Tasha

I have to be organised as my depression gets worse the messier (sp) my house is and i can not cope if that makes sense.

Your DS3 was prem wasn't he, i remember watching a 'baby whisper' programme and she said something about readjusting to the age they should be, so instead of your ds3 being 8/9 mths he should 6/7mths if that makes sense.

Bogwoppit

well done for breastfeeding and for doing it on telly .

My2Weegirls · 15/05/2008 20:51

where do we get your autograph bogwoppit?!

tasha - glad you're doing ok! i'm sure your lo will get there. he's had a tough couple of months with operations/illness etc.agree with lizziemum about his age though.

conker - don't envy you moving with ds - we moved when dd1 was 15 mo and that was hard! are you hoping to stay in the same area or moving further afield?

i'm excited - DD1 and are going for our thomas the tank train ride on saturday .

i much prefer doing the garden as it stays tidier for longer (a week or so) than tidying the house (tidy for 5 min or so!).

hope everyone is well?

tasha22 · 15/05/2008 22:19

Bogwoppit- go you! echo lizzie + my2weegirls.

oh im not at all worried about his development as each of my boys done different things in their own time but got there in the end im quite happy for him to not be mobile for a while lol. ds2 still isnt talking but i know hes quite capable of doing it and ds1 was able to say a lot of words at 1year.

lizzie- yeah its a good thing to be organised that way. your just so much more relaxed when the house is tidy

my2weegirls- i hope you and dd have loads of fun tomorrow. get some pics so we can see

helibee · 16/05/2008 00:22

hiya, just back from PIL so trying to catch up-boy you lot have been talkative.

Conker-thanks for the email and i have exact same problems with C with itching etc, going to ask the doc to change his antihistamine

James-i use the Huggies super dry, they're very absorbant (have used free pampers when they get sent but i'm a huggies girl ), the huggies natural fit are also good but not as absorbant at night.

Callum has decided to not eat this week and instead has had about 7 bottles a day. Thankfully he ate a bit at lunchtime, will try again tomorrow!

Tasha-echo all the others and you know i'm here if you need anything. Glad ds3 is doing better.

Bogwoppit-wow, thats fab, well done on your fame

AAAAAGGGGGHHHH re the housework! Dh does the hoovering and we both chip in on the rest but i'm afraid i'm a tad like Monica from Friends so i can be a nightmare if things aren't as they're supposed to be but since being ill i've chilled out a lot more than i used to be

my2weegirls-glad dd2 is on the mend, have fun tomorrow (or today-just loked at the time!) I'm off to bed will catch up more tomorrow

(Whispers) morning James, glad you had a good night.

Meandmyjoe · 16/05/2008 07:35

Aww James, bless you, look at your typing! Always a sign of a good night out! Glad you enjoyed yourself.

I can't remember the last time I was drunk! Definitely before I got pregnant so well over a year ago! I was alway a bit paranoid as i was breastfeeding so didn't drink at all during the first 3 months and now I just think I'd get drunk ridiculously easily and spend the rest of the night being sick!

Anyway, hope you don't get a terrible hangover!

Hope everyone is well today. Joseph didn't get up til 7am which was lovely and a welcome break from the 5am starts we have been getting lately!

Pinkranger · 16/05/2008 09:34

Good Morning - do you want the resolves yet

I was also out last night but home by 11 and not drunk as its a school night, good job really as lo decided it was time to get up at 3.30 am for an hour Think Not!!!!

Hope everyone else is well, off to dreaded toddler group now!!!!

Pixiepants · 16/05/2008 09:49

Hi,

Really hope no one minds me posting here but I'm on a bit of a mission at the moment and it might effect you too! A Britax spokesperson told me yesterday that UK perents/carers don't want 'Rear facing' car seats made available for LO's aged 9 months and above. I'm not sure this is true as alot of people don't even know they exist. Tests show that they are 5 times safer than the seats our government currently recommends. If you like the choice or more info have a look here if you have a minute. I am sorry to barge in on your page but as your LO's are getting to the size where they might want a bigger carseat...well, see what ya think. Thanks.

Pixiepants · 16/05/2008 09:50

perents??? That'll be parents then

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 16/05/2008 10:20

Oh. My. Head.

Feeling decidedly fragile this morning, sorry for the drunken message! Think I also texted a few people, yikes. My phone doesn't store sent messages so god knows what I said. Drank sooo much, started off with long island iced tea, potent stuff! Had a great night but I suspect I made a big tit of myself. Joe, I didn't drink when I was pg or bf either, only just starting to have a drink now and then again.

J finally managed to dive off the side of the bed this morning, don't think he particularly hurt himself but screamed the house down out of shock, must have shook him up a bit because he let me hold him for ages, bless him.

Pixiepants, I think a lot of us already have our second stage car seats unfortunately, several of us have big babies who needed new seats from about 7 months.

I'll catch up in a bit wwhen I'm a bit less bleurgh.

OP posts:
Bogwoppit · 16/05/2008 11:04

my big baby is still rear facing in his stage 1 carseat.he's the right weight for forward but no way am i swapping him until he's at least 1 - longer if i can get a rear facing next stage seat.
my middle child(almost 4) is also still in a 5 point harness despite most of her peers being in HBB & my eldest(almost 7) is still on HBB even tho most of his peers are on crappy booster cushions.
I think the campaign is great & will open the eyes of many people - especially if you watch the crash test footage.

Jame - nowonder you are feeling fragile - your typing last night was funny!

Pink -ugh @ the 3.30am waking.

m2wg - have fun at Thomas on Sat. I'm spending the day(with ds2) with hundreds of Rainbows at our county 21st birthday event for them
missing out on the leaders teddy bear picnic on sun tho cos dh is dragging us to see MIL & ex stepFIL in skegness!

tasha22 · 16/05/2008 17:25

havent got time to stop but he hee heee at james glad you had a good night and hope your not suffering for it too much

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 16/05/2008 19:36

Yeah I'm ok now, ta! even though I found out I texted my best friend instead of dp, requesting "sexy cuddles" when I got home. Don't even know why I texted that, I was asleep before my head hit the pillow!

OP posts:
Meandmyjoe · 16/05/2008 21:02

Hahaha James, u poor bugger. Think that's why I don't drink anymore. I was always sending dirty texts to my dad! Urrrgh. Thankfully he is rather good humoured about it.

Well, Joseph has done excellently with BLW lately. Not sure if I should asmit this but I made some home made pizza earlier and made a very small one with just tomato and grated cheese on for Joseph. i let it cool and cut it into strips and he ate the lot

Really pleased at how it's going actually as I was rather worried since he was rejecting the spoon! Thankfully he's 25lbs now so has a fair way to go til he wastes away!

Hope you are all well.

Tasha, how are thngs? Hope you're doing OK. x

tasha22 · 16/05/2008 21:33

james i do that all the time only i can look at what i sent and to who the next day and i just cringe lol

Meandmyjoe- aww glad joseph is doing well and i wouldnt fret about a bit of pizza. my lo has been getting 3 spoon feeds a day he still hasnt got used to working his tounge and whatever i put in his mouth comes out about 5 times before it disapears up and down.

i booked my appointment at marie stopes in manchester for tuesday morning at 8.55am and now im freaking out about flights they are all between 150 and 200!! better keep looking........

hope everyone is well

tasha22 · 16/05/2008 21:35

oh and im not aloud to eat, drink or smoke for 6 hours before!

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 16/05/2008 22:22

Homemade pizza is good, cos you can watch how much salt is in there. J has pizza now and then but he usually just eats the cheese.

Hope all goes well, Tasha.

It's about time for that new thread, eh?
