name Ben
age 8 months old tomorrow
weight start of May he was 20lb 11oz, just had a week of sickness now weighs 19 pound 9oz
height 6 weeks ago he was 72.5cm
teeth none, not even a hint
food approx 24oz a day in 3-4 bottles. also has solids at three of his meals. Not great at food in its true form but is now eating more textured food. Hates banana and custard, loves yogurt.
sleep sleeps 7pm till 7am ish, up to an hour either side of the morning time. Has two naps during the day, dropped from a good hour and a half each time to about 30 mins now
activity sits up unaided for ages, rarely falls unless reaching too far for something. Will roll if put down but doesn't go far. Will walk a few steps if I help him. Has just started to wave bye bye and is very ticklish. Doesn't like being on his front so doubt he will crawl any time soon.
personality Always smiling everyone comments on how happy he is.
other will hold his own bottle and feed himself, also holds and drinks water from a beaker. His skin is much better

You go girl J2O!!! Sure you have enough common sense to be careful and make sure people know where you are.

One of the things I had written in my post before was that I find it very amusing that you think I'm superwoman - I have a very supportive dh who does loads with the boys and round the house and a cleaner once a week (so I have a sparkly lovely house on Thursday pm which has turned into a shit tip by Friday am ) I think my nomination for supermum is J2O who not only manages to be a great mum to her 2 girls on her own (that alone makes her superwoman in my book!) but also probably has the more sex than the rest of us put together!!!!!

Will do roll call later - just getting our first bbq of the year underway!!! And given that we a re missing a vital bit of ours we have a shitty throw away one that will probably give us 5 mins to cook everything and then die so best go sort it!

Oh and muppet I'd happily exchange your lazy boy who sleep 13 HOURS A BLOODY NIGHT but can't roll or sit for mine who still wakes at least once if not twice....

OK only joking I love him to bits.... But Adam only started sitting in the last couple of weeks and is older than Henry so don't panic xxxx

Just wondered how many of you would be up for a bbq at mine one weekend (if I could find one that works for everyone)? Sure Choc would but wondered what the rest of you would think? We have a sofabed but no spare room and 2 travel cots so could prob put up one of you but the rest would need hotels if you couldn't do it in a day....

Will not be offended if noone is up for it as appreciate it's quite a travel for most of you but just wanted to see if anyone would be up for it?

Hi all

Brief message before I crash... I nominate J20 too. Her only weakness seems to be a lack of sense of direction (if York is anything to go by) which I fully share. Have fun, sweetie!

Hi everyone else! Am impressed by the weight loss, LLL. And by people posting their weight - I'm scales-avoiding. And still bf and thus still wearing the most hideous unsupportive bras.

Anyway if we've moved by the time Alice has the BBQ, we'll have one large spare room and one single one, plus downstairs space, so we could put up anyone Alicet couldnt. Though we would need to get back - tis about 25 minutes drive but a prebooked taxi would work.

Back to people's postings... how's Stefka? she's been quiet... and YLLP - you promised to join us more - come back! Is Crochet in France?

Pelvic floors/etc - mine seems normal enough but then I had a section... sympathy to all of you... but mega jealousy of the underwear LLL!!!

Wow on the walking and talking!!! R sits very well and has done for ages but she doesnt like tummy time and hardly rolls, and is unlikely to crawl anytime soon. She's not quite seven months.

Sleep... well, last night was a bit better! The night before was awful - she was awake for most of it and so was I as a result - but last night she woke up lots but was easy to send back off to sleep, so a less stressy night, IYSWIM. And the house move is back on which is very exciting, though of course it could all change until contracts are exchanged. Solicitors faffing about at the mo.

Right, am too tired to write more. Had a lovely day out at a nearby lake, walking; was idyllic.

Hugs everyone!

Dalrymps · 04/06/2008 21:52

Alice - i'd definately be up for a bbq can probably stay over at bils in whitley bay too... Hope the one you're having tonight stays lit long enough to cook the food!

name Dylan
age 7 months 1 week
weight 13lb 11and a half oz (at 30 weeks)
teeth none, no sign what so ever
milk about 20-22oz a day over 5 bottles
food has good and bad days but generally has solids 3 times a day and has a pudding at tea time. Loves muller little stars and anything sweet, can't really think of what he hates cause it changes, didn't like avocado at the last attempt. Have been trying to teach him to drink from his beaker, has got the idea he has to suck now but generally spits most of it back out down his chin whilsts grinning.
sleep around 8/9pm to 7/8am, also 2 daytime naps of anywhere from 30 mins to 1hr 30mins, sometimes has a random 3rd nap too.
activity Rolls all over the floor but prefers to go in one direction only, can sit on my knee whilst lighly supported but can't sit unaided by himself, just folds up and falls forward. Generally very active, never stays still, has to be moving some part of his body! Oh and he claps his hands.
personality Cheeky little chappy, smiles a lot, says dada about 100 times a day, sneezes and then laughs at himself, blows raspberries, makes clicking noises with his tongue, pulls lots of little funny faces. Laughs at almost anything at the moment and says 'hey' if you're ignoring him
other Said mama properly today, my heart melted! His favourite toys at the moment are a bath book about a frog which alway goes to town with us and his 'peek a blocks' which are squares and balls with little things inside them, he loves examining them.
inzi - glad the weigh in went ok, sounds like she's doing really well! Oh, and glad Bob is ok
J20 - Have fun and don't do anything I wouldn't do
Muppet - Dylan didn't like beig on his tummy either, hardly ever was on his tummy before he started rolling, now he rolls himself on to his tummy he doesn't mind it so much and stays there longer so maybe Henry will be the same. I wouldn't worry about the rolling, they all do things at different stages and in different orders it seems!
LLL - wish Dylan would hold his own bottle and drink from it, well, he holds it but either head butts the teat or tips the milk everywhere.
Anyasmum - go Anya with the crawling, sounds like a right little mover!
Floria - hope your creations have been to sirs liking today
Had a nice day today, walked over to town and booked my hair in for a restyle on my birthday. Pil's gave us £20 to get something for Dylan so we got him a cool fisher price circus train, it plays songs and comes with 15 peek a blocks with loins and clowns and elephants etc in, he loves it!
Off to chill with dh for a bit, hi to everyone I haven't mentioned, chat soon ladies

FloriaTosca · 04/06/2008 22:03

Muppet; panic not Alex is a whole month older and until last weekend he didnt roll either (even though he could and had done from front to back on occasion from about 4 months!)and thought the best way of getting out of the hated tummy time position was to lift arms and legs and scream! He wont even think about crawling! .
Great minds think alike I was going to suggest we start the next thread with a roll call.
I love the new title suggestion of "this little piggy rolled & crawled to market & this little piggy walked home" shall I have a go at linking it?

Choc; wonderful news about the house move I'll keep my fingers crossed that it all goes without a hitch from now for you. I'm so sympathetic about your lack of sleep. When she does it to you again take solace that I'm probably up too Alex is still sleep resisting too (though of course not as bad as R) but up and feeding or crying from 12am-12.15, 3.45-4.05, 4.45-5.00 & 5.45-8.30 then "I think I need a nap now Mum" [grrr]

LisaLessLumpy · 04/06/2008 22:09

This little piggy crawled to market, this little piggy stayed and rolled at home, and this little piggy went weeeee and walked all the way home

or something...

LisaLessLumpy · 04/06/2008 22:10

second thoughts your is much better FT, go for it
