ging to Paultons park today. Should be interesting after too much fish, too much wine and too many fags last night. Went out for dinner for my BF's birthday, great night but feel like crap now.

Flick, the white jeans options sounds nice??

HumphreysCorner · 25/07/2008 12:24

Hi all

Feeling a tad down as my friend (whose husband was adamant they weren't having No3) announced last night she is 15 weeks PG. Am pleased for her of course but still feel slightly Happened straight away as soon as he changed his mind. Ho hum!

Have a lovely day girls.

Hi Ladies,

HC, sorry to hear you are feeling . I'm sure it will happen for you soon.

Bloss what/where is Paultons Park? (Too lazy to google...)
We went to Paradise Wildlife Park yesterday, it was FAB! We have a season ticket, which still gets us in even though Mimi is two now! Joey fed the zebra, he was so funny, half scared, half, 'here, eat it now'.
Mimi woke up in time to see the penguins and the monkeys and do impressions...
Then we spent an hour in the paddling pool, where DH fell on his ass (oh how I laughed!!) and Joey and Mimi were the littlest there, but just loved it all the same. I got soaked too, but not from slipping on my ass!! Joey braved the slide too and was thrilled with it. Mimi climbed up the steps but turned back down again... bless. One second she was screaming cos she got water on her face, the next millisecond she was laughing her head off at the same thing...

Flick, the white jeans sounds nice, but do you have a nice summer dress that you'd be comfy wearing (must be nice weather). Just the word 'summer' conjures up images of floaty dresses...

Spin, lol at Roshi clutching her 'willy'!!! Glad she's better.
Joey has been managing to do most of his wee's on the toilet lately (as long as he is asked every ten seconds and gets a chocolate coin...), and of course Mimi, although previously quite accomplished at sitting on the toilet for her poos, now only wants to wee standing up... but her and mammy have BIPS and Daddy and Joey have a willy wonka...

CB, bless Josh! I can't believe it's the very first naughty thing he's done though. Mimi is so naughty, she even knows when to go to the naughty corner...

Kbaby, where does DS sleep then?!

Right so, best go...

Have a lovely weekend all

will attempt white jeans i think - my summer dresses are all quite practical - nothing floaty here...

HC your way - it will happen for you, and i know it seems terribly unfair when it just happens for people you know

jacob can now say penis! and knows what it is too. doing most of his pees on the toilet again as long as he is asked but sometimes he says it "toiiiiiliiiiittt" - can't quite get him to tell me about pooing when wants to do it - normally tells me half way through. i'm told that is a tough nut to crack though?

supposed to be 27 in london on sunday!

Leo had a fantastic birthday today

He says he is 7 - big sis envy I think

He loves singing Happy Birthday, it goes like this:

Happy Birthday to me
Happy Birthday to me
Happy Birthday my CAKE!!!

and he dissolves into fits of giggles

He had a cake with a pink tractor on it - he insisted on the pink, it is his favourite colour.

ceebee74 · 25/07/2008 21:13

Happy birthday to Leo I have realised he isn't on the birthday list which I guess is why we all forgot

Glad you had a fab time and I love his version of the birthday song!

TheGoddessBlossom · 25/07/2008 21:15

Happy Birthday to Leo! Glad he had a good day. Love the sound of the cake.

Paultons Park is about 20 minutes on from Winchester. It is the most amazing place for my kids' ages, we were there 8 hours!! and I am completely shattered. Loads of roller coasters, flying pirate ships, tea cup rides, go carts, rabbit trains, you know the drill. Fabulous, worth every penny.

Don't worry HC it will you saying you are 15 weeks pregnant soon, you watch.

Every night I sing "Close to you" to Toby. He knows it so well now he sings the last word to every line:

Why do BIRDS
Suddenly APPEAR
Every TIME
You are NEAR
Just like MEEEEE...

It is the cutest thing I have ever seen.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEO!!!

Fab song

Twinklemegan · 25/07/2008 23:45

I saw this pop up in Active Conversations and felt guilty that I haven't checked in for ages and ages!

Happy Birthday Leo! Aidan's is on Monday. We're not having a party because we don't know more than one or two children round here to invite and I feel really mean. Have you all had parties? I'm making him a cake though.

I will make sure I catch up on all your posts. I caught sight of yours though CB about Josh doing his first really naughty thing. Aidan started that about 6 weeks ago I'd say. He blatantly does something (like tip a cup of precious shop-bought drinkable water on the floor) and then waits for a reaction. Little beggar!

I'll catch up properly soon. Hope everyone's well and happy. xx

kbaby · 26/07/2008 08:02

oh god im hangover. I feel terrible. Went out last night with work I remember being on my 6th shot but then the rest of the night is a blur, meant to be out again tonight on a hen night dressed as builders but not sure if I can face alcohol again.

Ds is in his bed, yeah, but keeps getting out at bedtime so we have to wait outside his bedroom and put him back when he walks out. This is up to 8 times a night.

Lost my temper with DD yesterday and then spent most of the afternoon feeling guilty because I smacked her too. Not sure whats got into her but she is getting so cheeky and defiant. Yesterday I was getting ready to go out and she shouted ' i said where is my bag' I told her I wouldnt answer her if she couldnt ask something nicely to which she shouted 'i said where is it' at the top of her voice, from here then it just spiralled with her doing things I asked her not to do and pushing james about and stuff.
She is just being so cheeky and drags DS into whatever mischief she is getting up to so its worse. In the shops yesterday I had to tell her a million times not to run about because she was running through the shops and DS was copying her and pulling everything off the shelves and chasing her. Its worse with the 2 of them because she eggs him on and he laughs at her so she does it all the more.

ImpyChica · 26/07/2008 10:41

Happy Birthday for yesterday Leo!!!

Don't worry HC, you'll soon be preggers. Try not to stress about it all - just relax over a few glasses of BH and shag DH whenever rather than going by cycles and everything.

Do you not have a LBD, Flick? I find they always fit the bill...

It was a fiesta (bank holiday) here in Spain yesterday and since DP was working in Paris, Ry and I spent an idyllic day in the Retiro park. Left house in morning at 10am and got back at 5pm. One of those never-forget days - lots of fun and cuddles. Perfect.

This week Ryan's been waking up in the middle of the night for food - weird. Friends always say you shouldn't give in to them but he's so stubborn he'd just cry for hours and no one would get any sleep. He eats loads as it is - don't know if it's another growth spurt or what...

Anyway, hugs to all.

Impy xxx

hapy belated birthday leo and in advance for aidan!

impy - not that smart unfortunately - i have some lovely navy chino fabric trousers that i might just take up or wear with wedges tonight instead - will try them this afternoon. well our cheap very discounted ralph lauren sale order arrived last night and the jeans are going to be my goal things to wear! they are incredibly tight at the moment so a few pounds gone will make all the difference! that and the shirts are v fitted over my boobs so can't put much on there either! haven't dared let dh see the jeans without a top on as it's wuite unsightly round the middle

spin i imagine it's all smiles after the rugby round your way - dh is in a foul mood, understandably....

kbaby hair of the dog may be just what you need??? must admit after my performance the other week i've been pretty restrained although dh and i managed 2 bottles of white last night with dinner! and we're out again tonight

HumphreysCorner · 27/07/2008 11:17

Belated Happy Birthday Leo. Sorry I missed his B'Day. On day 3 of the 2nd migraine this month. Going to my SIL's BBQ at 1pm and they have a mini pool thing so going to put my skimpiest £1-60 bikini on. Shouldn't really be seen in public with it but hey, whatever!

spin-not heard of that. Does it interfere with TTCing though? Didn't wear my skimpy bikini in the end as DH said others might find it indecent.

HC- Who cares what the others think. You worked hard to get that figure so you should show it of proudly.

Nightmare night tonight. DS has decided he doesnt want to go to bed and weve put him back to bed in excess of 50 times. I want to scream, wve been at it since 8pm.

Spin- Thats quite a good tip, we use the naughty step here but I havent used it or a while so maybe ill have to go back to it.

PixelHerder · 27/07/2008 22:51

kbaby - us too, Emma uncharacteristically nightmarish to get to bed - tried loads of times but eventually left her to yell at about 10.15, and luckily she conked out soon after.

Happy Birthday for yesterday Pixel, hope the head isn't too sore this morning.

We too were BBQing yesterday, such glorious weather kids were in the Paddling pool all day long.

So glad to drop them off at nursery this morning though.

Let's get you dressed Toby - NO! I NOT GET DRESSED! Wail scream fight.

Toby can you go and get your trainers? - NOOOOO!!! Throws himself onto the floor, head on rabbit, screaming and shouting, kicking floor.

If you don't stop making that noise Toby I'm going to put you in the downstairs loo (our naughty spot) - NO I NOT GOING IN LOO!! Gets put in loo while I upend cupboard under the stairs looking for his other trainer. Harry is playing with keys in the door.

Get outside, both run screaming around until I bundle them both in, H starts screaming and crying because we have forgotten his bob the builder pen knife and I refuse to go back in to get it, try and shut door but H has turned key in lock and it won't close, DH wanders about with his coffee and making helpful comments about me waking the neighbours.

HumphreysCorner · 28/07/2008 08:47

Pixel-Happy Birthday for yesterday. Hope your head is OK.

Electricity going off at 9am until 3pm as the YE are doing some work. So going to tacle Emma's bedroom-have bought a giant bookshelf thing from B&Q so I can shove the clutter somewhere else than on the floor. You can also get cupboard doors for this unit so can cover up the mess too! Yay!

Love to all
