me and the boys

Pesha is on the phone to SofaBoy at the moment

Happy Birthday Tristan!!!!!

Hope you have a lovely day together

Morning all.

What is going on with the weather. Sunshine and 21 degrees yesterday.

Today, huge thunder and lightning and a bucket load of rain

POTC, really glad you are having a good time with Pesha, or should that be Pisha????
So, spill the beans.... whose the man??

All ok here. K seems to have gunky eyes again which is a pita, and B is just being a pita. No idea what to do today.

Right, better go, as dh is having a hellish time with the 2 of them upstairs.

Back later. x

StealthPolarBear · 27/04/2008 10:08

Hope your day picks up SOL

mammyjo · 27/04/2008 10:35

Morning all.

Happy Birthday Tristan!
SPB, I hope you all have a really lovely day today, lovely post on the catch up thread too

POTC, are we talking about sofa man or someone else? Either way, your post was lovely, gave me that warm and fuzzy feeling iykwim!! I am a sucker for that lovey kind of stuff

Pesha, hope the headache isn't too bad

Thats it, can't remember any more. Haven't taken pain killers for 24 hours which is fab. Seeing the surgeon on Wednesday, so am hoping that I can control my symptoms with diet in the meantime then hopefully not have to wait too long for a surgery date (eek).

mammyjo · 27/04/2008 10:36

SOL, weather is crap here too. Pouring with rain. Ds slept over MIL's last night, picking him up around lunchtime. No idea what to do this afternoon either with such rubbish weather.

penpotEca · 27/04/2008 10:47

Hullo everyone! Had a quick catch up...

SPB - HAPPY BIRTHDAY T!!!!!! . Hope the poor little mite is feeling better now.

MJ - Sorry to hear about your gall bladder probs and impending op. Makes me sooo that people have to wait so long. Seems so wrong that people who are ill and in pain have to face the stress of waiting around. Anyway, I hope things get moving for you soon and you're managing to cope with it all. xxx

Dooby - congrats!!! woo hoo!! Sounds a very exciting time!

NL - well, what can I say! Really, I've only popped back to make sure you remember who I am now you are climbing the mn ladder to fame!!! Will be thinking of you at work tomorrow, hope it all goes ok. xx

GMM - Had a look at the pics and all i can say is... !! That pool looks LURVLY!! C is as cute as ever!!

POC - That's awful how she behaved!!!! You were feeding you BABY!!!! Hope you are not too shaken and enjoying a day with the lovely Pesha.

SOL - Hope you are finding something to do today!

CD - What's wrong babe?

Hi everyone else, haven't meant to miss anyone, brain can't hold anything else!

We're doing ok-ish. T has been poorly sick for a couple of days now (feels like a week!) with a high fever and shakes. It's horrible seeing him ill. I know it's just a virus, but I panic anyway! He's been sleeping in with me and daddy's been on the floor. Poor love is waking up ever 1-2 hours. I'm shattered!!

He had his 1st birthday last friday and had a lovely day, got spoilt and kept grinning and giggling knowing that something special was afoot! I did him us a chocolate sachertorte cake. It was de-lish!

No sign of walking here! He's quite happy crawling to where he wants to go.

Work and PhD are as pressing as ever. I'm on a massive catch-up because of the time off I had when my friend died. Ahhhhh!! And now the house looks like something of Kim and Aggie because T's been ill!

I would just love a month that felt "normal"... I don't know if I even know what that means anymore!

penpotEca · 27/04/2008 10:50

ooo, we've still got the sunshine here. Hope it lasts!
