tallulah about the BF comment. You are doing a great job, she's healthy, happy and growing, what more can they expect?

andiem · 20/09/2007 12:43

hi ladies what is it about passports took ds2s for check and send at post office and his partner who did the declaration has done it wrong so now have to fill the whole thing out again aagh

I went to work yesterday and it was very doom and gloom no one likes the new boss and they are very unhappy methinks I might be about to become a sahm which secretly I think I want to do anyway

catch up later ladies have friend coming for lunch

bumper hope all goes well at bf clinic

andiem · 20/09/2007 12:44

tallulah tell them to f*rk off I didn't even fill in the questionnaire the hv rang me and said are u alright ok then you don't need to do it

Jamantha · 20/09/2007 12:50

tallulah!

I got given a PND questionnaire by my GP, as the HV had failed to give me one. Was told to fill it in at home and return it to the surgery reception. But I'd lost it by the time I got home . Had already discussed it with both HV and GP though as was on ADs pre-pregnancy, and I can't be bothered to go get another questionnaire unless they make me.

Charlie999 · 20/09/2007 13:00

at GP/HV for you Tallulah....going to change mine as well...useless! I think the PND things are a waste of time anyway. I filled mine in already on ADs and HV said I was fine

Bloody hell...don't think I'll bother taking DD abroad just yet....Hope he gets there in time Daisy...obviously found your marriage certificate then.....

Charlie999 · 20/09/2007 13:02

at the dental stuff in Scotland....had no idea about high rate of decay in Scotland...unusual to see these days I thought...my mouth is full of fillings....but my neices and nephews have not had a filling between the 7 of them.

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/09/2007 13:23

We're only off to centreparcs Charlie....it was cheaper to go to Belgium in the October hols rather than one in this country. It is costing 1000euros, including bike hire for half the week, in a vip villa, rather than £1400 for a basic villa in the Lakes and no bike hire. I was truly at the UK prices. So even if we add in the ferry fare, it still works out much much cheaper.

And strangely enough we have about the same amount of driving to do....it's just separated by an overnight ferry trip.

got the bunf through this morning...am getting very excited. Now all we need is some passports for the DCs!

Got more nappies today.....and another rikki wrap that I don't even remember ordering. This has got to stop

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/09/2007 13:26

Oh, I noticed something very odd going on with my boobs last night....BFers, any comments here

bumperlicious · 20/09/2007 13:39

afternoon all.

Talullah at bf comment, that's ridiculous.

Sorry for all your passport problems.

Do your HVs give out pnd tests as standard? i asked my gp & she says they don't, they just go on how they think we are when they see us, despite my notes saying i could be at risk

feeding seems to be better. went to the bf group & the counsellor didn't seem to know what the problem is but just suggested different positions.

feel bad though, at my tuesday group there is a new mum who i suggested go to bumps & babes and she said she text me today before going. well I went to the bf group instead and forgot my phone and didn't have her number to tell he i wasn't going. i missed a text & call from her. feel really bad coz it's so hard in those 1st weeks. I text her when i got back to let her know why i wasn't there, but haven't heard bad. I feel really bad...

bumperlicious · 20/09/2007 13:45

By the way, there is an event on to raise money for the counties bf groups which i am considering participating in...

...walking over hot coals!

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/09/2007 13:47

bumper, don't feel bad, I'm sure she'll understand. You could always give her a call and see if she wants to meet for a coffee.

I'm glad things are a bit better today. Your boobs start to regulate better around this time and start to work on a more supply and demand basis. If she's been used to lots of milk really quickly, but is now having to work at it a bit, it could be enough to make her cross. DD goes through stages like this and sometimes worries at my boobs like a terrier with a soft toy, but it passes and order is restored. They have a 12 week growth spurt as well, which might not be helping. trying to stay calm and unstressed will do wonders, and get drinking fennel tea and eating oats for keeping your supply up!

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/09/2007 13:49

I'll sponsor you bumper.....

Jamantha · 20/09/2007 13:50

hot coals! are you mad?

do oats increase supply? is that why i've fancied all things oaty since having DD?

Jamantha · 20/09/2007 13:51

if youdo it, i'll sponsor you though

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/09/2007 13:57

Apparently so Jamantha. There is no scientific evidence, but apparently lots of anecdotal evidence.

...Maybe throw in a few handfuls of prime grazing for good measure as well

bumperlicious · 20/09/2007 14:05

do flapjacks count?!

bumperlicious · 20/09/2007 14:08

hmm, spoke too soon about the feeding...she wants more but won't latch on. She's been going about 20mins though so isn't starving enough to warrant these screams!

bumperlicious · 20/09/2007 14:11

and she's learned how to grab hair!

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/09/2007 14:12

flapjacks most definately count....

......about 6 points on WW

stick with her bumper and stay calm. Did you see tiktok's advice on your thread...she is a wise and lovely lady.

annobal · 20/09/2007 14:15

Absolutely Bumper

Sorry you are still having problems bf.

I took ds1&2 to nursery today and ds1 went off and sat on the cushions all by himself . I gave him a cuddle and had a little chat with him but i do wonder if he has been there too long and needs more stimulation.

His birthday party is next weekend so i might take him off and buy some things for party bags with him this weekend.

annobal · 20/09/2007 14:24

have i scared everyone away

bumperlicious · 20/09/2007 14:25

Arrrggghhhhh! I'm taking her out. if nothing else the screaming won't seem so loud outside

bumperlicious · 20/09/2007 14:26

hi annobal sorry to love you and leave you, will chat later x

annobal · 20/09/2007 14:28
