tasha22 · 26/04/2008 14:55

well i know for definate that mine will be the last to walk lol

knickers congrats! nope i done it with ds1 then told them a couple of weeks after that i only just found out and i was 16 weeks.

tasha22 · 26/04/2008 17:03

lo's inhaler isnt doing anything, he seems tierd all the time and wont eat. he was just sick exorcist style again. im debating if i should bring him to A+E to find out what the hell is wrong with him. i just want to cry because theres nothing i can do for him

leifmum · 27/04/2008 09:15

`aaaaggghhhhhhh! dd just wiped a really long post! probably a blessing in disguise! one of the drawbacks of a babe that's constantly climbing etc. i want plonkable baby back, just for a couple of hours a day!

working two days a week really impacts on the rest of the week. the other days are just much busier hence my absece from mn.

tasha - how's lo doing toDAY? did you go to a+e? i'm glad pregnancy is going well. a little girl! didn't realise you could find out this early!

welld one on the job knickers! i don't think you're legally obliged to tell them until quite a way int your pregnancy. i'd do what taha said though and pretend you didn't realise, that's because i'm a wimp!

we had a nice aftrenoon yesterday. made the most of the sun and went to the park and then pub. one bottle of magners wiped me out though, what a lightweight!

dh has gone paintballing this morning so now doubt will come back with lots of injuroes! his parents and grandad are coming down today so hopefully he won't be too late back. lots of tongue biting is on the agenda. they'll be looking after dd tomorrow for a few hours while we're both at work. i know she'll be fine but i do have some reservations. guess that's normal.

i hope evryone else is well. will try and ctach up more next week xxxxxxx

tasha22 · 27/04/2008 12:13

leifmum- i havent foound out what sex the baby is i was joking lol i wish i could find out im so impatient.

painballing sounds like so much fun i would love to have a go only im a big wimp lol

i phoned the out of hours doc yesterday who told me to bring him down they monitored his breathing and put him on the nebuliser for 5 min which had no effect. she said he was more tierd because he was having to work harder to breath so she told me to take him up to the childrens hospital and they gave him steroids and 3 back to back doses of the nebuliser and a chest xray they were going to keep him in because he wasnt feeding but then a different doc came in and said i could take him home and tripple his dose on the inhaler and he will have an appointment with respiratory response in 2 weeks but hes still the same refusing feeds and tierd he cant afford to loose any moore weight so im going to try him with 2 more feeds and if he refuses im taking him back up.

shrinkingsagpuss · 27/04/2008 14:07

tasha - you poor thing, hope it works ok. If you're not happy, then you should refuse to take him home. It's too much risk if he's already tired, they can go down hill very quickly. He'll need fluids too, and glucose to up his energy. Do shout, and write down what they tell you.

tasha22 · 27/04/2008 17:06

shrinking-thanks for advice. hes taken 2 bottles today the firsst a forced 6oz bottle with vomiting and the second a 4oz bottle not great but atleast its something. hes still been very tierd and slept most of the day up until i started waking him up every time he fell asleep which was about 3o clock but sleeping again now so better go wake him. im not sure if i should be letting him sleep but i just dont like seeing him so tierd. gave him his 6 puffs of inhaler again with no effect again. still breathing very fast and wheezing. ive been writing down how much hes been drinking and at what times and how hes taken it eg willingly, struggling or forced (dont know if this is wrong). im going to see how he goes with his next one which is at 6.

tokentotty · 27/04/2008 21:59

Oh dear, sorry chicks but am doing it again. Dropping in unannounced without having read previous mails....

Anyway, am very, very sorry for this poor behaviour but would always be interested in taking part in a SouthEast Meet up ?

All fab here. Pads being an odd kid as usual though. Got the first two teeth through over a month ago, they were his bottom, middle two. Had a really tough last 10 days though as he's been teething again. I presumed that it was the top two middle teeth on their way. More fool me - bloomin' canines have popped out - am rearing dracula it would seem. Any advice ?????

lizziemun · 28/04/2008 09:36

eat lots of garlic .

shrinkingsagpuss · 28/04/2008 09:46

lol at lizziemum!1

hi TT! always nice to see you hun.

Tasha how is LO today? the not eating thign must be catching - Evie has been a cow all w/e (but don't tell anyone on the GF thread I said that), she's been up at all hours, hardly eatne a bite, miserable as sin. My Mum helpfully told me it was my fault as she has just had her first 2 days at nursery, so she's struggling with the change. Maybe she's just under the weather!

I had a baby free day yesterday... Dh took both kids out all day.. and what did I do? Tidied, hoovered, ironed, cleaned, cooked a lovely dinner. How sad am I?

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 28/04/2008 11:34

Hi guys,

tasha hope lo is ok.

Big congrats on getting the job, knickers, well done you!

meandmyjoe- a lot of them do look like phil mitchell/winston churchill right now, especially ones with less hair, like ours! We always get told James is big for his age, some woman the other day called him a bruiser! I didn't take offence but I don't really see it, he's still a baby to me.

hi tt- no advice on the teeth, but apparently it's not uncommon for canines to appear early, don't worry about it, sounds like they're all on their way now! James still has no teeth at all but he keeps biting and he's had red cheeks the past few weeks so we might see some soon.

He doesn't seem himself today, he's normally full of energy and scrambling about when he gets up but he was lying on his dad's lap for ages, just barely awake, then started crying and wouldn't settle til I gave him some water and put him down for a nap. hope he's not coming down with something.

Just watching This Morning, haven't seen it for months- can't believe how much eight Fern Britton has lost! She looks great.

OP posts:
JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 28/04/2008 11:36

Fern Britton has lost weight, not eight.

OP posts:
mamamila · 28/04/2008 12:08

ooh if fern brittan can lose weight, then i definitely must be able to! i always thought her biggest problem must be her husband cooking bloody cakes and puddings constantly!

TT- poor you and paddy, i think mila will pop out all bottom row, she has huge white bumps along bottom gums and still no teeth

incredible but she slept 7.30 - 11.30pm without waking but still 3 or 4 feeds before 6.30am up. as i write now she's been asleep an hour and a half, wooh! it's fantastic just a bit of free time eh, i'm starting to miss her now

My2Weegirls · 28/04/2008 12:47

you've all been blethering sooo much - have jsut skim read.

dd2 is realy funny with her crawling - she seems to think that if she lifts her hands up faster that she'll move faster . can't go anywhere now but she's at the back of me chasing. had to put the stair gate up again as she like to climb.

think she's teething again here too - more red cheeks/drool/soft squidey poop/gagging when eating etc - oh well 6 down 14 to go!

tasha - how's your wee one? dd1 was on hospitalised a couple of times with asthma and it's horrendous seeing them on the nebuliser/oxygen - big hugs.

conker - how are the chickens - did they survive the weekend? are they noisey?

mamamila - fingers crossed mila is turning a wee corner and will start to sleep for longer stretches

knickers - congrats on the new job

the little minx has just discovered the coiled door stopper and is pushing it to make it shake (she also loves radiators which is not good!)

My2Weegirls · 28/04/2008 12:49

oh - have also put an updated photo of my little smarty pants!

when through to take wahsing out of the machine and came back and found her with pen and newspaper!

GillL · 28/04/2008 12:57

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't been around. We were all struck with a sickness bug last week. I got it Tuesday, got it Wednesday and dh on Thursday. Dh had to take Wednesday off work to look after the kids cos mum and dad both got it. Then I had to look after the kids and dh on Thursday even though I still felt like death I've spent ages trying to catch up but I've given up there's so much to read.

Ds still has no teeth but I do give him little things to eat like peas and he's fine with them. I don't bother with purees anymore. He's not really saying any words other than blurrrrblurrrrblurrrrblurrrr (with his tongue out). He also sprays everyone blowing raspberries

We got a night out on Saturday. Mum came to babysit. We got home just before 10 and they were both downstairs awake. Dd didn't go to sleep til 11:30 and then ds was up at 5:50 even though he hadn't slept all evening.

Nice to hear from you conker, TT and mamamila. Sorry to hear about your bad nights mama.

TT - a south east meet up would be lovely. If it's going to be during the week, let me know and I'll try to book the day off work.

conkertree · 28/04/2008 13:41

great about the sleep mamamila - hopefully it will continue and then extend into the night. ds was only up twice last night - 1.40 and 4.30 so a bit of an improvement too.

my2weegirls - another baby looking very grown-up - she has so much hair - very cute.

chickens are still alive so far - seem to quite like it, and i went on a chicken keeping course yesterday so a bit more confident about handling them etc. think it will be a few weeks till we get eggs though.

ds still has just the one tooth, and have had to get him to stop biting when he's feeding. not as sore as i can imagine it would be with four teeth but sore enough.

Hersetta · 28/04/2008 14:04

wow - chatty lot the last few days.

Hi TT - nice to hear from you again. Would love to do a meet up but I am working full time again now - boo!!

tasha - glad everything ok with your pregnancy. Your poor DS's are certainly in the wars a bit - you must be frazzled with it all.

Caitlin has her Daddy's temper it seems. She has now learned how to go from sitting to a commando drawling position and is getting increasingly frustrated that she can't actually move properly yet. yesterday she got so frustrated that she actually lashed out and punched a pillow that was laying next to her on the floor.

we go to swimming lessions on a Saturday and the new term started this week so there were new babies in the class - the youngest was just 3 months and was tiny. I can't remember Caitlin ever being that small. The time seems to be going so quickly.

tasha22 · 28/04/2008 14:42

my2weegirls awww shes a wee dote and i still cant get over her hair could she spare some for my lo lol. it was really hard trying to keep the nebuliser over his face he wasnt happy so i ended up giving him to dp and jumping about infront of him like a nutter to try and keep his mind off it.

i just realised that when he got his chest xray i stayed with him and since they wouldnt let me stay with him thismorning when he got his hips xrayed im assuming it must be bad?? his hips are fine by the way so theres one thing.

hes only taken 3.5oz today so ive spoken to hv and im bringing him over at 3. theres that many different people i dont know who to bring him to. he asleep atm and ds2 has fallen asleep on the hall floor bless.

shrinking i dought that she can think that way yet 'if i refuse to eat then mummy will come get me' lol bless hope she starts eating more soon its not nice when they refuse to eat.

mamamila- thats good hopefully you start having a better night.

illcatch up with everyone else later i have to go and get my clan gathered up it takes me about half an hour so that means im going to be late....

helibee · 28/04/2008 15:24

tasha-hope everything is ok with you lo, i'll email you later, sorry i've had a migraine all weekend!

Callum took one step without us holding his hands and then sat back on his bottom! But with me holding just one hand he walked abot 200m (according to dh) outside the house yesterday

He had a bad night though- 3 of his top front teeth are bulging ready to cut, so medised worked it's magic

my2weeegirls=what a clever wee monkey you have, Callum discovered the coil door stopper too during the week!

mamamila-hope you continue to get a better nights sleep and your pics are gorgeous, i'll update Callums in a min

tasha22 · 28/04/2008 16:03

hes going back into hospital the gp tinks he needs to stay in for a couple of days and get nebulised and sucked out and get his feeding up again.

hilibee- hope your feeling better now? its terribe having migranes especially when you have kids.

ill be staying at the hosp with him so ill be back when he gets out.xxx

helibee · 28/04/2008 16:08

tasha-i've just emailed you, text me or email if you need to x

My2Weegirls · 28/04/2008 16:17

big hugs tasha - hope they get him sorted quickly. make sure you look after yourself as much as you can as well. though appreciate that it's very difficult when dc's come first.

mamamila · 28/04/2008 18:24

oh gosh tasha, good luck to you, i hope you have people to help you out.

myweegirls- wow your girls are gorgeous and the wee-est so cute with her proper haircut! she does look very grown up

helibee- callum looks like a bag of fun too, and i'm so jealous of our pristine flooring! your house looks like a place i'd like to retreat to!

it's rainy season here and i'm so tired of dirty dogs and sandy wet floors

gill- hi! sorry you've been ill

and thanks everyone for good wishes re: sleep. let's see how it goes...

helibee · 28/04/2008 19:10

my floor needs lots of hoovering though-there are bits of carrot sticks, rice cakes and raisins hiding everywhere

mamamila · 28/04/2008 19:30

he he! i mean your pristine floor obviously, not my horrible wet grubby tiles.

dogs keep dropping ticks everywhere, and mila was practising her thumb and finger co-ordination skills with some gecko poo today. i can't cope with this side of outdoor living

has anyone else had their girl's ears pierced? i know it's totally chavtastic but by 6 months it was considered a bit overdue by dp's family here in zanzibar. i gave in and have to say i love them! it was a bit wierd at first, we called her 'baby-lady' for a while but they don't bother her at all and she'll never remember it
