Hope hip appt is good, Dooby xx

Pesha · 04/02/2008 10:40

Good to see you Dooby Hope hip appointment goes ok.

Hi Dippy, glad dd2 is asleep and hope P settles soon.

Just been searching for jobs on Directgov site. I fail to see how Manchester is within 5 miles of Yeovil Or even kent, lincolnshire or herefordshire Is bloody annoying when I've put 5 mles of yeovil in the search, see a job and think 'oooh I could do that!' and then realise its actually several hundred miles away Although have just phoned up about one job which sounds good and guy on the phone seemed nice and positive. Is going to send me application form which I prefer to sending CV off anyway!

I really should be catching up on washing and tidying after the weekend but just cant be arsed. Think I'll be lazy today and then try and catch up tomorrow! If I say the same thing again tomorrow someone give me a kick!!

CaptainDippy · 04/02/2008 10:53

Sounds promising, Pesha; but totally agree with you - some of the job sites I've come across are just crap!!

CaptainDippy · 04/02/2008 11:44

Wher'd everyone go!!? I have an annoying demanding ill child here ..... someone distract me!!

elkiedee · 04/02/2008 11:47

Hi Dooby, nice to see you about.

Sorry to hear you've had such a bad night Dippy.

D woke up but only for about half an hour which was much better, but he's only had a few minutes of sleep this morning so I expect he'll get really grizzly again - I've just had to take him for a walk - 2nd time today - and put the Teletubbies on. Hopefully he'll sleep on the way to Jolly Babies.

D is 9 months old today, as I know is one of the other babies from this thread. And now it's only 4 weeks until I go back to work, scary. I must ring the childminder and arrange to take him there for a bit of practice - it's going to feel so hard.

CaptainDippy · 04/02/2008 11:58

Hope he has a good sleep at some point today Elkie - have emailed you about blanket xx

mammyjo · 04/02/2008 12:18

Why do I keep losing my posts? Try again.

Took F to the doctors and he said it is a viral rash, phew!! Did think that would be what he said but feel happier that someone else has seen it.

Elkie, hope you manage to get D to sleep later. Good to hear he was only up for half an hour overnight though, vast improvement isnt it?

oooggs · 04/02/2008 12:21

hi dooby - good luck with the hospt. for Milo

dts slept 7pm - 5.20am (7oz of cows milk) then slept til 8.10am

DH should be home for breakast tomorrow!!

Ellie - glad you are home safely - bet you are shattered.

Runny you can try out your sat nav to Cornwall/Devon anytime

mammyjo · 04/02/2008 12:50

Hi oooggs

Bramshott · 04/02/2008 15:17

Just posting quick so I can find you later. Glad you had a good meetup.

Hope the chickenpox monster is gone soon CD.

Thanks for everyone who posted about milk/breakfast. I think I just need to try it but I feel unreasonably hesitant at making any changes to a routine that's working well (a creature of habit me!). I just have to remember that I want to stop bf when she's a year, and she's 10.5 months already so I'd better do something about it. Mind you, given Oooogs success last night, maybe she can have cows milk with her breakfast now - oh that would be a joy!

CaptainDippy · 04/02/2008 15:18

I hope so too, Bramshott - I've held on to my BF's little girl as she didn't want to leave - am I mad!!!? she's staying for tea now and then I'll get DH to drop her off home when he gets back from work....

Eddas · 04/02/2008 15:32

completly insane cd

Have taken a sicky today sent dc's to sil's as usual. then came home

Have been listing items on ebay for a couple of hours. IT'S SUCH A DULL TASK only a few hundred more things to go

Tis a bit sad as i'm getting rid of the baby things huge realisation that ds will be the last baby(well almost certainly) I really can't bring myself to say a definate no more babies. Not yet. Although DH has offered to have the snip

Bramshott · 04/02/2008 15:44

CD - you are mad, but then we knew that!!

Eddas - me too! I have photographed all of my baby stuff this morning in an attempt to make some cash. I have drafted one listing, but I don't want to make them live till Sunday - can I draft them all and then just make them live at the right time?!

Bramshott · 04/02/2008 15:47

Oh fuck, got to take N to swimming by hopefully back later for more counselling on (a) how to shift all my stuff on ebay; and (b) like Eddas - even though I know DD2 is my last baby and that'a considered and sensible decision, it makes me feel like crying every time I think about it

CaptainDippy · 04/02/2008 15:49

Would you do my stuff while you are at it, Eddas!!? Good for you - don't think there's anything wrong with throwing a sickiie and still keeping the children in whatever care facility they are in imho!

geordiemacminx · 04/02/2008 15:59

BRAMSHOTT - There is an option on the listings page to schedule the start of your listing?

Eddas · 04/02/2008 16:05

i'm no ebay expert but there's an ebay section on here that you could ask on. It costs to schedule the start doesn't it? So I just thought i'd do a few now then do some more later, ie another day

Bramshott, that's what i mean, i know ds should be the last but he's such a lovely baby and dd is a good girl despite my constant annoyance with her(it's a phase) I just love teeny babies. Hadn't realised how much until I had ds. I found dd really hard work but i think that's because she was the first. If money and space were no issue i'd have more. If I could afford to be a SAHM. Unfortunately it's not an option Best get buying those lottery tickets

CD, you can't sell your baby stuff, you'll need it again

StealthPolarBear · 04/02/2008 16:34

hi everyone
caught up from last post but not from before that
Have seen that a lot of babies seem ill

geordiemacminx · 04/02/2008 16:38

SPB - Where are the pics from yesterday?

Elkie - Its C's 9 month borthday today too

StealthPolarBear · 04/02/2008 16:42

Will post pics as soon as I can get the energy
Thank you for your text wishing us a good day
T was 9 mo about a week ago, yet for some reason DH is telling everyone who asks that he's nearly 10 months

StealthPolarBear · 04/02/2008 16:43

Meant to put in that
Happy 9 month birthday to C and D (was anyone else on this day?)

PillockOfTheCommunity · 04/02/2008 17:02

I'm going to have to love you and leave you ladies.

The twunty guy from housing has reported me to SS, told them the boys aren't being cared for properly and the house is unsafe. He didn't even come in my house and the boys were in the car so he didn't meet them either. Oh, and when I dragged them over to an appointment with him he didn't turn up.

Ss are coming out on Wednesday so I need to spend the time between now and then getting house straight.

xx

Eddas · 04/02/2008 17:06

potc can't believe you've been reported Anything we can do?

No idea on the pancakes

Hi SPB and GMM

NorthernLurker · 04/02/2008 17:06

POTC - horrified at housing idiot! Are you ok? Re pancakes - I wouldn't reheat homemade ones in microwave but you can buy Aunt Bessie ones which microwave fine!
