Oh and thank you all for kind comments re my dog and money and sick baby and all.

nappynuttynormabutty · 19/10/2007 00:04

Pesha - sorry you're having such a hard time at the mo with dog/baby/ex-dp worries.

Leaky - glad Eva's doing better, hope she gets good results tomorrow.

Elkie - sorry you're having a hard time with D. I think it must be a phase they go through because Erin's been a bit more difficult the last few days. Same to you SMB, hope thing's get better with T.

Right better be off to bed now I think. Night all x

SharpMolarBear · 19/10/2007 06:57

Morning everyone
Hope the news from Eva's tests is good today xx
elkie, glad you had a better evening than afternoon with D. T calmed down a bit then went to bed at 7.20 but we had quiet an unsettled night Still, not too bad.
Pesha at your ex. Sounds very dodgy that he's taken a pay cut at the same time his new partner's got a job, if they only take his income into account Well done on getting the job!
Maveta, very impressed at your EC! I'd like to say I did something similar yesterday, but in fact T just weed all over his mat He also fell off the bed (did I already say that?
Pillock, what are you planning to study? How on earth do you find time for all the stuff you do?? Think you should write a book.
Hi nutty, are you around this morning....nope, that was from last night

SharpMolarBear · 19/10/2007 06:59

Pesha, that was well done to you by the way, I wasn't congratulating your ex or his dp!
Especially since he doesn't understand that M's stuff costs the same no matter how much he earns!

phdlife · 19/10/2007 07:07

good morning you lot

am going to spy on your thread, see if anyone else's lo is giving them as rough a time as I'm getting atm

phdlife · 19/10/2007 07:13

ah yes I see Sharp's having a bad time too

what gives, do you know?

liath · 19/10/2007 07:19

Hi phdlife - do you have a night waker too? How's the BLW by the way?

SharpMolarBear · 19/10/2007 07:40

hi phdlife and liath
I'd like to say teething, but if that was the case he'd have a full set by now
I sometimes worry that I don't entertain him enough
What's up with your LO?
How's BLW going you 2? We are still 1% eaten, 99% sucked/thrown around/smeared into high chair!

SharpMolarBear · 19/10/2007 07:41

Does anyone else have a baby who just needs entertaining all awake time? Baby gym not enough, i need to BE there

Eddas · 19/10/2007 07:49

Hi everyone,
Pesha, i may be talking out my a@>; but I thought the CSA took both wages into account if they're living together. I may be wrong but i'm sure an ex-college moaned about that to me(her dh had another child) and also a friend said the same thing as her dh(well her then dp)has a son. The mother of that child shot herself in the foot a bit as the bloke was paying her direct. She thought she'd get more through the csa so went through them and she got less as the csa take part of it! Serves her right, they had a great agreement. He paid half of all uniforms and had him friday to sunday night and always bought him clothes at weekends(she'd send him without any).

Sorry that was a bit of a waffle

I have the preschool AGM last night and am now a committee member was at how few parents turned up. Especially as you were able to look through your childs folder. Was PMSLing at some of dd's comments, erm what can I rememeber....

'she was upset that nobody would play on the rocker with her. I suggested that she sit in the middle. She said but then it won't go up and down'

'she knew lots of letters and something to go with them, 'd' for daddy, 'h' for Harry(listed a few more), she then became bored but probably knew a lot more!'

The comments were all very dd and could imagine what had happened! Bless, would love to be a fly on the wall to see what she gets up to!

Right off to do stuff as got a plumber coming at 8.30 to start the bathroom, yipeeee!

Eddas · 19/10/2007 07:50

SMB, ds would be like that but dd does have a use dd on the other hand was very hard work!

liath · 19/10/2007 07:55

Ditto to Eddas - toddlers very handy for baby-entertainment although have to be careful with dd as if she thinks ds wants a toy she'll try and drag him over to it by one arm .

More smeared than eaten here too but he seems to be enjoying it. Some must be going in as the poo has changed .

SharpMolarBear · 19/10/2007 08:13

yes, poo very yukky now!
So i need to get hold of a toddler then to make my life easier?
eddas, lol at your dd's comments!

Sexonlegs · 19/10/2007 08:21

Morning lassies.

Sorry to those who have had pants nights. Here's to a better one tonight.

Pesha, I meant to say huge congrats on the new job - fab!

POTC, what are going to study?

Liath, ikwym re the food/poo. K's is changing too thank God - much less yukky! Enjoy your breakfasts' ladies!

All ok here. Apart from the fact that B wet the bed last night - big time. She hasn't done this for months and months and did have a wee before bed. So a broken night, but not as bad as some of you. Dh was in a right shit mood as we didnt have any more bed mats. Well darling, you can go and buy some - why is it up to me to buy them - I do everything else in this flippin' house! Rant over!

Hope everyone is ok. See you later. x

Eddas · 19/10/2007 08:43

SMB, toddler highly recommended BUT only for baby entertaining, they talk FAR too much

Oh yes, i forgot, well done on the job Pesha, really pleased for you

POTC, a degree plus 2 ds's you will be busy, but well worth it

Liath, we had that 'incident' with ds's arm and ever since dd seems to be being very careful with him. Was horrible but I guess he was ok and she was very worried so makes her think before dragging him about! not that she needs to now as he rolls where-ever he wants to get too but then gets annoyed when he gets stuck on the sofa/doorframe/table etc

phdlife · 19/10/2007 09:20

sorry to disappear, thought I might get some more kip

no he's not a night-waker (thank god), just last night around 4am I became aware he was furiously sucking his fingers, falling asleep, fingers slipped out, he JUMPS, frantic getting fingers back in, furious sucking, repeat ad infinitum. And lots of ear pulling. Finally I get up to give him some calpol and by the time I get back to give it to him, he's... conked out. So I get back in bed and listen to dp snoring, until just as I get warm, gcse starts again. This time with whimpering. So I give him the drugs and that wakes him up and he wants to party (why not by then he's had 10hrs ). Let's just say by 6am I'd given up and got up.

BLW... think it's going too slowly. He's only having 1 meal a day, I'm struggling with timing it so he's neither too full to be uninterested nor too hungry to be frustrated. So far broccoli is his #1 fave, then carrots and baby corn. He's also had steamed zucc and sweet potato but doesn't seem fussed about them. Feel like I should be giving him more but don't know what - too stupid cos of lack of sleep!

oooggs · 19/10/2007 09:24

we have been up since 5.30am, its the middle of the night ffs

eddas - the csa policies and formulas have changed and I don't think they take parnters into it anymore, but do take other children (I used to work there )

SharpMolarBear · 19/10/2007 09:26

phdlife iirc the whole point of blw is that they can't go too slowly, if they're not eating much (like my ds) then it's because they're not ready yet. It will happen! (or so i keep telling myself)

SharpMolarBear · 19/10/2007 09:26

oooggs

phdlife · 19/10/2007 09:51

well he certainly seems to like it, he grabs great handfuls and gets all frustrated if it doesn't go in his gob straight away - and yesterday he was practically climbing me to get at my cheese-and-ham-on-granary which I cruelly held out of reach - feel like it's me that's going slowly, more than him.

{sad] oooggs.

nappynuttynormabutty · 19/10/2007 09:53

Sorry about the bad nights Oooggs, SMB & phdlife.

at your dh SOL. I know what you mean tho, my dh does the same - lets stuff run out and be needed before he thinks to get any more. I always feel like I have to remember everything.

Eddas · 19/10/2007 09:53

oh oooggs little blighters

Re the CSA, that makes more sense TBH, was never sure why partners income was included as it's not their child, but I guess my info is from 5 years ago, doesn't seem that long! There must be a fairer way to get the children to have the money they need. Mind you it's a bit like the crap tax credits system. A great idea from mr government but in relity has left lots of people in shit financially, and all mr govs fault!

Sorry rant over but the government do piss me off

phdlife · 19/10/2007 10:03

nappynormabutty, are you married to my dh?!?

and does yours do that thing?

"Oh, you'd better put tea on the shopping list I've just used the last bag."

"did you look in the pantry for a spare box?"

"no but I will... there isn't one."

"try again, dear."
