Yeah, schools should be cracking down on the families who are actually taking their children out of school for holidays, not the innocent ones who are off for a reason.
Eww, lentil and sultana nappies. DD's always look like they've got carrot in them eugh!
Oh I can't bloody concentrate. DP is on 'Guitar Hero' and I've got the likes of Slipknot blasting in my ear!

Izzybel · 08/02/2008 21:04

£5 off! That's good Jammy.

milkyJammy · 08/02/2008 21:37

Oh DH is truly the Bargain King! He is training DD as his Bargain Cadet His plan is that she can be all cute and distract the other shoppers so he can swoop in and steal the bargains from under their very noses!

LardyMardyDaisy · 08/02/2008 21:39

bloody hell jammy....maybe it won't be such a strain on our purse when Waitrose open down the road in 2010! Our local sainsbury's only ever have pennies off things in the reduced bin, even if they are on the actual use-by date!

right off to be sociable with DH.

OP posts:
milkyJammy · 09/02/2008 09:55

I think that was a bit of a one-off, their reductions can be good but not usually that good. We did wonder if the wrong sticker had ended up on the pack?

But Bargain Hunter DH will be in Waitrose tomorrow afternoon with his Bargain Cadet, looking for cheap cake

LittleMissNorty · 09/02/2008 10:12

Morning

Glad to say things are a bit calmer in this house today.....laid in until 8.15am ...and I went to bed at 10.15pm.....do remember vaguely hearing DD singing to herself and playing with her toys in the cot....she must have got bored waiting for me to get her and gone back to sleep

Hope all you that are unwell feeling better today.....

I always find that Waitrose do much better discounts than other supermarkets on their reduced food - but never quite had a bargain like that!

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 09/02/2008 10:45

morning all
jammy your dh is very clever to get a discount like that

norty glad the pooh situation is improved in your house we have a snot situation here

TALLULAHBELLE · 09/02/2008 10:51

Morning All. Been home a couple weeks but just got online the other day. Have missed countless threads - so what's new? Who's back at work, who's crawling, how many teeth do we have now? See from quick skim that loads of nasty bugs & colds. DD down with cold too - all that time in Oz with not a sniffle, back to Scotland & its snotters galore within the week.

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 09/02/2008 10:52

welcome back tallulah did you have a nice time?

TALLULAHBELLE · 09/02/2008 10:55

Enjoyed the sunshine & was good to catch up with friends & inlaws but I missed my mummy!

LittleMissNorty · 09/02/2008 11:23

Welcome home Talluah - sounds like you're glad to be home.....hows DD?

TALLULAHBELLE · 09/02/2008 11:39

Hi LMN - DD's is great, apart from stinking cold. She has really settled into herself, iykwim. Commando crawling, eating for Scotland & generally very happy & content. How's K going?

LittleMissNorty · 09/02/2008 11:50

Not too bad thanks - just cut her first 2 teeth

Was DD good on the flight home? Long flight to keep a LO entertained....

This is a lovely age for them....IKWYM about setting in to themselves.....DD really seems to understand whats going on around her now and learning about cause and effect....

Just tried giving her lunch however - spag bol and she clamped her mouth firmly shut so its been taken away...no sweet stuff, no rusk....wicked mother! She'll eat it if she's hungry!

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 09/02/2008 12:04

we have spag bol today as well norty

glad you had a good time tallulah they really have little personalities now don't they

TALLULAHBELLE · 09/02/2008 12:38

shes not sitting or wanting to dispite phyiso, but shes is now rolling a little, no teeth either. so as you can see not much change here only us getting more stressed each day.

hope you all ok

LardyMardyDaisy · 09/02/2008 15:17

hi tallulah and trace.

trace, sorry things are still stressful for you with Chloe's diagnosis. At least they seem to be doing things to try and get to the bottom of it all, and fingers crossed that you get some answers soon.

just a flying visit today, I've been to pilates again today, and have booked a personal session with the tutor on Wednesday (with my friend who has a 2mo old baby) to get some more personalised help, but it does seem to be making a difference.

I also registered for the Cancer Research 5K Race for Life in May, so need to get training. I did it before with no training whatsoever, and practically walked round. I'm determined to do better this time.

Off out to do some gardening as it's a lovely day. We are getting our raised veg plot ready, loosley based on the RHS 3m2 plot, but we have a luxurious 5m2 as well as our old veg patch which is going to be given over to tatties this year nd a couple of other beds for peas etc! Am very very excited about it

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 09/02/2008 15:53

hi trace sorry they're still not sure what's going on with chloe but at least they seem to be sorting out the support you need

daisy good on you am very of the veg plot

milkyJammy · 09/02/2008 16:04

Afternoon all.

Trace, sorry you're still having worries with Chloe. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels very lucky. Hope some luck comes your way v.soon!

Good to see you again Tallulah, glad you had a good time.

Am also of veg plot Daisy. We must sort our garden out if we are to grow anything this year.

The jamlet is being very cunning. I tried to entice her to move with a teacake [blush, prob v.bad parenting!], putting a bit of it just ut of reach. But she just pulled on the mat to drag it into reach so she could grab and scoff it! Tricksy baby.

LardyMardyDaisy · 09/02/2008 16:16

well that was short lived. DD kept eating handfuls of muck and grass. I've got a wee video clip of her that I'll upload to facebook later

She is now a very muddy baby!

Hello everyone

Welcome back Tallulah
Trace, sorry to hear about C

Thankfully DS's tummy has settled down a bit today, it's still not completely normal but no clothing changes required! As we couldn't go down to see Dh's friends we decided to go to London Zoo instead and had a brilliant day. DD was SO excited by all the animals. Her favourite were the tiny blue frogs in the reptile house .

I hope everyone else has had good days? Spaghetti bolognaise for us here tonight as well.
