that is so sweet about DS words mhc. DD says the odd recognisable word (boob being one of them thanks to DS!), but she looks for the cat, her daddy, DS etc when you ask where's xxx? Her babbling has been taken to a whole new level though and she chunters away all the time now.

happy new buggy when it arrives

HellHathNoFury · 17/02/2008 20:56

I am going to bed. Just done a shed load of ironing and now I want to sleep.

I cooked something yummy and easy and looks impressive if anyone is interested.

I took a big knife and cut a hole in the length of a pork loin and filled it with apricot stuffing, covered it in salt and sage and roasted it.

Then when you take it out and slice it, yummy stuffing all the way through.

HellHathNoFury · 17/02/2008 20:56

ahh yes and MHC, happy bugaboo. I think you will like it!

she actually says boob to food as well. Tio her it obviously just means the end to her hunger.

Need to actively discourage it though!

right, am off before I get sucked in again!

annobal · 18/02/2008 08:57

Fury, I'm eating my breakfast!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 18/02/2008 08:59

Me too...PB&J on toast!

annobal · 18/02/2008 09:04

Just had very healthy breakfast of muesli and chopped up pear while watching revenge of the sith with ds1. If you see me on here again today, ignore me as I have to do some sorting!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 18/02/2008 09:10

Oh annobal, you health freak! I feel bad about my scrummy PB&J now! Don't really care that much though, I've lost a shed load of weight since ds started cruising, I can now pull my jeans down without undoing them! Result!

Hope you get lots of sorting done lovely.

My mum is on half term and we are going shopping in a bit. I am itching to spend my ill gotten M&P vouchers!

Laters x

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 18/02/2008 09:22

Morning

Hope you are all ok. Holly your desks sound lovely!

total bad mummy here. i feed dd in my bed in the mornings and if i am lucky i can leave her and she will sleep (not sure how this will work once she is mobile) anyway today I left her falling asleep then she started whinging. I left hoping she would fall asleep while I had some brekkie. Eventually I went into her and she had pulled a pillow over her head . I feel awful! DH is always telling me off for not moving the pillows because she has a habit of pulling them onto herself.

That's ok MHC, I'm hopeless too

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 18/02/2008 17:26

Evening all, had a nice relaxing day, an easy morning then went to the park with a friend. DD loves the swings

And tonight I am going to a salsa class

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 18/02/2008 17:47

a quickie from me whilst DH cooks the spag to go with the bol for tea.

does anyone else find that the days just run away with themselves at the moment and it's teatime before you know it? I've done not a right lot today, but the time has just flown in. mhc, I thought the Waterhorse was good, although you need to stretch your knowledge of Scottish geography a little bit (it was filmed in NZ, but is meant to be Loch Ness!). A good old fashioned family film really. DS was adamant that Penelope was a "yukky girls film for soppy girls", so it was either The Waterhorse or nothing.

annobal, I hope the packing is going OK!

jbm, didn't meant to ignore your brief hello yesterday. I hope that you get the thrush cleared up soon.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 18/02/2008 17:48

I am a poor mother; DD has never been to the park, let alone on a swing

annobal · 18/02/2008 17:57

Evening all! I've managed to stay off all day and get a load done. DS1 is amazingly excited as batman is about to be on cn...

milkyJammy · 18/02/2008 20:19

Evening. Glad you got plenty done Annobal. Glad you had a good time at the swings, Bumper (C likes them too).

Can't beliee I'm now in my 3rd week back at work. Had a meeting with my boss today and havev now got lots of work lined up for the next few months - primarily looking at sewers and sewage treatment!

Hope we have a better night tonight. We tried to ahem for the first time in ages last night, and every time things got interesting, the Jamlet started crying from the next room The third time it happened we tried to ignore it for a few minutes (having already given a feed and checked and changed nappy) but she got more and more upset. So I went in search of teething remedies while DH gave her a cuddle, then she was sick all over him and herself! One change of baby jamas and sleeping bag later, plus one dose of Calpol and one of teething gel, plus a cuddle from Mummy, and a bit of soothing and she went back to sleep. But you know what? I'd gone right off the idea by then! Probably as well I went to sleep though, as I got woken at 1am and 3am and then we were up at 6am. Have been exhausted today.

LardyMardyDaisyBoo · 18/02/2008 20:25

lol jammy.....nothing like a niggly baby to quell your passion!

When DH and I got back together when DS was two and a half, every time we tried to get passionate, he would wake up and come through to my bedroom (he didn't think it odd that his dad who usually was on the sofa was in the bed with me ). After about four attempts at settling him back to bed, we let him in with us, waited till he was asleep then decamped to his bed .....in our defence, it had been over three years for both of us!

your sewers sound lovely!

milkyJammy · 18/02/2008 21:18

DH accused my teddy bear (who was hiding under the pillows - he wouldn't want to watch ) of texting the Jamlet's teddy bear in a ploy to stop us getting up to anything
