Yeah, it's fine thanks fury. I think it was just a bad week and I was feeling a little emotional! They are all really lovely and chatty, I just wish I could get included in their "activites"!

HellHathNoFury · 11/02/2008 13:12

MHC - seconding the 2 part fold, it is a pain. But I find it easy to fold when you get the knack. But the frog and cameleon might be different.

HellHathNoFury · 11/02/2008 13:13

what activities?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 11/02/2008 13:16

Like going to the soft place centre and for lunch. I guess I could just tag along, but I hate inviting myself! It seems so sad and desperate!

NCT round here is quite snobby, they all talk about their husbands' frightfully important jobs and baking! I'm a bit too outspoken to deal with them! I always end up offending someone!

HellHathNoFury · 11/02/2008 13:23

ditto Holly. DH's friend had a baby about same time as us. She is with NCT. I am too heathen for her. We met for lunch and I was the bad smell.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 11/02/2008 13:29

ROFL! I'm a bit of a bitch to people's faces. They take offence to that. They prefer to be bitchy behinds people's backs, it's much more refined!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 11/02/2008 13:30

My dd just put my lipstick all over her face and stole a whole packet of crackers and ate them! Serves me right for MNing! Yesterday she stole a whole pack of my special M&S choc chip cookies and ate all but two! Anyone would think I starve her.

HellHathNoFury · 11/02/2008 13:42

Nahhh she's just a girl of taste

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 11/02/2008 13:44

Well yes and a greedy piggy!

HellHathNoFury · 11/02/2008 13:48

bahhhhh meetings now then home. Bye all

Hi MHC, I'm here .

Have just had my lunch (which has been sitting on the side since, oh, lunchtime!). Yes, it's been that sort of day...

That said, I did book a really nice hotel in Singapore

Fury, hope the meetings didn't run on and you got home on time.

Holly, love the new name.

MHC - DS1 is going through a real health kick - he gets worried if he eats too much junk food and thinks he's going to have a 'sugar meltdown'. Methinks too much Lazytown

Evening all
Meetings were ok. I am lucky in that I really like my job so it's no biggie!

Also my car was ready for collection a week early so it's all good.

DS has an eating problem. Today he has had:

1 big bowl porridge
2 yoghurts
veg risotto
1 banana
bowl of mixed veg and cheese
1 custard
big bowl of cauliflower cheese, fisha and potato
21oz milk
I think I am gonna have a big boy on my hands. He weighs in at 24lbs.

milkyJammy · 11/02/2008 20:35

Wow Fury, that's an impressive eating

DD had BF and 1/2 a weetabix, "some" pork, a yoghurt and biscuit and 200ml EBM at nursery (but turned down some fruit puree and veg), and a large bowl of mixed veg with a little grated cheese for tea at home, and BF at bedtime.

LardyMardyDaisy · 11/02/2008 20:50

frogs, bees, chameleons......have I wandered into a pet shop?

I'm trying not to, but am hankering after a new buggy. I have a teeny little mothercare folding thing for the back of the car, but it is so old and tatty that I feel ashamed to be seen with it. at my snobbery! also thinking I need a three wheeler for my "training". DH not very happy about it all, especially as my big pram, plus DSs old techno are still lying around the house.

Got an unexpected tax rebate though and think that it is effectively "free" money, to be used for something good. DH wants to buy next weeks groceries with it

jammy, It looks like you got the info you wanted, but fwiw, co-codamol and ibuprofen all safe when BFing. I also wouldn't worry unduly abot the ABs. As long as you don't make a habit of taking them, then DD should be OK for this one course. Just watch out for the symptoms of thrush though......

holly, love the new name.

milkyJammy · 11/02/2008 20:57

Hi Daisy. I'd say spend the money on something nice if you can. As you said it's "free" money.

I'm hoping that by taking the ABs then by Weds, when I have to be responsible for full time child care again I'll be feeling up to the job, and on that basis it's worth taking them. Will probably have to go to work tomorrow though, partly because I really feel i should, and partly because we have important letters about pay review things to collect, which we have to sign for, and if I don't go in then another week goes by without me getting it.

But for now I'm off for an early night.

LardyMardyDaisy · 11/02/2008 20:59

hello mhc, fury, jbm, annobal, sputnik and whoever else is around

bubble, my DD wasn't able to sit on her own until after seven months, even though she hads been rolling around the floor and then crawling (sort of) at 6.5 months). Agree to get her checked over by your HV if you are worried, but there was a thread on here the other day nd there was a huge range of abilities from different babies at the same age. I just looked though and can't find it, but if you do a search or look in development, you should find some reassurance.

annobal · 11/02/2008 21:16

My God Fury, that's way more than I've eaten today (however DCs have me on a starvation diet at the moment ).

Ditto re DS3 - he's almost 7 months and won't sit for very long unsupported (ie back against a couch). He's also not that interested in moving by himself.

Very excited about SIngapore - it's a stopover for a few days to go to a wedding with the added bonus of catching up with some old friends.

LardyMardyDaisy · 11/02/2008 21:20

annobal, whe ndo you go exactly? It must be soon.

Are the DCs getting excited about it, or are you keeping it quiet from them until nearer the time?

OP posts:
annobal · 11/02/2008 21:26

6 weeks Thursday - creeping up all too quickly. DCs very excited. Couldn't really contain it as the house has been turned upside down and half their toys have disappeared.

We're off to PIL this weekend. Will probably be the last time DH sees them for a while.

How are you getting on?
