Congrats again Married Nika so pleased it all went swimmingly.

at xray so difficult to try and protect when the proffessionals don't! I'm currently gently fuming at our dietician and her attitude to bf'ing over 1 year but that's a whole other thread.
Thanks for the info about the review it's in the back of my mind at the mo' but as it gets closer i'm sure it will be a scarier concept (although I know it really shouldn't be)

lydie seems to be teething at the mo sore, sore bottom, night waking, difficult naps mainlining calpol (if she could ) and generally a nightmare for the past 48 hours remind me how long dors this last arrrgghh!

I no longer have suitcase under my eyes but a salesmans traveling trunk!

oh well off to enjoy ! the football or I may just be very sad and read my gardening books,

love to you all
Doris

I am sharing yor pain doris! Minimeep is managing about 2-3 hours sleep then the tears start. I feel like I have a newborn in the house - small snatches of sleep and a baby that is happiest sleeping on me! I am next to useless at work each day and while minimeep is mainlining calpol (great description doris) I am mainlining coffee! Ugh! We have had it so easy up till now so I shouldn't really complain!

JennsterSlugSlayer · 14/06/2008 18:33

I've just found ds INSIDE the dishwasher

meep · 14/06/2008 18:59

I suppose it could be a new way to get him clean!

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 14/06/2008 22:07

don't think he'd really be up for the turbo dry tho'!!

The really are rug rats they get everywhere !!!!!!

( and unfortunately Lydie is a climber dd1 was soooooooo much easier!

JennsterSlugSlayer · 14/06/2008 23:58

Oh yes. I could plonk dd down and she would maybe move an inch. DS has a temperature, runny nappies and is cutting another molar! Still not got his 8th incisor and no sign of any canines? Poor chap.

JennsterSlugSlayer · 15/06/2008 00:00

He was after the spoon I decanted the yoghurt out of the big pot.

meep · 15/06/2008 10:00

I am just realising that we haven't really done much babyproofing since minimeep has only just started to move now - it came into full focus this morning as I saw her wee hand reach forward .......... to grab my hair straighteners - which were on - damn that flashing red light - far too tempting for little people. So I have found a new safe home for them - phew!

I have this huge fear that someone will leave the iron out and she will make a lunge for the flex and it will crash down on her - shudder.

bilblio · 15/06/2008 21:11

Hi all, sorry I've not been around much, a rough time at work + a turbo charged crawler who's into everything and not sleeping means by the time I get chance to get on the computer I'm usually too tired to catch up with MN - and I've become addicted to Facebook Poker.

Congrats MMN, so pleased you had a good day.
And Congrats to 2+1 and your other half, I don't envy you packing up a house alone though. We've only moved once and I swore never again, I've too many messy hobbies to try packing them up. Good luck!

It sounds like so much other stuff has happened but I'm not going to try to comment on it all.

We're doing okay here, more sleep would help but it sounds like we're not alone there.
B has been waking at any time from 4am onwards, sometimes she'll go back to sleep often she won't. We've done well tonight, she was asleep by 8, but often she's still awake at 9:30. This has gone on for weeks so we were tired anyway, but this week she's started teething again (no.s 7 & 8) so she's waking in the night too. We're all shattered.

We've just spent a week away in Somerset thanks to Mr Brown and his tax credits . Luckily we got a bargain on a 2 bedroomed cottage so DP and I took it in turns seeing to her in the night so at least one of us got a decent nights sleep. It was also good that she passed the magic 19lb mark the week before so we could move onto the forward facing car seat so the long drive was a lot easier.

While we were away she got really good at pulling herself up, and is finally standing with both feet down rather than keeping the top of one foot on the floor.

We had great fun on the beach, whenever she picks anything up at home she offers it to us first to see if she's allowed to chew it. I was expecting to be chasing after her on the sand but she just sat on the edge of the blanket offering us every pebble or bit of sand she picked up.

I can't believe our babies are turning 1 either, this year has flown by.
We're expecting a busy fortnight with 3 parties. B's 1st, my niece's 2nd (I missed her party last year) then my 31st which I will be celebrating properly as the highlight of my 30th was taking the pram out for the first time and going to the park

madmarriedNika · 16/06/2008 23:18

just a quickie- hope B starts sleeping better soon Bilblio, you have my sympathies. DD is beginning to sleep a bit better, but still ends up in with us for a third of each night!
at Jennster's DS...kids really are so singleminded...to put it politely...once they want something to hell with anything in their way let alone possible danger...!

Just added a couple of our wedding photos to my profile- still haven't had many back from friends yet so if we get some better ones will replace them. Still amazed by how good the kids were! xx

great idea 2+1! Forgot to say that the fangs are very impressive!

Love the photos madmarried - especially your dd's serious look - very cute!

Ladies - keep your fingers crossed for me tonight - I don't know if I can cope with dd waking every 3 hours again - sigh!

meep · 17/06/2008 22:20
