Sorry Fairy. I'm just coming in to sign off. Making curry for us for tea and we're going to have some wine and watch a film.

FairyFay · 23/02/2008 19:46

That's ok Jammy, enjoy your curry. I think I might go in search of wine - that's bound to make crap tele more watchable

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 23/02/2008 19:47

Hee hee I'm a bit drunk. I have been drinking wine (only 2 glasses) with a mummy friend since 4pm. But it's ok, I had some chocolate cake to soak up the alcohol. Ooops, bad mummy. Don't worry, am home now with DH to supervise. He might get lucky tonight if he lets me keep on drinking

FairyFay · 23/02/2008 19:51

good on you bumper

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 23/02/2008 19:53

lol bumper

foxythesnowman · 23/02/2008 19:56

bumper!

I always feel a bit naughty when I drink in the day with mummy friends

bored here to FF. Baby has temp, she is grumpy and hasn't slept properly today. DD1 is being defiant and has turned her light on after I turned if off. The DSs are just pissing around generally.

Oh, did have a result though re pizza delivery. DS2, who is a fan of pizza said,

"Can you never, ever get this again please Mummy?"

FairyFay · 23/02/2008 19:59

He doesn't like Dominos pizza? what kind of child have you raised

foxythesnowman · 23/02/2008 20:01

Probably swapped at birth like in Corrie.

FairyFay · 23/02/2008 20:03

yup, I'm sure there's got to be some rational explanation - you'll be telling me next that he doesn't like chocolate

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 23/02/2008 20:06

LOL at foxcub2 - that's sacrilege!

I've not drunk during the day for yonks. It makes me sleepy unless I carry on. Just got to get dinner out of the way then DD into bed. It was a lovely afternoon. I thought DH might be a bit at us drinking, but when he realised he might get some he totally approved!

Apparently my mum and her bf used to get squiffy a lot during the day! Doesn't take a lot for me any more

foxythesnowman · 23/02/2008 20:19

LOL Bumper! He'll be plying you with nips of cooking sherry throughout the day before you know it!

FF - you know what? HE DOESN'T!

He's no son of mine! Except I had a homebirth, so that blows that theory out of the water.

He does, however, like cake - chocolate or otherwise and crisps - so he has some of my genes.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 23/02/2008 20:25

Jammy, you've gone now, but I've e-mailed you back!

Good for you bumper, sounds like a lovely afternoon. Am very as I'm on the wagon at the moment. DH refused to get me any wine when he went for a cigar , but it's for my own good. I could have a gin and tonic I suppose.

Pizza...I long for pizza ; gluten free pizza bases, like gf bread, just don't cut the mustard.

thankfully chocolate is gluten free

foxythesnowman · 23/02/2008 20:27

How about the Kello Organic Belgium Dark Chocolate Rice Cakes Daisy? Gluten free and just sooooo lush. If you haven't found them yet, they are highly recommended by lardy-arse me

Who'd have thought rice cakes could be so addictive?! I ate a whole packet today

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 23/02/2008 20:53

oh, I've not seen those foxy....where can I get them?

Those little nibble things you my secret stork sent were gorgeous. Are they them?

foxythesnowman · 23/02/2008 20:56

No, those came from Waitrose. The Kello chocolate ones must have been Sainsburys I think. God, they are good!

foxythesnowman · 23/02/2008 20:57

I need to sign off and look after my LO and finish my dinner. Even though I had intended to have the pizza because I didn't sit down and eat the 3 pieces I ate standing up I don't feel like I've had dinner. So now I'm eating the rest of my curry from last night.

night lovelies. Thank you for your company today.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 23/02/2008 21:06

night foxy.

LittleMissNorty · 23/02/2008 22:32

Hello all

Fairy have you got one of these near you? They're great for formal occasions....there's one in the designer outlet about 5 mins drive from here and I spend lots in there

DD still drugged up to bring down fever and now had conjunctivits . Looking very sorry for herself . Nevertheless, she is a little better than yesterday I think....temp is more 37-8 rather than 38-9. Is learning quickly how to push me away when I want to bathe her eyes / wipe her nose

Was supposed to be going out with DH tonight for first time since we've had her...cinema tickets all bought and paid for....and we had to cancel ....but so be it....I'd much rather be here with her.

Ohh over holiday flat Andie...sounds great...although I am very close to the sea here....

Right off to bed...night all

FairyFay · 24/02/2008 06:58

Thanks for the tip Norty, I've checked the website and unfortunately there's not one near here anywhere

Sorry that you had to cancel your night out, that's such a shame. I hope DD feels better soon, it sounds miserable for all of you.

Sputnik · 24/02/2008 10:38

Glad to hear your DD is on the mend LMN.

I am 99% sure I've got mastitis, I had a really high fever last night, it came on really suddenly. DH had to leave early this morning and will be away for a week, so not a good time. Feeling abit better this morning, but I'll probaby have to go and get some ABs tomorrow. Daisy, was it you that had mastitis?

FairyFay · 24/02/2008 11:13

Sputnik, I've also had it several times. If you have a fever, sharp pains in your breast/under your arms and red areas there too, then you probably have it. Until you get ABs the best thing is a very hot bath and try to express/massage the areas in the bath to try and clear the blocked/infected ducts. Poor you, it is miserable and I hope you feel better soon.

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 24/02/2008 12:03

Sputnik that's shit, especially since DH is going away. Hope you feel better soon.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 24/02/2008 14:05

Sputnik, you poor thing! I had mastitis a few times when feeding dd (none this time, fingers crossed) and I feel your hell! I always found that feeding her in a hot bath helped and then hand expressing off the excess. Sounds really odd feeding your baby in the bath, but it worked! Hope it clears up soon.

I am REALLY fucking pissed off. Dp went out to play golf at 9 this morning and he has just left the golf club now. He'll be at least another half hour as it is miles away. I'm not feeling well and I need to have a bath. He knows I'm feeling crappy and that I can't have a bath unless he's here because I can't leave ds on his own in case he kills himself. I have been sat here in my dressing gown since I got up waiting for him to get home. I sit in my fucking house on my own all week. I do not want to do it at the weekend too.

I've just ordered some nappies to make me feel better!

foxythesnowman · 24/02/2008 14:12

Sympathies Sputnik. Bet the only time you get ill is when DH is away, huh? Its a horrid thing. Doctors for you tomorrow then?

Grrr for you Holly! That's not fair!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 24/02/2008 14:16

Hey foxy!

I've just put the bath on so that I can do a dramatic flounce when he walks in and go and slam the bathroom door and lock myself in!

I love a bit of melodrama!

How odd your dcs don't like Dominoes! 'Tis food of the gods (esp with loads of extra garlic and herb dip) !
