Have you got tickets Holly? Is there a waiting list for them? I'd love to see that exhibition...

Must go and work....

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/02/2008 09:08

MHC, you know I was having probs fitting the Buzz straps round my ds? I spend bloody ages trying the adjust them, I wasn't doing anything wrong, it's that the straps are just not long enough! I phoned Dorel to complain and they have sent me some strap extenders. Fat lot of use they are! They are about 2 inches long! There's no way in the world they are going to make enough difference for my dd to fit in it! She is not even 3 yet FFS! It has pissed me off...a lot!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 09:10

morning

I agree the separation thing is easier with two. mind you, DD is getting a little clingier every day, so who knows. IIRC, DS didn't go through it unil he was about 10mo and I started leaving him at playgroup for a couple of hours once a week.

LOL at mhunc, andiem!

glad the buggy is keeping you smiling mhc!

I'm hankering after a three wheeeler......sadly it isn't going to happen, unless friends of ours still have theirs and I can borrow it for a bit.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/02/2008 09:10

No I haven't got tickets, I hadn't even thought about it. I guess I should buy some just in case! There was a waiting list when the exhibition opened, but I don't think there is now.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/02/2008 09:16

Morning daisy!

I love 3 wheelers. They are much easier to steer than 4 wheelers. Can you get a cheapy from ebay? It is essential to have more than one pushchair y'know!

Just checked the BM website and they have 500 walk up tickets every day. I will prob do that as if you book them they give you a time slot.

LittleMissNorty · 20/02/2008 09:36

Oh may do that when I'm off over Easter then - cheers Holly

Sputnik · 20/02/2008 10:00

Good to hear everyone else is still getting night waking too, mine also wakes 1,2 or 3 times, tbh it's all a bit hazy as I don't look at the clock and try to wake up as little as possible. Sometimes I think he makes it through to just before dawn though. Usually he has 1 decent feed out of that lot and the rest just a little one. DD was about 18 months before she stopped but DS is a much better sleeper generally so I'm hoping it won't be much longer. I'm not really too bothered by it as we're co-sleeping.

He is eating tonnes in the day now too, it's quite a shock to me as DD wasn't really interested in solids much til she was about 1, and couldn't really be persuaded to have dinner at all, which might explain the bad sleeping. However I do seem to be spending my life at the moment making food and feeding the baby, I'm afraid the BLW has gone out of the window as he just drops everything and we're both too impatient.

Foxy, I just can't imagine having a bag of lindt eggs sitting around for a year! Totally impossible in this house

HellHathNoFury · 20/02/2008 10:08

Morning all

Well life here is as per normal. Nothing much exciting but I have made a discovery - Green and Blacks hot choclate is only 2 calories more than cadburys highlights! I think I am going to that from now on then.

I sold my bike on ebay for a tenner. Can't help but think the advert must have been sadly lacking in something as I bought it for $650 (aus).

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 20/02/2008 10:43

Morning all.

Ooh Holly didn't know about the British Museum exhibition. I would love to go to China!

LOL @ andie, I didn't even get mhunc! You guys are funny with your pushchairs. I must admit we bought a stroller but that lives in the car and the Quinny lives in the communal hall downstairs. We don't have room for pushchairs in our flat!

Sputnik · 20/02/2008 10:44

Oops, just spent more money than I probably should have here Some sale bargains to be had though!

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 20/02/2008 10:58

Sorry for those of you still struggling with night waking. DD only occasionally wakes up. But we are getting full on clingyness. Seems to be worse in the afternoon. sometimes it's only if i leave the room, sometimes it's if I put her down!

trace2 · 20/02/2008 10:59

hello every one!

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 11:01

hi trace, how are things?

how is chloe? I was thinking we hadn't seen you around for a wee while.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/02/2008 11:06

Can someone tell me why I bother cleaning and tidying? I have just tidied and hoovered the living room and moved on to the kitchen. Whilst I was in the kitchen the dcs have spilt rice cakes and raisins all over the carpet and pulled down a box of toys and tipped them all over the floor! I wouldn't bother, but my bloody mother has just phoned to say she is coming over in a bit. It is lovely because she is going to take the dcs out so that I can get on with some chores, but my house is messy and dirty and she will tell me off!!

Sputnik, that is a great site! Lovely clothes! It's a shame my dcs have enough clothes to last them until the age of about 13! I love buying them clothes!

My dcs are the opposite! Dd is a little piggy. She will eat anything and everything she can get hold of and eats huge dinners! SHe just loves her food! Ds can take it or leave it really. If you give him food he'll eat most of it, but he doesn't particularly want it. He is more of a boob man!

Good discovery fury! I love a good cup of hot choc!

Right, best go and clean my bathroom!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 20/02/2008 11:07

Hi trace, hope all is well.

trace2 · 20/02/2008 11:16

great news about chloe rolling. My DD was moving around a bit before she started sitting, so no doubt she will soon.

off out for a walk in the sub zero temperatures....gotta go to the bank and the PO or else I'd stay indoors!

HellHathNoFury · 20/02/2008 11:59

Hi All,
Good news about Chloe rolling Trace. What's up with DS?

Sputnik · 20/02/2008 14:28

You poor thing Trace, you must feel like it's never ending. Good news about the rolling over though. Mine still isn't rolling, but he does sit well now.

Speaking of never ending, I seem to spend my entire life cleaning the kitchen these days. Was just thinking of that "your life in 6 words" thread the other day, mine right now would be:
Load the dishwasher. Empty it. Repeat.

trace2 · 20/02/2008 14:37

thanks all, chloes nurse just came for first time, she thinks she may have a little cp! shes going to try and get us respite care for a break, shes also going to try and get her excma sorted a little more says its really bad for a baby!, i feel like we now have a little help and she as sat and listen to me.

holly good on you for e baying I am too lazy

hi daisy fury norty bumper

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 14:59

That's great news about the nurse trace, and I hope they figure out what is going on with her soon. At least if you have a definate diagnosis then you can start to deal with it.

I'm still on for a meet up if you are....maybe in the Easter holidays?

DD and I just had a lovely walk, and a nice lunch in a laid back cafe. She is a fan of the wee biscuits you get with your cappucino now ....well I can't eat them.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 20/02/2008 15:00

and sputnik, I never seem to get past the kitchen either. I just get it all clean and tidy and then it's time for the next meal and we're back to square 1.

HellHathNoFury · 20/02/2008 15:29

Daisy - invest in a cocker spaniel.
I no longer require the services of a cleaner or hoover when it comes to baby mealtimes. The dog cleans up every last scrap wonderfully.
