well those chocolate fingers were just asking to be eaten in my opinion!
Will be thinking of you tomorrow Oooggs - off to Scotland for fil's birthday so won't be back on-line till Monday but you and all your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Idreamofchocolate · 10/01/2008 20:41

Ooopps Oooggs! Must have been the chocolate biscuit monster (not you obviously). Hope all goes well tomorrow x

Sexonlegs · 10/01/2008 20:49

Oooggs, hope all goes well tomorrow flower.

L, have a truly wonderful weekend.

IDOC, I love the way you write about S. I feel the same about K - she truly is my angel baby and I love her with a passion.

Sexonlegs · 10/01/2008 20:51

Meant to be NL not L! Trying to type quietly again so as not to piss dh off!!

oooggs · 10/01/2008 20:52

photo of bags on profile Jack has a fire Engine and Erin has princess stuff but there were loads to choose from

Sexonlegs · 10/01/2008 21:36

Lovely bags Oooggs!

So quiet tonight. I am off to bed, so see you all in the morning. Sleep well all. xx

Bramshott · 10/01/2008 21:36

Thanks for cake advice NL - I will be on here tomorrow night for cake counselling!! Oh, no, you'll be away - argggghhh!

IDOC - I must say that I love being back at work, and couldn't do the SAHM thing full time, but I am very lucky as O is only with the childminder 9.30 - 3.30 Tue & Wed and 9.30 -12.30 Thurs. It's all about getting the right balance for you. Mind you, just now I have so little work that last month I earned about £220, paid the childminder £150, and put aside £43 for my tax so I cleared £27 for the month -

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/01/2008 21:39

NorthernLurker · 10/01/2008 21:53

Pesha · 10/01/2008 21:55

Aaaargh - just lost a post again as IE had to close - why then?!?!?

Oooggs - hope tomorrow goes okay for you - will be thinking of you And love the bags - very cute!

SOL - glad the evening with ILs went okay, breathing a sigh of relief for you

Ellie - Who is he?!?

Bramshott - I would also make the 6 egg cake, better to have too much than not enough. And I find it much easier to carve and decorate a cake if its not 2 cakes sandwiched together. I tend to ice with coloured butter icing first and then do the detail with this icing which is dead easy to cut to whatever shape you want. I normally buy a pack of the white icing too. I like making birthday cakes Hopefully going to help bf make her dd2 a dora cake next week!

Pesha · 10/01/2008 21:58

Sorry took ages looking for my link, they didnt have a pic on tesco site!

YAY Ellie - you managed to find a man over 5 foot!! More details please?! How'd you meet him, whats he do, any dc, whats he look like? (Putting that last so it doesnt seem like my main interest even though it is )

Bramshott · 10/01/2008 22:00

Thanks Pesha - sounds good. I have the ready made icing, but in white, and a load of food colouring so I can get multicoloured hands! I quite like making cakes too, although I misread your last sentence as that you were going to be bf and making a Dora cake and was impressed by your multi-tasking!!

Off to bed now, I can't take the pace!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/01/2008 22:01

no dc, works in IT, full details being typed now....

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/01/2008 22:05

Went out on Friday last week with Cath, met up with some people from where she works (and I used to work). Then another one (S)walks in, with one of his mates (SL). Cath and Liz thought it would be great to set me up with this guy, much hilarity ensued as they were making signals to S and winding me up. I thought SL looked nice, but didn't think much more of it as it was all a big wind-up.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/01/2008 22:14

So Cath and S are then texting between them after we'd left the pub (had to get back to Joe), I thought they were messing around still, but turns out they weren't, S gave SL my number and told him I really fancied him so he should text me. I get a random text that night saying hi, text Cath and yes, she'd passed on my number

We've been texting ever since, and on msn chatting (hence me not being on here much and up far too late at night).

He is younger than me, by 18mths. He also now works where I used to, with Cath and S but in a different dept.

He is on my facebook as a friend now, and started a group called the chicken mcnugget challenge so you can investigate him there

It's not really an official date, more a, we're both going out with mates to the same place so we can meet in person and hopefully hit it off, sort of thing

I'm excited, can you tell?

OP posts:
Pesha · 10/01/2008 22:37

Thats cos it is exciting!!

Will look on facebook tomorrow, going to bed now.

Bramshott - I know I've been confusing myself with the bf thing but its so much easier than typing best friend all the time.

Car having exhaust and MOT tomorrow. DP thinks it needs 2 new tyres and new brakes as well as the holey exhaust and who knows what else Why are cars so bloody expensive

Right off to bed. Night all x x
