Sorry to confuse you all but inspiration just struck!

T is not angry with you! He loves you and you are doing a grand job. Ok - let him feed, calm down then reboot attempt to settle in cot He'll be so knackered he should go off - just needs to chill out a bit first.

AngeG · 05/02/2008 22:44

Glad you're feeding him SPB.

Does he usually settle in his cot?

Pesha · 05/02/2008 22:45

Sorry spb that sounds a bit crap and not very helpful. I hope you know what I was trying to say, I meant it to be a nice friendly suggestion but dont think it came out like that

Pesha · 05/02/2008 22:46

Off to bed now. Good luck katy, hope he settles for you soon

AngeG · 05/02/2008 22:48

Hi Pesha. That's how I'm feeling
about my boobs. I need my underwires back!

NL - You come across really calmly online! You're great

NorthernLurker · 05/02/2008 22:51

Oh Ange Do you know I felt really , really bad earlier - but now I've had my pizza and pancakes and things look a lot brighter - and you've just made my night

StealthPolarBear · 05/02/2008 22:52

pesha i know you're right. i think doing some bits of cc but not carrying through is worse than just doing it as it doesn't work! So i think we admit we can't do it and look at other ways.
He is asleep on me, will try cot now
he usually falls asleep feedinng, put in cot fine then awkes on and off till we go to bed. this has been happening for last month or so. not normally too much trouble to re settle tho.

StealthPolarBear · 05/02/2008 22:53

And NL, Ange is right, pity you can't get on that train

NorthernLurker · 05/02/2008 22:55

Oh stop - am v here!

AngeG · 05/02/2008 22:57

Glad you're feeling happier! Glad I helped with it I read your post on the prayer thread earlier (I lurk there a bit)

Glad T's asleep now. Agree that it's better to decide what 'method' to use and try to stick to it. Don't do CC if you find it hard, it is. Maybe try the gradual withdrawal technique?

Hope he settles now.

StealthPolarBear · 05/02/2008 23:00

wow he's asleep. Me cracking his head on the cot as I put him down might have helped
so much for my early night
thank you all for your moral support, I feel much better for deciding that we won't do CC, we're probably just confusing the poor kid. Going to buy the no cry sleep solution i think.

NorthernLurker · 05/02/2008 23:01

Oh of course I'm feeling better - it's an answer to prayer I am so stupid sometimes!

NorthernLurker · 05/02/2008 23:02

Good work SPB - are you off to bed now? Or a nice bath?

AngeG · 05/02/2008 23:03

I'm pleased he's asleep. Hope your head is ok?

CC is really hard and doesn't suit all babies or parents.

Hope you have a good nights sleep

Off to bed myself now, Night xx

AngeG · 05/02/2008 23:05

NL, Pizza and pancakes help as well

Night xx

StealthPolarBear · 05/02/2008 23:05

Night everyone, and thanks for offering to msn me until he slept, I really appreciate it.
Food and drink and bed for me!

AngeG · 05/02/2008 23:06

Night Katy. Anytime xx

NorthernLurker · 05/02/2008 23:08

Night all - new thread time soon - can I nominate 'April 2007 - Bring it on!

elkiedee · 06/02/2008 00:29

Hope you're all enjoying some good sleeping, I've been reading nightmare birth stories on another website and thinking mine seems quite positive by comparison.

And SPB, glad that you finally settled T.

Pesha · 06/02/2008 06:58

Am I first on?!?! Not sure thats ever happened before!!!

Got up to exercise but d woke at same time so sat feeding him

runnyhabbit · 06/02/2008 07:35

Drum roll please.......W ate last night
He woke about 9.30pm, all smiley and giggly. It was like someone had flicked a switch and our baby was back. Crawled all over our bed, wanted to eat read the bathroom catalogues, laughing, shouting and generally being a little rascal. Which is normal for him
Took him downstairs, and he wolfed down a bowl of porridge, and some pureed(sp) fruit. Went back to sleep about 10.30pm and is till sleeping

Morning Pesha

runnyhabbit · 06/02/2008 07:49

All the boys are sleeping so perfect time for some catch ups

SPB So glad that T slept. Here's a big (((hug))) for you. This parenting lark isn't always what it's cracked up to be.

WO Fingers crossed for you today. C is a sweetie! x

Ange Stopped wearing bras to bed ages ago. (unless it's a special occassion ) Although I don't need underwire (tbh, don't really need a bra ) I do wear them sometimes - seem to give me better shape.

As for bathseats - W did have one the one from Argos, but it seemed to take up a lot of room as I bath the 2 together. So Ijust get everything ready, then throw the 2 of them in

I can hear W talking to himself Good timing. Thank goodness Tesco is coming today. Think he's going to be on catch up!

Have a good day
x

StealthPolarBear · 06/02/2008 08:18

Morning everyone
pesha, exercise, are you mad??
runny at W eating
elkie, how can you stay up so late and still cram all you do into a day??

liath · 06/02/2008 08:18

Morning.

Runny, glad W is back to his normal self!

SPB, hope it was a settled night. So hard to know what the best option is to settle them.

GMM, how is C doing? You've had a rubbish run recently , how's the gammy knee?

WO, fingers crossed for the work situation being sorted.

Sorry, minds a blank again but hope everyone's ok, seems there'#s a lot of poorly babies and knackered mummies, roll on spring.

Mine are both over their bugs thank goodness. Looks kineit's going to be a beautiful sunny day here so will try and get out to the park or something. Wish J would stop keeling over and hitting his head, we've got wooden floors and at this rate he'll have no brain cells left by the time he's one....

Eddas · 06/02/2008 08:24

Hi everyone

Just been depressing myself first thing in the morning by updating my money spreadsheet(can you tell i'm an accountant) it's so depressing. Have been setting up e-savings accounts to cover things like oil/car/christmas and after all that's taken out we're not left with enough really. It's not really enough to cover petrol/food/clothes all those type of things why is life so expensive
