healthy prawn pasta for us here.

Victory for daisy....the DCs are both tucked up in bed and the washing up is in the machine, with relatively clean work tops

But, DS sent to bed in disgrace for being gobby and threatening me when I asked him to switch the TV off (he had been told it would go off at six, then warned at 5 minute intervals from 5:40 that it was going off). then he got all arsey about going up to put his PJs on, and when I told him no story for being gobby, he threatened to kill himself, as "I make his life unbearably miserable"

Where does he get it from?

annobal · 20/02/2008 19:04

Prawn pasta sounds lovely. I'm having ryvitas and cheese I fancy a nice glass of wine tonight. Anyone else?

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 19:05

not me annobal, I'm on the wagon pending PG test on Monday. If I'm not the champers will be getting broken open!

annobal · 20/02/2008 19:06

Daisy sounds as though you could do with this

Think it is the age. I am currently not ds1s best friend anymore.

annobal · 20/02/2008 19:07

sorry, x-post, sure I can do something with it

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 19:12

I'm sure it is his age....that and he'd seen something about all those teenagers in S Wales on the news.

Your virtual G'n'T is lovely though, cheers

foxythesnowman · 20/02/2008 19:16

Thats interesting Daisy - DS1 told me he was going to kill himself, hates me, doesn't want to live here anymore. God, I'm glad its not just me (sorry, I know that doesn't help, but it is a relief). I hated hearing it. Not as much as I hated him calling me a 'fat cow'. Yes, I know exactly where that came from, oh Husband Dear, in a stupid arguement.

He has definately toned down his childish name-calling since then! (DP, not DS!)

Daisy, how do you feel about being PG again? If you get a BFN would you be a bit disappointed? Or relieved?

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 19:24

If I'm totally and utterly honest foxy, on an emotional level I would LOVE to have another baby, but on a more pragmatic level (can't deal with two kids never mind three with two under two/financial difficulties/having to go through another painful pg and c-section/the possibility of DH leaving me to join the foreign legion ), I'm shi**g myself.........

.......but strangely still praying for that little blue line. I tested today knowing it was ridiculously too early to do it and spent half an hour squinting at the thing convincing myself that there was a line .......but don't tell my DH!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/02/2008 19:25

Oh daisy, I am just waiting for my dd to say something like that to me. She is very emotional for such a baby bear! She told me she hated me for the first time the other day and she quite often hits me and screams at me. Maybe it's a good thing...they are getting the teenage years out of the way early! [hopeful emoticon]

Dd picks up things very easily as well. She called me something I never want to hear from my children ever the other day. A very offensive racist name. I went farking mental as she told me the boys say it and that's where she had heard it. I told dp if it EVER happens again the boys will not be seeing my dcs again. I will stay at my parents' when they come down. Imagine if she says it in public.

I want to buy some new nappies, but I don't know what to get...Swaddlebees? Wonderoos? Pocket Bots? Who knows?

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 19:25

and ikwym about knowing other six year olds are saying the same thing making you feel better. I thought it was just mine. He tells me at least once a day that I'm an evil woman, that he hates me, an that he wishes I would take DD and go and live elsewhere.

to which I generally respond "believe me I would if I had somewhere else to go"

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 19:27

holly, there is a little something in the post for you on the nappy front

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/02/2008 19:27

Ooo daisy, what a pickle! Really hope it all works out the way you want xx

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/02/2008 19:28

Oh thanks daisy, you lovely lady! Can't wait!!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 19:29

Don't mention it, I owed you one after the mystery all-in-one nappy you sent me!

foxythesnowman · 20/02/2008 19:30

Daisy, if you are I will be on call 24/7 with support from the Two Under Two Club!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 19:33

aw cheers foxy

Did you have two under two, a gap and then now have two under two again? how old is DD1?

annobal · 20/02/2008 19:35

I've got all this to come, haven't I?

LOL Daisy, I hope you are . I'm currently trying to convince DH that 4 is a good idea .

Holly. My DH has a filthy mouth and I dread to think what DCs come out with at nursery.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/02/2008 19:35

Fortunately I missed 2 under 2 by a month! Though I think it may have been a bit easier if dd was slightly younger and a bit less headstrong!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/02/2008 19:37

Annobal my dp too! He swears like a sailor when watching the football. I have to reprimand him for the c word many a time !

My dp would have another tomorrow...my body, however is not so sure!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 19:41

oh, that's another consideration; the fact that I'm still two stone heavier than I was before DD and three stone heavier than before DD and I look like a ball on legs

If I could only get my curvy pear shaped body back, I'll never, ever complain about having a big bum again

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 19:42

oops, 3 st heavier than before DS that should read!
