mypandasgotcrabs · 27/06/2008 20:29

Hey hey! Well guess who got refused alcohol in chavs r us today!!! Wouldn't have bothered me had it been anywhere other than asda, and then the wkd cost me £2 more in the kwiki-mart than it would have done, but hey if I really look under 21 then I'm happy with that lol.

My weekend off so I'm gonna have a quiet night tonight, relax in the bath later, hair cut tomorrow & hitting Pompey in my new dress & shoes tomorrow!

Hope everyone's ok xx

mypandasgotcrabs · 28/06/2008 15:08

I have new hair & I love it! My bf is coming round when she finishes work, we have wine & cheesy music to help us get ready. Really looking forward to tonight.

I should be putting wardrobes together, but the wonderful, lovely delivery man came when I was out for 10 minutes. I knew he would come then, they always do...I swear they watch your house & wait until you go out! Had expected him to leave them with a neighbour, but oh no, that's too easy isn't it! So when they do arrive, they'll be sat in boxes for a fortnight until I can put them together on my next weekend without the boys. Grr!

Hey Panda - photos of your new hair!? (please!? )
Just a quick post from me - T is exhausted and sparked out in bed - he fell asleep earlier on the way back from mil's, we had been round to a 1st birthday party and spent all afternoon outside so he was shattered.....he didn't want any tea (tho he had been grazing all day)and didn't really wake enough for his bath - so it was just upstairs and ready for bed and straight down! bless him!!

Hope you are all well? really really must post some more photos on Yahoo - but just never seem to get the time.....typical of my life at the minute!

Am thinking ofyou all....just don't get on here much at the moment - sorry

Hope to get on again soon,

B

Rodeo · 28/06/2008 22:20

Hi Brownie! I'm here too Thanks for the message on FB, was having profile pic trauma, testing out new one but old one has vanished!
Hope you have a wicked night Panda! You'll feel all swish with your new hair!
Chacha, glad you are back safe Not long now hey?!
Beks, I'm getting a big bogged down with all the PTA stuff at the mo, though always busy at this time of year, so shouldn't complain!
Right off to lounge on sofa, just watching Amy Winehouse at Glasto, I'm mesmerised! All this talk of Blake she's doing - it's better than Heat! Night x

mypandasgotcrabs · 29/06/2008 10:49

Hi, had a great night last night, have put pics on fb for those of you on there, and have added a pic of my hair on here for a limited time for those who aren't x

novadandypowder · 29/06/2008 20:05

From what I can see your hair looks lovely Panda. Nothing like a good cut to make you feel like a new person. I've currently got my fringe up in one of noos grips as it's far too long. Am due at the hairdressers on tues though, so not much longer to wait...must...step..away...from the scissors...

Beks, sorry, should have acknowledged your post in my last one. Sorry to hear you're feeling a bit blue. I'm not very good at motivational posts, but sending cyber hugs your way .

Chacha, glad you're back with us now, food poisoning does not sound like a fun way to end your holiday. Bet it'll be nice to put your feet up and do some nesting.

Lovely to see you drop in too Brownie, it's nice to get an update no matter how brief.

Rodeo, I love watching the Glasto coverage. I have a friend who goes every year, and they even had the tables at their wedding named after the stages/areas. DH and I were sat in Lost Vagueness! My pole dance teacher is there this year doing some contemporary dance performances.

Beach house was lovely, but very windy! Noo and miniman are into full on wrestling now, although I have to stop her from sitting on his head and him from pulling her hair. They get on so well, I love watching them play together. They kept raiding the cupboards and I'd find them sat on the kitchen floor eating cereal out of the box. Dh's parents are now living nearby so we saw a bit of them, and they'll be quite handy to have around in the future if we need things done at the house.

mypandasgotcrabs · 29/06/2008 22:16

OMG OMG OMG OMG

Had to tell someone. Its too late to phone anyone but G2 wants us to start seeing each other. I don't think I've ever been as happy as I am right now!

novadandypowder · 30/06/2008 10:56

See Panda, get a new haircut and all hell breaks loose! Glad you're happy

BTKsmum · 30/06/2008 12:30

Lol Panda I see you've gone for the bad boy Hair looks great by the way really suits you.

Have had a fab but very busy weekend, went to a Magic dinner on Saturday night, which was funny as we bought the tickets off one of our friends as he couldn't go and he'dcancelled them so my friend and I ended up on a table for two at the back - doh!

Dh took me out for dinner for my b'day last night, I'm not another year older till next weekend but we thought we'd make the most of it while my folks are around.

Have just had great fun with T doing finger and feet painting then I plonked him on the kitchen worktop with his hands and feet in the sink and he's had a ball getting clean

Chacha good to see you back safe and sound.

Love to all Beks

ChaCha · 30/06/2008 15:27

Hi girls,

Panda - Really good to see you so happy, you enjoy every minute of it and have fun!
Nova - Miniman & Noo sound lovely together and lol at them raiding the cupboards, how sweet!
BTKS - Dinner out sounds good, you sound brighter too. Bet T had loads of fun.
Hi to Rodeo and BB and everyone else.

Posting more than usual in the ante-natal section as i'm pretty sure my moans and groans are best saved for there. Now in my last month and really, really looking forward to having this baby.

DS2 isn't too well, sickness and diarrhea and kept us up from 2.30am until just before 6, typical as we'd returned home at 11pm and stayed up a while. Hoping he is better asap and that DS1 stays well.
Was sat on sofa rubbing my bump this morning (limbs pushing through my ribs and was trying to make breathing space) when DS1 comes and sits next to me and says 'T-shirt down mummy, baby getting cold' and pulls my t-shirt down, i then laugh and say 'oh baby, you're so sweet' and he looks at me and says 'me like it me sweety, want it sweety, in da bag mummy, go get it' LOL

Talk soon x

mypandasgotcrabs · 30/06/2008 19:37

lol, I'm soooo happy it's silly. He's coming round again later tonight. Can't wait to see him, keep checking his texts to make sure i'm not imagining it! Will fill you in properly later & catch up with everyone elses news properly.

OP posts:
mypandasgotcrabs · 01/07/2008 19:57

Hi everyone.

Nova, lol at noo & minimans antics, very sweet.

Beks, you sound much brighter, glad you enjoyed your weekend, and are still making the most of your parents being on hand.

ChaCha, blimey, last month. Are you keeping the date quiet again this time round? Aw at ds1 saying baby will get cold, very cute. How is ds2 now?

Rodeo, have seen your new profile pic on fb, looks like a fab outfit, any more pics of that night to go on?

Thank you everyone for the compliments on my hair, I still love it, and on my next 'weekend off' will be getting it coloured. I will leave it as a surprise though & post pics once it's done.

Of course the things that make you extra happy also have the power to make you extra sad. Have had today off sick as I haven't been able to stop crying. G2s wife is a sick, evil, vindictive cow. He was back staying with them for a couple of nights as their youngest dd was ill & had been in hospital. So last night we basically spent the night fighting off her texts & then the random phonecalls that he was getting. Then this morning, he was bombarded with more texts & then she sent him a video of their dd1 crying. She basically uses the girls to keep him, threatening to never let him see htem if he doesn't come back to them (she doesn't let him see his oldest dd very often). So of course, she's got this hold over him & he doesn't want to lose his girls, so he left earlier today to sort all this out & I'm just hoping it's a positive outcome for us both. I'm not giving him up without a fight this time. I'm not losing him for a 3rd time, not without a fight at least. He loves my boys, it was so lovely seeing him & ds1 playing in the garden on sunday. Everything just feels so right with him.

novadandypowder · 02/07/2008 10:03

I couldn't find my phone, so I rang it....

..and the bin started to vibrate .

Gotta love the fact miniman has learnt how to open the lid.

Panda I'm so sorry about your situation, I know BIL's ex wife still uses the kids to get at him many years later. However, I would say if it was me in your situation I would stay away until he was actually divorced from his wife. Especially if he was beginning to build a relationship with your boys. A hard thing to do, but I think if there is a grey area surrounding realtionships it's best to avoid them.

mypandasgotcrabs · 02/07/2008 12:06

Oh how funny Nova!

He's gonna try and come round after work today. So we can talk things through. See what's happening with them, what he wants to happen with us. But I'm gonna tell him straight exactly how I feel about him, then at least I know he knows, and if things don't pan out the way I wnat them to, I will know that I've tried & let him know how I feel. Then it's up to him, ball will be completely in his court, and I'm not gonna contact him unless he contacts me first.

novadandypowder · 04/07/2008 10:09

Hope everyone is well

Had an old school friend round on weds with her ds (3) and dd (4mnths). Noo and her ds played together amazingly well all afternoon so we were able to have a good old chin wag. She has also asked me to be a god parent to her dd which completely shocked me, but I'm really happy she thinks that much of our friendship as we don't get to each other that much.

My old youth theatre is finishing soon as my old secondary school is closing, so we're having a big reunion a week on saturday. I'm soooooo looking forward to it, I have so many fantastic memories of my time there. It'll be interesting to see how everyone looks now, although I'm still in touch with a few people and they haven't changed much.

I've got a party weekend lined up - DH is DJing at a club tonight, and then again at a friends 40th tomorrow. Not sure how I'll be feeling on sunday! I think it'll be a weekend of cbeebies

ChaCha · 04/07/2008 12:35

Hi girls, thought i'd make an appearance. I am around just on ante-natal thread a lot as support is great at the moment and somewhere to moan and groan along with others. Was awake last night from 1-6am so am looking forward to a nap with the DC asap. I have probably 3 weeks left as of Monday or a few days more, will know when i see the consultant end of next week, i shall be counting the days!
SPD has kicked in badly as it did this time last year, crutches are helping but won't be venturing out as it got me while trying to cross the road yesterday and i was stuck until DH was able to rescue me - felt v.foolish but will teach me to listen to the advice of others and NOT be going walk about.

Panda - Hope you have both had your chat and that things have gone as you would like them too. You deserve some happiness and a good man - i pray you get both!

Nova - I know you will have a great weekend, enjoy it and hope to hear your update next week.

Love to all, hoping we are all well x

novadandypowder · 04/07/2008 16:44

Lovely to hear from you Chacha, I'm glad the ante-natal thread is able to offer you some help.

I forgot to mention, I was very excited to see one of my threads got a place on the home page topics . The one about raising kids in London, and the ever growing threat of gun and knife crime.

ChaCha · 04/07/2008 20:52

Hi Nova [big wave]

Must have a look at your thread later this evening. I was sickened to read about those poor French students and the young boy in N.London
At the age of 13 I was commuting to school by bus and tube through West and Central London and apart from usual bullying didn't ever feel threatened - is such a different story nowadays, people really have no respect for human life. It just makes me so mad. Will read your thread with interest. Was watching a trailer for the film AdultHood, is filmed on the estate i lived on once upon a long time ago - deals with lots of issues concerning young adult life in London. I guess Latimer Road is as it always was though..can't remember name of other estate near Westbourne Grove, recent stabbing there too..was notorious even back in the day.

ChaCha · 04/07/2008 20:59

Mozart Estate. Queens Park.
Just reading the Times Online about another stabbing as well, the one in Tooting - and kids stand back and watch this...honestly, it really gets me especially as there's little i can do.

novadandypowder · 06/07/2008 08:07

Two parties in one weekend has resulted in a very happy, but very tired nova (yawns). My feet, knees and lower back are really feeling sore today due to spending so long in heels.

mypandasgotcrabs · 06/07/2008 22:04

Hi, it's the ChaCha & nova show here lol! Just thought I'd pop my head in. Glad you had a good weekend nova. Check you out with your home page thread, but on a serious note, I guess it must be really worrying. I do sometimes stop and look and feel I've lived a pretty sheltered life, not always sure if that's a good or bad thing.

ChaCha, glad you're getting support on the AN thread, hope you're getting that support at home too.

Boys have been an absolute nightmare this weekend, I really don't know what's got into them. I've been locking myself in rooms at random points just to get away fromt eh constant screaming and fighting. And then the realisation sets in, that it's only a fortnight until the summer holidays. Argh!

OP posts:
BrownieBells · 07/07/2008 21:17

Hello - just a brief check in from me.....it's Brownie Camp next weekend, so have got tonnes to do......things to organise, kit to sort, tents to put up, camp food shop to do, programmes to write, emergency contact details to plan and so the list goes on.......!
The road to potty training seems to be a slow one in this house! Last Weds when T was with my Mum, he asked for pants - and then some time later went and got the potty, pulled pants down and did a poo! (isn't it odd what suddenly becomes a milestone in your life!!??) and then said I need to wash my hands now! (that's my boy!)
But then he has not wanted to go near the potty at home - so might buy a new one, in case the one we have (given to us by my Aunty) is a bit on the small side?

Glad you had good but hectic weekend Nova - sometimes those are the best hey!? Also read your posts on the tattoo thread - was tempted to post - but in the end didn't bother! Would really like a small one on my wrist, but think perhaps 2 is enough - but then they are soo addictive!

Panda - hope the boys are finally giving you some well deserved peace? Oh and did you have the chat with Guy2? Or have things gone quiet on that front for the mo?

Chacha - hope you are keeping your spirits up - glad AN thread is of help, but don't forget we are all still here for you if you need us....

Just to give you guys all a TTC update (you may recall both Diege & I were thinking of trying htis year.....) well, as you know Diege has had her BFP - all is quiet on that front chez Brownie - although we have sort of started - no major military efforts are yet underway - am planning on just seeing what happens (and DH is just pleased for what he gets! )

Rodeo - remind me where you got your SWAT outfit from - am thinking of doing fancy dress for my birthday night out in August - can't think of a theme (Panda, seem to recall you are good at this!? And Nova you may also be able to assist - you minx you!!)
Am thinking only the girls will make the effort (always go out in mixed groups generally, but it's only the hardcore girls that will be up for it I think!) So any ideas of themes gratefully received.....

Love to all, from a very busy Brownie (so apologies if I don't get on much over the next week...but it's not cos I don't love you all!)

B

novadandypowder · 08/07/2008 21:05

echo....echo....echo....echo....

novadandypowder · 08/07/2008 21:24

Only joking .

Brownie lovely to see you drop in, here's wishing you some sunshine for your brownie camp. I've been watching the occasional episode of Miami Ink, and it's doing nothing for my desire to get another tattoo. DH just rolls his eyes, and looks at me in a disapproving manner. I'd really like to get the small chinese symbol on my hip covered over with something bigger and better!

Fancy dress parties rock! You could have themes like:
career you wanted as a child
heros (as already mentioned)
james bond (a good one for the guys)
movie stars (could do a particular genre if you want to narrow it down)
countries of the world (I've been to this one and it was ace - someone came covered in Iceland bags!)
America (the club night I went to on fri had this theme and some of the costumes were fab)
Hawaii/Hula/Tiki night (had this at our house once and it worked quite well for guys)
Gangsters/Goodfellas (had this for a NYE party once and we kind of stretched it into movie charcters)
Chavs (a bit over done, but we had it one NYE and the results were hilarious)
Saturday night fever (again over done, but costumes should be easy to get hold of)

We want pictures please, whatever you decide!

Noo has been really trying my patience just lately. I'm not sure if it's her age, or if it's something to do with the fact her nursery have changed the whole set up of pre-school. They now mix all the children together from ages 2.5 - 4.5 and I'm sure she's picking up bad habits from the older kids . Miniman has also been letting the world know that he has a cough and cold....grr to manflu!

We are about to put noo and miniman together in a bedroom (arrgghhh!). We think it'll be good for them to share, and it'll be nice to have a spare room back. I remember sharing with my sister even though we had a spare bedroom, and a lot of people I've spoken to used to share as a kid. Any advice? We've already moved noos furniture around so it's not happening all at once, and we're getting miniman a toddler bed. Think we may be breaking up a lot of late night parties, and getting up very early in the morning!

Apart from being driven mental (must be something in the water Panda), all is well. I'm trying to decide what to wear for the reunion on saturday night. Most of the people there I wouldn't have seen for about 10years so I want to look suitably amazing .

ChaCha · 09/07/2008 10:25

Hurray, we are still alive and kicking! Really did think we were going to be the all new 'Panda, ChaCha and Nova Show'

Good to see you BB and good luck with the camp. Nova's ideas are great - tell us what you decide in the end and have lots of fun with the preparation.

Nova - I've put DS's in same bed (bottom bunk which is a double) as i've had my mum and DP staying for a few days and they've been fine sleeping in same bed/room. It has been easier for me too as they just cuddle up together for story time and fall asleep, no need to carry one into next bedroom. For me as someone who co-sleeps has also been really nice to have own bed - but not for long of course. Let us know how it goes.

DS1 has his days. Really finding his independence, knows exactly what he wants and can be v.testing at times. I think Nova it's an age thing, I remember Rodeo saying something about wanting to toilet train before the bedreaded 2.5 age but i could be wrong. We certainly have our moments here. Things he says are hilarious but we are having to watch what we say as are often reminded of our faults when we least expect it! DS2 is the most loving and amazing little character and together they really make me smile - of course, i can say this today as we are all relaxed and i am resting

Consultancy tomorrow so should be able to tell you my delivery date (sounding like online shop) and hopefully a countdown to end of all this pain - I feel i have aged dramatically this year.

Nova - Knock them out!!! I know you will anyway..do we get a sneak preview? Exciting - hope you have a fab night.

Speak soon girls, keep our thread going!!!
