Here's something to cheer me up though a gorgeous house - shame it's a bit out of our budget

mammyjo · 26/04/2008 15:45

Hi all. Quick visit!

NL, you will be fine on Monday. It will be hard for you, but you are a strong woman and you can rise above any crap!

GM, gorgeous pics of your holiday. C is very cute!

POTC, I hope you are ok today. What an absolute loon that xgf is. She was probably just completely jealous and had no idea how to handle it. At least big J did the right thing!

Off now, busy day xx

CaptainDippy · 26/04/2008 17:16

Oh NL

CaptainDippy · 26/04/2008 17:18

I am sooo shattered. No appetite Need to pack for hols next week ..... sigh ....

Eddas · 26/04/2008 17:53

HI ladies, not caught up i have a question i need help with please, it's a night out dilemma.....

It's a birthday night out for a friend tonight, not a special birthday or anything. All of the group are childless accept me, they've all been out since about 2-3, i couldn't go at that time because of the children(dh working) and they had said they'd be in town by 8.30(ish) now it's changed til 9.30 and tbh i'm knackered and am going to drive, they'll all be pissed and I really don't feel like going. I know I should go but they won't notice (group is probably 10-15 people) If they were meeting at 8.30 i'd planed to stay til 10-11 and now won't be able to leave til later.

so my questions are, should I go? and if not what can be my excuse?

Dh has been stocktaking this weekend and i've already told my friend that's why I couldn't make it during the day, that and the amount of money it'd cost but am fed up using that excuse even thought it's the truth anyway i'd thought i could text now and tell her that dh won't finish it til later than he'd thought, maybe 10ish, so i can't go

cazboldy · 26/04/2008 18:16

tbh Eddas I would just tell them the truth. They will understand one day when they have kids!

StealthPolarBear · 26/04/2008 18:25

NL I bet actually waiting and thinking about going back is worse than your first day!
Eddas, no help, sorry, but I know how you feel. Can you go, maybe for just an hour or so? On the other hand, will they definitely be where they said they will be at 9.30 after drinking all day? Would you end up hanging around on your own waiting?

StealthPolarBear · 26/04/2008 19:20

oh ffs now DH has sever man flu
When are we all going to get back to normal?
I need a break

runnyhabbit · 26/04/2008 19:21

Just popping in quickly, as dh wants to use the computer

Weather has been so fab today - spent most of it outside. The boys even had their lunch al fresco

potc Can't believe what I'm going to say next but - fairplay to big J. Hope you're ok.

StealthPolarBear · 26/04/2008 21:43

Pillock has just texted to say she has been following a car which starts with T end ends in SPB
Well T went back into his own cot for the first night in about a week - it lasted about an hour and he's currently asleep in his car seat ...
mammyjo, do we have a union? I want to complain!!! T seems much better thanks, sleeping not very well during the day so very grouchy this afternoon but we think that was mainly tiredness rather than pain/discomfort. Has been sick a couple of times today, once a tiny bit after he'd been running round like a mad thing, once when he was choking on calpol - BAD MUMMY!
GMM - did I read C is walking now?? Wow!
Off to look at photos.

StealthPolarBear · 26/04/2008 21:44

what a cutie!!

StealthPolarBear · 26/04/2008 21:45

i want a little walking one too!

geordieminx · 26/04/2008 21:46

Yep walking now - most he has done is about 9 steps but he has figured he can do it so there is no stopping him.

Thanks SPB - He takes after his mammy

Oh are you back F/T work?

StealthPolarBear · 26/04/2008 21:54

Almost ft - 33 hrs in 4 days

StealthPolarBear · 26/04/2008 22:32
