oohhh how exciting potc

Well, my day was pants to start with - had a migraine from hell. Haven't had one for ages, so knocked me for six. Took the boys to nursery, then rang my boss to tell him I wouldn't be in. As you can imagine, he wasn't too happy.
Slept for most of the morning, migraine had cleared - hurrah! picked the boys up, then mj came over with her lo, and we had tea (well the boys had dinner, and me and mj had tea and cake)
The boys were so cute playing together, although F stayed up well past her bedtime

I've got an interview for an office admin job on 29th Feb! And the office is less than a mile from my house. Still going to look around though. My plan atm is to go temping, then see about studying accountancy/AAT. Really need to speak to some career type people though.

Anyway, best get off to bed (after I've sorted out bags/clothes/stuff for tomorrow)

Night all
x

Not on a first date then ...

Octothechildherder · 10/01/2008 22:49

When I was younger (ahem) I was a kind of girl who went out for one drink, got trollied, met a nice bloke, snogged him and accidentally shagged him! I never went out solely for that purpose but it happened oooh now and then Tried it with dh when we first met but he sid he wanted to wait oh the shame

Octothechildherder · 10/01/2008 22:54

Had a tea spitting moment today - went round for a coffee at a friends who have babies same age as us and another friend said that she has started tieing her dd to the cot so she can't roll around at anight I laughed so much I cried - other lady spat her tea and when told dh he muttered something about social services and his subscription to the nspcc!

Octothechildherder · 10/01/2008 23:00

I'll go to bed then as talking to myself! (not as much as elkie does though LOL)

AngeG · 10/01/2008 23:02

Quick hello as I'm off to bed now!

Be thinking of you tomorrow Oooggs. Those bags are lovely.

SOL - Glad meal with FIL was ok.

IDOC - Sorry your first few days back haven't been that great. I agree with others give it a little more time before making any life changing decisions.

Bramshott - Good luck with the cake, I wouldn't even attempt it.

NL - Hope you have a good time.

Poor bumble with her flooded flat, hope it gets sorted soon.

Hi Pesha!

POTC - hope you have a good time. Be ready to spill all the gory details!!

Nothing to report really here, except Izzy has made her ear bleed again, by scratching it. Socks on her hands again tonight.

Anyway better go, DH thinks his luck might be in tonight

AngeG · 10/01/2008 23:04

Ooh at Ellie's date on Saturday, look forward to the report on Sunday morning (she says hopefully). LOL and harumph at Octo.

Maveta · 11/01/2008 07:45

lol at octo´s description of when she was younger sounds like me, except dh was the opposite, in fact I think it´s what made him fall in love with me, like minds and all that

Oooggs, thinking of you today x

POTC - can´t wait for more news re. the date!

Ange - gorgeous photos, can´t believe how tiny Jake was totally adorable, both of them

..got to give N breakfast..

Maveta · 11/01/2008 07:50

and does anyone else have a big empty banner at the top of the page that stops you reading the first line on the topmost post?? It´s so annoying.

Sexonlegs · 11/01/2008 08:10

Morning all!

Ooooh POTC, how exciting! Have fun !

Bramshott, good luck with the cake! I haven't made a cake since Home Economics class when I was 14!!

Runny, good luck with the job interview. That is weeks away isn't it! Did you mean 29th Feb????

Octo, pmsl at you and your active past! You go girl!

Ooogggs, hope today goes ok for you - will be thinking about you.

Ange, did dh get lucky !!??

Dh thought he was going to get lucky - must be something in the Hampshire water!

Maveta, no empty boxes here... apart from my brain..

Hope everyone is ok.

Right, need to start battle with B to get dressed. See ya later. x

Maveta · 11/01/2008 08:55

hi sol!

actually in my last post I meant my dh was the opposite to octo´s dh, not the opposite to me

Been to work and electricity off til 12.30pm so have come home again. Darn shame that..

Sexonlegs · 11/01/2008 09:51

Where are you all?? Washed away by the rain!?

Maveta, what a shame about the electricity !

Supposed to be going to Sing and Sign this morning, but am having second thoughts. It is a whole hour of the same thing. Has anyone been to this?

Pesha · 11/01/2008 09:55

PMSL at Octo "accidently shagging them" Ahhh those were the days

With dp we met on a sat and then he came round on the sun and I wouldnt even kiss him cos wasnt sure how i felt about him. Met him at my friend's on the tues, had a lot of few drinks and decided to kiss him to see if we connected and ended up accidently shagging him!!

Does it make me a bad mum that I've chucked D in the highchair with a hot cross bun for brekkie so I can come on here?

CaptainDyson · 11/01/2008 09:58

Morning!

Ange - sod the sock on hands - just tie up to her cot - that'll stop that naughty ear itching!!!!!! (ROFL Octo)

Oooooooh, POTC - How exciting!!

I neeeeeeeeed to go back to work - doesn't matter if I miss my girlies or not

Mmmmmmmmmm, brain has melted .....

CaptainDyson · 11/01/2008 10:00

I didn't have sex til I woz Wed!

Sing and sign is fab SOL - thoroughly recommend it - it's not the same things - loads and loads of different songs etc and the children love singing them and interacting etc

Sexonlegs · 11/01/2008 10:04

Thanks Dyson. I'll give it a whirl today and see how we do.

And v refrained on the sex front.

Gotta go - someone in the house smells, and it isn't me!!

cazboldy · 11/01/2008 10:04

Morning all.

dh got today, tomorrow and sunday off, so might not be on here much...

just a quick question....does everyone (or anyone?) else find that they want to keep saying dh/dc in RL?

Pesha · 11/01/2008 10:29

Lol Caz - yes I do!! E\specially as we're not married and I'm too old to say boyfriend I think and partner sounds naff so saying dp would be so much easier! When I rang up about my car I so nearly said 'oh my dp had a look at it'

SOL - very of sing and sign, would love to go to something like that but nothing round here. They have a music thing for toddlers that I took N to once but he just wouldn't sit still and join in, was desperate to do his own thing and run around like a nutter! He was sooo not a sit nicely and join in kinda boy! Theres also Jumping Beans which I took him to a few times thats like a gymnastics thing that he loved but even there they had sitting round and singing at the start and end and all he ever wanted to be doing was climbing and running and jumping.

CaptainDyson · 11/01/2008 10:38

I don't want to say it neccesarily, but I do find myself wanting to type it and write it all the time!!

My name is CD and I am an MN addict!!

Oooooh, three days off, Caz - Enjoy! xx

NorthernLurker · 11/01/2008 10:56

byeeeeeeee off for weekend now - have fun - especially potc on date night!

Sexonlegs · 11/01/2008 10:56

Oh dear, K asleep and sing and sign starts in 10 minutes! Naughty mummy. I can't be arsed today as it is peeing with rain, and I would have to park about half a mile from the place it is in. Lazy mummy.

Pesha, have you looked at all4kidsuk.com or something like that, as they list groups in the UK - that's how I found Baby Sensory and Sing and Sign.
IKWYM re not sitting nicely. B was a pita at gymtots - until she was at the age where they just went in with the instructor and the mums sat outside. Sh was as good as gold then!!

CaptainDyson · 11/01/2008 11:06

Byeeeeeeeeee NL - have a super time!!

Not bad lazy mummy at all - I think all the reason you stated were perfectly logical and reasonable ones, SOL! Enjoy the peace and quiet ......
