Ladies, last post for a week or so!!

Happy Birthday DOM! for tomorrow. Lucky lucky lucky lucky you Mae, you've finally cracked the sleeping! Enjoy that tea party it sounds great.
We're also going straight for the toilet, skipping the potty. But we're still on Joey!!
He is getting good at doing his wees on there now, but still no poos really, unless the occasional lucky time.

Beadmum, am of your new kitchen. Enjoy!

Flick, hope you got your tooth sorted.

HC, I love the name Chloe, I think cos it rhymes with Joey, which is a really silly reason! Charlotte is lovely too. Very period drama (in a good way!)Good luck!! at your parents though. I bet they'd be thrilled if it was you.

Bloss, bummer bout the job, but maybe it's good too? Surely your head-hunters can offer you something flexi at least?

Spin, lol at the crucial bit!! Yesterday Joey was in the naughty corner, and his time was up, and I said, come on back in now, blah blah, and he said 'I'm not sorry yet mammy' the cheek of it! He's definitely getting cheekier by copying Mimi's cheekiness.

Impy, have a fab dirty weekend a la gai Paris!!

Lots of love to everyone, please don't post too much while I'm away!!!

Rhinestone-lovely to hear from you. Hope the pregancy is going well.

Bloss-any more news on the job front?

Just waiting for DH to come home from work so we can have tea. Enjoying some Montana Sauvignon Blanc which was on offer at £5-79 (£2 off). Yummy!

Love to all

so I schlepped to London today, for a lunch meeting with who I thought was to be my new boss now that they have moved my dept into a new area of the business. At last, I thought, I have a boss after none for 6 months, I will have some structure, be given an up to date comp plan, some accounts, a target I understand etc...

We sit down in Pret, and he asks me what I can help him with, and I say wel as my new boss I'm hoping you can paint me a picture of my role going forward etc. But I'm not your boss.... He had no idea what the hell I was talking about. So embarassing. He can't beleive the way I have been cast adrift and agrees I have been totally cut out of any loop this company profess to be on, but I am not in his and although he said he would like me to be he has no headcount to include me.

So. I stay where I am, the only sales person for a team of 6 consultants, trying to find leads from no territory and no account list, trying to sell truly inarticulate propositions, and no-one seems to know whe the hell I report to! What a shambles.

Anyway - as you say Twink something good may come of it, no futher word on whether I am included in redundancies which I suppose means I am not (unless they have forgotten I even exist which would surprise me). And I am being paid a ridiculous sum of money to sit at home cleaning my house, watching tv and doing exercise DVDs....unfortunately, as Spins o rightly said, I am TOTALLY BORED and need to be busy selling and earning some godammn commission!!!

Sorry. Rant over.

So my Mother of the Year Award must be in the post after tonight - H wanted a shower but T wanted a bath. Install both of them in said ablution booths and flit between the two. Whilst in the bathrrom with T, H screams and lo, he has managed to reach my razor which I was confident was out of his reach, and has sliced his finger. He was totally aghast at the blood, so that took 15 minutes to calm him down, then he got a telling off for touching things that aren't his, coupled with muchos cuddles for being scared.

PLUS - it transpires we have left Rabbit at nursery. T has only just dropped off.....

Have great hols Annie.

Night times are still bad. I wanted to put the cot together again last night I was so fed up. He is still crying every bed time and keeps trying to get us to cwtch or read another story and then cries and gets out of bed when we say no more and then to top that i keep finding him in bed with us at about 12pm where hes sneaking in so cue more crying when we put him back. Ive put the bed guard on tonight so he cant get out. Dont know what to do to convince him to stop crying and go to sleep, he wasnt like this in his cot and DD moved easily from cot to bed, anyone have any tips.

Took him to toys r us to choose his birthday present yesterday. It was fab as he was so excited and kept saying 'wow' about everything. He choose thomas train set and we bought him james too and a tractor, digger and some lorry.

Were not thinking of potty training yet until the autumn maybe later. DD was 2.9 when she got the hang of it so im in no rush to put myself through it all again yet. Nappies are far more convienient.

Peed off with mil, no matter how many times ive told her not to let him nap late I came home from work today to find him asleep at 5.30 and then when I went to wake him she said ' leave him sleep hell be fine tonight' shell be getting a phone call at 2am if he wakes tonight!!

Hc mil is one of the reasons that I cant have a number 3. She is dead against it and has said she will not look after another and as I cant afford for childcare for 3 or to give up work im sortve pushed into a corner, that said I dont think I could cope with 3 either mind

thefortbuilder · 30/07/2008 22:32

too scared to go to the dentist today - will have to call them tomorrow

HC am enjoying oyster bay chardonnay tonight in front of the bill.

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 30/07/2008 23:19

Afore I go, here's the latest pics

HC, my scrabulous has disappeared .
Will search for it when I get back.

Bloss, you sound so confident, you'd be an asset to anyone who employs you. GOod luck. Glad H is ok, for him!

kbaby, hope you get some sleep soon!

CB, Lol I know it's lovely up there yonder!!!

See you all next week

Happy Birthday Dom ! Have a super day.

Annie-loving the pics especially the family portrait plus bottle of beer. Yay! They are beautiful children. Your scrabble will be under inactive games.

Bloss-you really do need to get out. at you treatment. Best of luck trying to get a redundancy payment.

kbaby-my MIL wouldn love me to have lots of children but my mum thinks that as I can't handle Emma very well having 3 is not a good idea. They would look after 3 in the hols, only snag is that they downgraded their car so can't fit 3 in! Hope the nights improve for you. Sophie is still happy in her cot and it is not at its lowest but she hasn't figured out how to climb out yet. Emma went into the bed part of the cotbed when she was 2.2 so that would mean August for Sophie but I'm not rushing it.

Sophie had her first hair trim yesterday-she wouldn't sit in the chair so had to sit on my knee.

Off to Rand Farm Park with my SIL and nephew today.

Love to all. We will need a new thread soon as aoon as all our treasures are 2.

Morning everyone and a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Dom

Annie - lovely lovely photos - it looks like Mimi had a lovely day! Have a lovely holiday.

Bloss - I think I can match you on the 'best mother' award today - straightened my hair this morning, switched my straighteners off and left the room. Josh decided to go immediately back in and of course burnt his fingertips But at least he won't touch them again eh? Hope H's finger is ok - sounds a bit nasty and very scary for him (and you) I am sure.

Kbaby - I would freak if my mum or MIL let Josh sleep till that time - I am a bit of a control freak about his sleeping anyway but 5.30???

HC - Josh is still in his cot aswell - seems perfectly happy, has never tried to climb out of it and sleeps like a log - so my view is why rock the boat?? Am thinking of moving him to a pillow/duvet, rather than a grobag, in the autumn just to get him used to that as he does like tucking himself up in our bed when we are playing.

Can I make a request please? No more talk about white wine Am so and would kill for a cold glass of Chardonnay But the only alcohol I can stomach this pg is lager for some reason so am treating myself to a small glass every Saturday night - how rock and roll is that???

thefortbuilder · 31/07/2008 09:44

happy birthday dom!!!

CB - happy for no talk of alcohol here as dh came home in a state last night - this morning the decision is to not drink during the week or sundays so he gets friday night and saturday night to drink (so it doesn't stop me having a glass of wine if i want one!). he started off saying not going to drink for a month....which just wouldn't happen so i suggested the alternative. we'll see

jacob has been in a bed since the start of june with safety sides on it, and a pillow and duvet for a while now. well he has a sheet in the summer as it's so hot in his room. he seems quite happy with it and so far has not even tried to climb out (we had to use his cot for sam!).

not much else to report here - annie have a lovely time way and we'll look forward to hearing all about it when you get back.

bloss do us a link??? i had an incident a few summers ago when we were living in a block of four flats (old converted mansions house place in west ken)- this girl moved in below us and she had a dog and wasn't very clean with his food cans etc. anyway, we ended up getting maggots in the bins outside our place, and as the bins had holes i nthe bottom for ventilation they were all over our walkway one morning -bleurgh it's making me feel sick just thinking about it! you can imagine the sight of me in high heels with my trousers rolled up above my knees brushing bleach all down the walkway and through the bins with a hose from the other girls flat! and they don't die! unless you squash them really hard...

anyway sorry about that ladies if you're having dinner!

spin that is such a milestone! yay!

had jacob and sam weighed and measured today - jacob is now 90cms tall - on the 82n d or so centile! and he's bang on 50th centile for weight. he's just shot up from 11th centile to that height wise in the last 5 months and sam is 6.4kg so a huge fatty

HumphreysCorner · 31/07/2008 18:41

spin, took Emma to the dentist and her front tooth is wobbly and the dentist said it is ready to start coming out. He said 6 is the usual age for this to happen.

ceebee-when PG all I can face is lager so indulge the small amount you are allowed. Wine always tastes disgusting to me when PG.

Had a great day at the farm despite the rain.

PixelHerder · 03/08/2008 14:13

Happy belated birthday to James !!

Spin and HC - enjoy your child-free outings Impy - sorry can't remember, was it last weekend or this weekend you're away with DH? Hope it is/was fab

Oh and Annie have a lovely time too - gorgeous gorgeous pix of your two beautiful babies, they always make me go all gooey!

Bloss - being paid lots to do nothing much is my idea of heaven but agree it can also be boring and frustrating, esp if you're relying on some commission too I guess. Sounds like a good idea to see what else is around, good luck x

Sorry I'm hopelessly behind with replying to posts - have sunk into a post-birthday hangover state of apathy Thanks for all the birthday wishes btw girls

Love to everybody else, will catch up soon, promise xxx

Shitey weather here today, hope it's nicer in the Blue Mountains Spin!!
