HellHathNoFury · 20/02/2008 19:55

Oh god help me
DS is cruising now

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 20:01

woo hoo for baby fury. He has obviously been stoking all that food for cruising energy!

DD is trying to lever herself up at the minute, but can cruise a little if you set her off at the edge of the sofa. she only gets a couple of steps though before falling over!

annobal · 20/02/2008 20:16

Wow! Well done for baby boo and baby fury! DS is staying firmly on his little bum where he belongs

Holly, the c word is firmly entrenched in DH's speech. Thank god that DCs have not yet picked that one up

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 20/02/2008 20:17

Foxy et al i think it's a good thing that the dcs feel they can tell you how they feel, obviously not the offensive words and threatening to kill themselves, but it is healthy that they trust you enough and are secure enough to let off steam to you. i never said anything like that to my mum as i was too scared and to this day i can't stand up to her nor can i stand confrontation, I'm pretty repressed really. that's probably not much consolation though.

daisy, we are waiting in anticipation.

fury, before you know it ds will be telling you he hates & wishes you would run away! Is a boy thing being this advanced? what with baby fury, and baby holly. dd does seem to be progressing v quickly. i swore i would be really cool and not compare dd to other babies or worry about how quickly they are progressing but in actual fact i am disappointed she has revealed herself as a prodigy yet

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 20:19

I think I'll just disappear for a few days next week, and keep you all in suspense

It's freezing in our back room, so i'm off for some hot chocolate on the sofa in the warm.

G'night all.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 20:22

lol at DD not quite a prodigy bumper

DD is showing signs of being a musical genius; DS has a calfskin drum that DH brought back from turkey and she lies on her back with her legs curled around it drumming away. she even uses different techniques to get different noises. It's sooooo cute. i keep floating the guitar past her but obviously strings don't do it for her yet

foxythesnowman · 20/02/2008 20:25

Don't you dare disappear Daisy

My DSs are 14 months apart, 22 months between DC2 and 3, then 2.5 years between 4&4. So 4 under 6 when DC4 was born.

Its all completely do-able.

DD2 is definately not allowed to do anything. She can sit up. Probably.

foxythesnowman · 20/02/2008 20:26

3 & 4. Obviously.

annobal · 20/02/2008 20:28

Night Daisy! I'm waiting for the football to be over so I can watch Hotel Babylon.

LOL Daisy - we know where you live and we'll all just descend on you!

LOL Bumper - you should see DS3 on a piano . I tell myself that when they are not showing the major signs of development, they're working on the minor ones (the ones you can't see )

annobal · 20/02/2008 20:30

You are supermum Foxy

LittleMissNorty · 20/02/2008 20:31

Evening all

4 under six - I am full of admiration for you Foxy.....but in this house....fuck that! DD will be lucky to get a sibling a this rate

Supposed to be working....

foxythesnowman · 20/02/2008 20:35

Shucks Annobal . Am not really. Just like babies and pumping them out .

Are you sure no sibling Norty?

Hell, I just want someone to get PG! There's no new baby excitement - you should have seen me at the farm the other day. The farking lambs made me broody!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 20:40

I'm back....

I just checked my e-mails.....I made the MN Mother's Day Do and Don't list. Fame at last

LittleMissNorty · 20/02/2008 20:40

Oh no, I would like to have another and can get very broody - but not another 3....and sometimes another one seems like impossible hard work...DD is getting harder work as she gets older...

Ask me between 5-6pm on any given night and I probably wouldn't...she's at her worst then (or is it me that's at my worst...)

Personally I'd love it...may try later on in the year....if I can persuade DH

LittleMissNorty · 20/02/2008 20:42

Well done Daisy...haven't got mine yet....

Shit shit shit....I must do some work....this site is bloody addictive!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/02/2008 20:45

Just before I wrote that last post I put the bath on for the dcs and me. I went to check on it and it was stone cold! The farking boiler has broken! AAAARRRRSSSSEEE!! Just phoned British Gas and they will be here between now and the early hours! I really hope they don't turn up at 3 in the morning! It's great that they are coming so quickly, but I hope it's sooner rather than later.

I want a bath and I'm cold !

I love babies, but other people's! I have to say I do prefer it when they can talk to you and tell you what's up rather than just screaming! Actually I love newborn babies (mine included), it's just the stage between baby and toddler that is difficult!

Anyone watching The Brits? Mark Ronson is FITTTTTT!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/02/2008 20:47

I also fancy Ricky from the Kaiser Chiefs! I just love a man of rock!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 20:51

sorry about your boiler holly

foxythesnowman · 20/02/2008 21:00

No. The Brits make me feel old and the Ozbournes make me feel sick.

Trouble is, the hard bit is going from 1 - 2 children. Anything after is a doddle

foxythesnowman · 20/02/2008 21:00

Arse about the boiler. I know only too well what a ball-ache that is.

annobal · 20/02/2008 21:04

Holly that really sucks. Hope they get there soon.

annobal · 20/02/2008 21:06

Definitely agree with you there Foxy. Only I found the hardest bit going from 0 to 1 child - just gets easier after that

LittleMissNorty · 20/02/2008 21:08

Oh Holly - what a pain - can't you go to bed and get DP to stay up for BG?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/02/2008 21:18

It's ok, BG have just been. He switched it off and on again and it flicked back on! It looks like it's fucked though. Apparently he thinks the parts inside are full of sludge and scale, which isn't covered by the contract! He is coming back friday to have a proper look, so til then we have limited heating and hot water! AAARRRSSEEE!!

LittleMissNorty · 20/02/2008 21:24

If it needs a flush, may be worth getting a second quote.

Blimey- they were quick!
