Hi MHC. Sushi sounds nice. We had stir fry with lovely fresh veggies from the organic box delivered today.

I'm so looking forward to this wedding - the reception is in the Botanic Gardens and most importantly will be HOT.

LardyMardyDaisy · 11/02/2008 21:33

doing ok here. Had a great day yesterday at the Yorkshire Sculpture park. We met up with a few friends and their kids and had a lovely picnic and a good walk. We walked about four or five miles and nearly broke all the children!....an me as well ; added to my pilates on Saturday, I've been feeling it a bit today.

1st day of the hols went off OK, DS and I went shopping for new trainers and then I dropped him off at his GPs. I'm getting him back on Wdnesday morning, thenhe has a playdate/tea arranged with a friend. His GPs are picking him up again on Thursday to go off to some WW2 re-enactment museumy type place. I'll only have him for Friday......easy, this holiday lark

Sounds great Daisy. We didn't leave the house today but will have to tomorrow as we're all going a bit stir crazy. DCs don't have hols til next week. Not too sure what we'll do but think it will include a few trips to Covent Gdn to see daddy and have a few play dates arranged.

annobal · 11/02/2008 21:47

I'm off to bed soon - after sleeping through 3 nights in a row, DS3 is now waking 3 times in the night (maybe 4 - I lose count).

i lurve sushi; my family think I am very strange indeed. they think it is all about raw fish and i can't convince them otherwise.

am off to bed with the rest of my trashy, crap, but strangely compelling novel.

Hoping DD goes back to bed tomorrow after her morning feed so I can have a lie in; no 6am DS wake up call for me

Morning all

MHC You are showing Hun potential

I am still debating whether or not to sell my Cameleon. It's in perfect nick so I should do well out of it... but I just don't want to! I have no need for it...I just love it!

Daisy come on join us, sell your prams and buy a new one that you don't need

DS had 2 bottles for 1st Breakfast. He will have porridge and a banana for 2nd breakfast. I am worried he is on the path to obesity already.
Some of it is nursery food, some is my food.

Honestly I kid you not he eats more than me....he's not fat but he has this massive distended belly.

Is that right about the obesity? I had read somewhere that obesity can be traced back to overeating solids at a young age. TBH he looks brill, a right little bruiser, hardly any fat on him he's all muscle, but having battled with the bulge all my life I don't want him to as well!!

I was going to put my bugaboo up for £400 BIN including footmuff and parasol and all the bits from new including the original box. People seem to like the original boxes.
I had bag hooks but they fell off. They cost £1 from mothercare so I didn't lose any sleep.

I was hoping for £450 but I think that might be a bit greedy looking at what they seem to be selling for. I might put it up at £450 BIN or best offer

HellHathNoFury · 12/02/2008 10:31

It's in great shape, DS is at nursery, it's hardly been used lol

Good point MHC - £450 or best offer it is then. I don't want to regret selling it at all, let alone for a cheap price.

It has original box and packing etc. Anyway - we'll see - If I decide I like the P&T sufficiently I will sell it in the next week or so - or when I have time!

HellHathNoFury · 12/02/2008 11:40

I got pretty darn huge on risotto
speaking of which I am losing weight. How is everyone elses diet going? I have gone down a dress size (still an 18 mind, not quite waif like yet)

MHC I think it's just you and me today.

I don't look much different I am told but I feel fabulous, loads of energy.
All from cutting out bread, woohoo!

HellHathNoFury · 12/02/2008 15:32

ok....so it's just me then

FairyFay · 12/02/2008 17:32

Blimey, it's quiet on here today [Fairy ducks to avoid the tumbleweed]

Fury, have you just given up bread or all wheat? If it's working then I might give that a try. I did have success on a version of Atkins a few years ago. I basically ate meat, dairy, eggs and green veg. It was very dull but quite successful

I have just given up bread - not because of a conscious decision to give up bread, just because it cost me too many WW points!

I had some bread tonight and straight away I felt the difference, I really don't think it agrees with me.

I think I am interested in cutting out all wheat. What products have wheat in them?

HellHathNoFury · 12/02/2008 19:46

MHC yes I feel a million dollars since giving it up - aside from the weight loss I have so much more energy and focus and concentration. And lots of people are telling me how healthy I look.

I had garlic bread tonight and I am actually mad at myself for it now.

I don't really eat any crisps but yes I daresay they would. Interesting the link between wheat and thrush too - I have always been a bit too susceptible to that iyswim!!
Is it just things like pasta? I should look it up I guess!!

milkyJammy · 12/02/2008 20:11

Well people I know who have to avoid wheat/gluten because of coeliac disease say there's loads of stuff they can't eat. But I guess they take it a bit more seriously if the consequences are pain stomach pains and pooping very badly rather than feeling a bit sluggish and not losing weight?

HellHathNoFury · 12/02/2008 20:14

Jammy yes I'm reading about it now. I am certainly not in that league! No pains, just sluggish feeling and fat lol!

I figure cutting it out to some extent can't do any harm.
